KING JAMES BIBLENEW AMERICAN BIBLE
I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.1 Of David, when he feigned madness before Abimelech, who forced him to depart.
My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.2 I will bless the LORD at all times; praise shall be always in my mouth.
O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together.3 My soul will glory in the LORD that the poor may hear and be glad.
I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.4 Magnify the LORD with me; let us exalt his name together.
They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.5 I sought the LORD, who answered me, delivered me from all my fears.
This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.6 Look to God that you may be radiant with joy and your faces may not blush for shame.
The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.7 In my misfortune I called, the LORD heard and saved me from all distress.
O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.8 The angel of the LORD, who encamps with them, delivers all who fear God.
O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.9 Learn to savor how good the LORD is; happy are those who take refuge in him.
The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.10 Fear the LORD, you holy ones; nothing is lacking to those who fear him.
Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the LORD.11 The powerful grow poor and hungry, but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing.
What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good?12 Come, children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the LORD.
Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.13 Who among you loves life, takes delight in prosperous days?
Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.14 Keep your tongue from evil, your lips from speaking lies.
The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.15 Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.
The face of the LORD is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.16 The LORD has eyes for the just and ears for their cry.
The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.17 The LORD'S face is against evildoers to wipe out their memory from the earth.
The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.18 When the just cry out, the LORD hears and rescues them from all distress.
Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.19 The LORD is close to the brokenhearted, saves those whose spirit is crushed.
He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.20 Many are the troubles of the just, but the LORD delivers from them all.
Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate.21 God watches over all their bones; not a one shall be broken.
The LORD redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.22 Evil will slay the wicked; those who hate the just are condemned.
The LORD redeems loyal servants; no one is condemned whose refuge is God.
