¹ Praise ye the LORD: for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant; and praise is comely.	¹ Alleluia. Louez le Seigneur, car Il est bon de Le chanter; * que la louange soit agréable à notre Dieu et digne de Lui.
² The LORD doth build up Jerusalem: he gathereth together the outcasts of Israel.	² C'est le Seigneur qui bâtit Jérusalem, * et qui doit rassembler les dispersés d'Israël.
³ He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.	³ Il guérit ceux dont le coeur est brisé, * et Il bande leurs plaies;
⁴ He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names.	⁴ Il compte la multitude des étoiles, * et Il leur donne des noms à toutes.
⁵ Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite.	⁵ Notre Seigneur est grand, et Sa puissance est grande, * et Sa sagesse n'a point de bornes.
⁶ The LORD lifteth up the meek: he casteth the wicked down to the ground.	⁶ Le Seigneur protège ceux qui sont doux; * mais Il abaisse les pécheurs jusqu'à terre.
⁷ Sing unto the LORD with thanksgiving; sing praise upon the harp unto our God:	⁷ Chantez au Seigneur une action de grâces; * célébrez notre Dieu sur la harpe.
⁸ Who covereth the heaven with clouds, who prepareth rain for the earth, who maketh grass to grow upon the mountains.	⁸ C'est Lui qui couvre le ciel de nuages, * et qui prépare la pluie pour la terre; qui fait croître l'herbe sur les montagnes, * et les plantes pour l'usage des hommes;
⁹ He giveth to the beast his food, and to the young ravens which cry.	⁹ qui donne leur nourriture aux bêtes, * et aux petits des corbeaux qui crient vers Lui.
¹⁰ He delighteth not in the strength of the horse: he taketh not pleasure in the legs of a man.	¹⁰ Ce n'est pas dans la force du cheval qu'Il Se complaît, * et Il ne met pas Son plaisir dans les jambes de l'homme.
¹¹ The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy.	¹¹ Le Seigneur met Son plaisir en ceux qui Le craignent, * et en ceux qui espèrent en Sa miséricorde.
¹² Praise the LORD, O Jerusalem; praise thy God, O Zion.	¹² Jérusalem, loue le Seigneur; * loue ton Dieu, ô Sion.
¹³ For he hath strengthened the bars of thy gates; he hath blessed thy children within thee.	¹³ Car Il a consolidé les verrous de tes portes; * Il a béni tes fils au milieu de toi.
¹⁴ He maketh peace in thy borders, and filleth thee with the finest of the wheat.	¹⁴ Il a établi la paix sur tes frontières, * et Il te rassasie de la fleur du froment.
¹⁵ He sendeth forth his commandment upon earth: his word runneth very swiftly.	¹⁵ Il envoie Ses ordres à la terre, * et Sa parole court avec vitesse.
¹⁶ He giveth snow like wool: he scattereth the hoarfrost like ashes.	¹⁶ Il fait tomber la neige comme de la laine; * Il répand la gelée blanche comme de la cendre.
¹⁷ He casteth forth his ice like morsels: who can stand before his cold?	¹⁷ Il lance Sa glace par morceaux; * qui peut résister devant Son froid?
¹⁸ He sendeth out his word, and melteth them: he causeth his wind to blow, and the waters flow.	¹⁸ Il envoie Sa parole et Il fond ces glaces; * Son vent souffle, et les eaux coulent.
¹⁹ He sheweth his word unto Jacob, his statutes and his judgments unto Israel.	¹⁹ Il annonce Sa parole à Jacob, * Ses jugements et Ses préceptes à Israël.
²⁰ He hath not dealt so with any nation: and as for his judgments, they have not known them. Praise ye the LORD.	²⁰ Il n'a pas agi de même pour toutes les nations, * et Il ne leur a pas manifesté Ses préceptes.
