1 Praise ye the LORD: for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant; and praise is comely.	1 Alléluia! Louez le Seigneur car il est bon. Chantez pour notre Dieu, car c’est chose douce, et c’est bien juste de le louer,
2 The LORD doth build up Jerusalem: he gathereth together the outcasts of Israel.	2 quand il bâtit Jérusalem et qu’il rassemble les exilés d’Israël;
3 He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.	3 quand il guérit les cœurs brisés et qu’il panse les blessures.
4 He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names.	4 Il a compté le nombre des étoiles, à chacune il a donné son nom.
5 Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite.	5 Notre Seigneur est grand, il est puissant, et son intelligence passe toute mesure.
6 The LORD lifteth up the meek: he casteth the wicked down to the ground.	6 Le Seigneur rend courage aux humbles, mais il abaisse jusqu’à terre les méchants.
7 Sing unto the LORD with thanksgiving; sing praise upon the harp unto our God:	7 Chantez pour le Seigneur et rendez-lui grâce, jouez de vos harpes pour notre Dieu!
8 Who covereth the heaven with clouds, who prepareth rain for the earth, who maketh grass to grow upon the mountains.	8 C’est lui qui couvre de nuages le ciel, lorsqu’il prépare à la terre ses pluies; c’est lui qui fait pousser l’herbe sur les collines et toutes les verdures à l’usage des hommes.
9 He giveth to the beast his food, and to the young ravens which cry.	9 C’est lui qui donne la pâture aux bêtes, même aux petits corbeaux, quand ils crient vers lui.
10 He delighteth not in the strength of the horse: he taketh not pleasure in the legs of a man.	10 La force du cheval n’a pas d’attrait pour lui, ce n’est pas par ses muscles qu’un homme lui plaît.
11 The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy.	11 Le Seigneur se complaît en ceux qui le craignent, en ceux qui vivent, espérant sa grâce.
12 Praise the LORD, O Jerusalem; praise thy God, O Zion.	12 Jérusalem, glorifie le Seigneur! Donne louange à son nom, ô Sion!
13 For he hath strengthened the bars of thy gates; he hath blessed thy children within thee.	13 Car il donne sa force aux barres de tes portes, il a béni en toi tes fils.
14 He maketh peace in thy borders, and filleth thee with the finest of the wheat.	14 Il garde en paix tes frontières, et te donne en abondance le pain et la farine.
15 He sendeth forth his commandment upon earth: his word runneth very swiftly.	15 S’il envoie ses ordres à la terre, sans perdre un instant, sa parole s’élance.
16 He giveth snow like wool: he scattereth the hoarfrost like ashes.	16 Alors vient la neige, comme flocons de laine, et le givre, comme une pluie de cendres.
17 He casteth forth his ice like morsels: who can stand before his cold?	17 S’il jette sa glace par morceaux, qui pourra soutenir les coups de sa froidure?
18 He sendeth out his word, and melteth them: he causeth his wind to blow, and the waters flow.	18 Mais il envoie sa parole, il les fait fondre, il fait passer son souffle, et les eaux coulent.
19 He sheweth his word unto Jacob, his statutes and his judgments unto Israel.	19 C’est lui qui fait connaître à Jacob sa parole, à Israël, ses lois et décisions.
20 He hath not dealt so with any nation: and as for his judgments, they have not known them. Praise ye the LORD.	20 Cela, il ne l’a fait pour aucun autre peuple, eux n’ont pas su, de lui, ses décisions. Louez le Seigneur!
