KING JAMES BIBLENEW AMERICAN BIBLE
O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.1 A song; a psalm of David
Awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early.2 My heart is steadfast, God; my heart is steadfast. I will sing and chant praise.
I will praise thee, O LORD, among the people: and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations.3 Awake, my soul; awake, lyre and harp! I will wake the dawn.
For thy mercy is great above the heavens: and thy truth reacheth unto the clouds.4 I will praise you among the peoples, LORD; I will chant your praise among the nations.
Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: and thy glory above all the earth;5 For your love towers to the heavens; your faithfulness, to the skies.
That thy beloved may be delivered: save with thy right hand, and answer me.6 Appear on high over the heavens, God; may your glory appear above all the earth.
God hath spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth.7 Help with your right hand and answer us that your loved ones may escape.
Gilead is mine; Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is the strength of mine head; Judah is my lawgiver;8 God promised in the sanctuary: "I will exult, I will apportion Shechem; the valley of Succoth I will measure out.
Moab is my washpot; over Edom will I cast out my shoe; over Philistia will I triumph.9 Gilead is mine, mine is Manasseh; Ephraim is the helmet for my head, Judah, my own scepter.
Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me into Edom?10 Moab is my washbowl; upon Edom I cast my sandal; I will triumph over Philistia."
Wilt not thou, O God, who hast cast us off? and wilt not thou, O God, go forth with our hosts?11 Who will bring me to the fortified city? Who will lead me into Edom?
Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.12 Was it not you who rejected us, God? Do you no longer march with our armies?
Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.13 Give us aid against the foe; worthless is human help.
We will triumph with the help of God, who will trample down our foes.
