Psalms 108

1 O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.	1 Cantico di Salmo di Davide IL mio cuore è disposto, o Dio, Ed anche la mia gloria; io canterò, e salmeggerò.
2 Awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early.	2 Saltero, e cetera, destati; Io mi risveglierò all’alba.
3 I will praise thee, O LORD, among the people: and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations.	3 Io ti celebrerò fra i popoli, o Signore, E ti salmeggerò fra le nazioni.
4 For thy mercy is great above the heavens: and thy truth reacheth unto the clouds.	4 Perciocchè la tua benignità è grande, disopra il cielo; E la tua verità aggiunge infino alle nuvole.
5 Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: and thy glory above all the earth;	5 Innalzati, o Dio, sopra i cieli; Ed innalzisi la tua gloria sopra tutta le terra;
6 That thy beloved may be delivered: save with thy right hand, and answer me.	6 Acciocchè i tuoi diletti sieno liberati; Salvami colla tua destra, e rispondimi.
7 God hath spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth.	7 Iddio ha parlato per la sua santità; io trionferò, Io spartirò Sichem, e misurerò la valle di Succot.
8 Gilead is mine; Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is the strength of mine head; Judah is my lawgiver;	8 Mio è Galaad, mio è Manasse; Ed Efraim è la forza del mio capo; Giuda è il mio legislatore;
9 Moab is my washpot; over Edom will I cast out my shoe; over Philistia will I triumph.	9 Moab è la caldaia del mio lavatoio; Io getterò le mie scarpe sopra Edom; Io trionferò della Palestina con voci di allegrezza.
10 Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me into Edom?	10 Chi mi condurrà nella città della fortezza? Chi mi menerà fino in Edom?
11 Wilt not thou, O God, who hast cast us off? and wilt not thou, O God, go forth with our hosts?	11 Non sarai desso tu, o Dio, che ci avevi scacciati, E non uscivi più fuori, o Dio, co’ nostri eserciti?
12 Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.	12 Dacci aiuto, per uscir di distretta; Perciocchè il soccorso degli uomini è vanità.
13 Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.	13 Coll’aiuto di Dio noi faremo prodezze; Ed egli calpesterà i nostri nemici
