1 ܘܫܒܚܬ ܕܒܘܪܐ ܘܒܪܩ ܒܪ ܐܒܝܢܥܡ ܒܝܘܡܐ ܗܘ ܠܡܐܡܪ1 On that day Deborah (and Barak, son of Abinoam,) sang this song:
2 ܒܦܘܪܥܢܘܬܐ ܕܐܬܦܪܥ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܒܬܫܒܘܚܬܐ ܕܥܡܐ ܫܒܚܘ ܠܡܪܝܐ2 Of chiefs who took the lead in Israel, of noble deeds by the people who bless the LORD,
3 ܫܡܥܘ ܡ̈ܠܟܐ ܘܨܘܬܘ ܫ̈ܠܝܛܢܐ ܐܢܐ ܠܡܪܝܐ ܐܫܒܚ ܘܐܙܡܪ ܠܗ ܠܡܪܝܐ ܐܠܗܐ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ3 Hear, O kings! Give ear, O princes!
4 ܡܪܝܐ ܒܡܦܩܟ ܕܡܢ ܣܥܝܪ ܟܕ ܗܠܟܬ ܒܝܢܬ ܚܩ̈ܠܬܐ ܕܐܕܘܡ ܐܪܥܐ ܙܥܬ ܐܦ ܫܡܝܐ ܢܛܦܘ ܘܥܢ̈ܢܐ ܪܣ ܡ̈ܝܐ4 O LORD, when you went out from Seir,
5 ܘܛܘܪ̈ܐ ܕܠܘ ܩܕܡ ܡܪܝܐ ܘܗܢܐ ܣܝܢܝ ܡܢ ܩܕܡ ܡܪܝܐ ܩܕܝܫܐ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ5 Mountains trembled
6 ܒܝ̈ܘܡܘܗܝ ܕܫܡܓܪ ܒܪ ܥܢܬ ܘܒܝ̈ܘܡܝ ܥܢܐܝܠ ܦܣܩܘ ܐܘܪ̈ܚܬܐ ܘܕܡܗܠܟܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܒܫܒܝ̈ܠܐ ܬܪ̈ܝܨܐ ܗܠܟܘ ܒܐܘܪ̈ܚܬܐ ܡܥܩܡ̈ܬܐ6 In the days of Shamgar, son of Anath,
7 ܦܣܩܘ ܫܛܚ̈ܐ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܦܣܩܘ ܥܕܡܐ ܕܩܡܬ ܐܢܐ ܕܒܘܪܐ ܩܡܬ ܐܡܐ ܒܐܝܣܪܝܠ7 Gone was freedom beyond the walls,
8 ܢܓܒܐ ܐܠܗܐ ܚܕܬܐ ܘܗܝܕܝܢ ܠܚܡܐ ܕܣܥܪ̈ܐ ܘܣܝܦܐ ܘܪܘܡܚܐ ܠܐ ܢܬܚܙܐ ܒܝܢܬ ܐܪ̈ܒܥܝܢ ܐ̈ܠܦܐ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ8 New gods were their choice; then the war was at their gates. Not a shield could be seen, nor a lance, among forty thousand in Israel!
9 ܠܒܝ ܐܡܪ ܠܡܒܕܩܢܐ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܦܪܝܫܝܢ ܒܥܡܐ ܒܪܟܘ ܠܡܪܝܐ9 My heart is with the leaders of Israel,
10 ܘܪ̈ܟܒܝ ܐܬ̈ܢܐ ܚܘܪ̈ܬܐ ܘܝܬ̈ܒܝ ܒ̈ܒܬܐ ܘܡܗ̈ܠܟܝ ܒܐܘܪ̈ܚܬܐ10 They who ride on white asses,
11 ܪܢܘ ܡܢ ܡ̈ܠܐ ܕܒܨ̈ܘܝܐ ܕܒܝܢܬ ܡ̈ܠܦܢܐ ܬܡܢ ܢܬܠܘܢ ܙܕܝܩܘܬܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܙܕܝܩܘܬܗ ܕܐܣܓܝ ܒܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܗܝܕܝܢ ܢܚܬ ܠܬܪܥܐ ܥܡܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ11 Sing of them to the strains of the harpers at the wells,
12 ܐܬܬܥܝܪܝ ܐܬܬܥܝܪܝ ܕܒܘܪܐ ܐܬܬܥܝܪܝ ܘܐܬܝܕܝ ܘܡܠܠܝ ܬܫܒܘܚܬܐ ܩܘܡ ܒܪܩ ܘܫܒܝ ܫܒܝ̈ܟ ܒܪܗ ܕܐܒܝܢܥܡ12 Awake, awake, Deborah!
13 ܘܗܝܕܝܢ ܢܚܬ ܡܦܨܝܢܐ ܠܡܫܒܚܘ ܩܕܡ ܡܪܝܐ ܕܢܚܬ ܠܝ ܒܓܒܪܐ13 Then down came the fugitives with the mighty,
14 ܡܢ ܐܦܪܝܡ ܘܥܒ̈ܕܘܗܝ ܒܥܡܠܝܩ ܒܬܪܟ ܒܢܝܡܝܢ ܒܚܘܒܟ ܡܢ ܡܟܝܪ ܢܦܩ ܡܒܕܩܢܐ ܘܡܢ ܙܒܘܠܘܢ ܕܟܬܒܝܢ ܒܩܢܝܐ ܕܣܦܪܐ14 From Ephraim, princes were in the valley;
15 ܪ̈ܘܪܒܢܐ ܕܐܝܣܟܪ ܥܡ ܕܒܘܪܐ ܘܐܝܣܟܪ ܐܝܟ ܒܪܩ ܒܥܡ̈ܡܐ ܐܫܬܕܪ ܒܪ̈ܓܠܘܗܝ ܠܦܠܓܘܬܐ ܕܪܘܒܝܠ ܪ̈ܘܪܒܝܢ ܒܕܩ̈ܝ ܠܒܐ15 With Deborah were the princes of Issachar;
16 ܠܡܢܐ ܝܬܒ ܐܢܬ ܒܝܢܬ ܫܒ̈ܝܠܐ ܠܡܫܡܥ ܣܘܩܐ ܕܥܪ̈ܕܐ ܠܦܠܓܘܬܐ ܕܪܘܒܝܠ ܪ̈ܘܪܒܝܢ ܒܕܩ̈ܝ ܠܒܐ16 Why do you stay beside your hearths
17 ܓܕ ܒܥܒܪܐ ܕܝܘܪܕܢܢ ܫܪܐ ܘܕܢ ܠܡܐܢܐ ܓܐܪ ܣܦܝ̈ܢܐ ܐܫܝܪ ܝܬܒ ܥܠ ܣܦܪܐ ܕܝܡܐ ܘܥܠ ܬܘܪܥܬܗ ܢܫܪܐ17 Gilead, beyond the Jordan, rests;
18 ܙܒܘܠܘܢ ܥܡܐ ܕܚܣܕ ܢܦܫܗ ܠܡܘܬܐ ܢܦܬܠܝ ܥܠ ܪܘܡܐ ܕܚܩܠܗ18 Zebulun is the people defying death;
19 ܐܬܘ ܡ̈ܠܟܐ ܘܐܬܟܬܫܘ ܘܗܝܕܝܢ ܐܬܟܢܫܘ ܡ̈ܠܟܐ ܕܟܢܥܢ ܒܬܥܢܟ ܐܬܟܢܫܘ ܥܠ ܡ̈ܝܐ ܕܡܓܕܘ ܩܢܝܢܐ ܘܟܣܦܐ ܠܐ ܢܣܒܘ19 The kings came and fought;
20 ܥܒܕܘ ܩܪܒܐ ܟܘܟܒ̈ܐ ܡܢ ܕܘܟܝ̈ܬܗܘܢ ܩܪܒܐ ܡܢ ܫܡܝܐ ܥܡ ܣܝܣܪܐ20 From the heavens the stars, too, fought;
21 ܒܢܚܠܐ ܕܩܝܫܘܢ ܓܪܦ ܐܢܘܢ ܢܚܠܐ ܕܩܝܫܘܢ ܘܢܚܠܐ ܕܩܪܡܝܢ ܬܕܪܟ ܢܦܫܝ ܚܝܠܐ21 The Wadi Kishon swept them away;
22 ܗܝܕܝܢ ܢܦܠ ܥܩ̈ܒܐ ܕܪܟܫܗ ܡܢ ܢܗܡܬܐ ܕܚܝܠܐ ܕܬܩܝ̈ܦܘܗܝ22 Then the hoofs of the horses pounded,
23 ܠܘܛܘ ܠܡܪܘܕ ܐܡܪ ܡܠܐܟܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܠܘܛܘܗ ܘܠܘܛܘ ܠܝܬ̈ܒܝܗ ܡܛܠ ܕܠܐ ܐܬܘ ܠܥܘܕܪܢܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܒܓܒܪ̈ܐ23 "Curse Meroz," says the LORD,
24 ܬܬܒܪܟ ܡܢ ܢܫ̈ܐ ܥܢܐܝܠ ܐܢܬܬܗ ܕܚܘܒܪ ܩܝܢܝܐ ܡܢ ܢܫ̈ܐ ܕܒܡܫܟܢܐ ܬܬܒܪܟ24 Blessed among women be Jael,
25 ܡ̈ܝܐ ܫܐܠ ܘܚܠܒܐ ܝܗܒܬ ܒܟܣܐ ܕܓܢܒܪ̈ܐ ܩܪܒܬ ܚܐܘܬܐ25 He asked for water, she gave him milk;

27 ܘܒܝܢܬ ܪ̈ܓܠܝܗ ܒܪܟ ܘܢܦܠ ܘܫܟܒ ܒܕܘܟܬܐ ܕܒܪܟ ܬܡܢ ܢܦܠ ܒܙܘܙܐ27 At her feet he sank down, fell, lay still;
28 ܘܡܢ ܟܘܬܐ ܐܕܝܩܬ ܘܝܒܒܬ ܐܡܗ ܕܣܝܣܪܐ ܡܢ ܟܣܣܛܪܘܢ ܘܐܡܪܬ ܡܢܐ ܗܘ ܐܫܬܘܚܪ ܡܪ̈ܟܒܬܗ ܕܒܪܝ ܠܡܐܬܐ ܘܡܢܐ ܗܘ ܐܘܚܪ ܙܢܓܐ ܕܡܪ̈ܟܒܬܗ28 From the window peered down and wailed
29 ܚܟܝܡܬ ܥ̈ܠܝܡܬܗ̇ ܐܦ ܗܝ ܥܢܬ ܘܐܡܪܐ ܠܗ̇29 The wisest of her princesses answers her,
30 ܟܒܪ ܐܙܠ ܘܐܫܟܚ ܒܙܬܐ ܣܓܝܐܬܐ ܘܦܠܓ ܟܘܕܢܝܐ ܟܘܕܢܝܐ ܠܪܝܫ ܓܒܪܐ ܘܒܙܬܐ ܣܓܝܐܬܐ ܘܨ̈ܘܒܥܢܐ ܘܨܘܪ̈ܬܐ ܠܣܝܣܪܐ ܘܨܘ̈ܒܥܢܐ ܘܨܘܪ̈ܬܐ ܥܠ ܨܘܪܐ ܕܒܙܘ̈ܙܐ30 "They must be dividing the spoil they took:
31 ܗܟܢܐ ܢܐܒܕܘܢ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܒ̈ܥܠܕܒܒܝܟ ܡܪܝܐ ܘܪ̈ܚܡܝܟ ܐܝܟ ܡܦܩ ܫܡܫܐ ܒܓܢܒܪܘܬܗ ܘܫܠܝܬ ܐܪܥܐ ܐܪ̈ܒܥܝܢ ܫܢ̈ܝܢ31 May all your enemies perish thus, O LORD!
