SAGRADA BIBLIA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Aleluia. Louvai ao Senhor, porque ele é bom; porque eterna é a sua misericórdia.	1 Al eluia! Give thanks to Yahweh for he is good, for his faithful love endures for ever.
2 Diga a casa de Israel: Eterna é sua misericórdia.	2 Let the House of Israel say, 'His faithful love endures for ever.'
3 Proclame a casa de Aarão: Eterna é sua misericórdia.	3 Let the House of Aaron say, 'His faithful love endures for ever.'
4 E vós, que temeis o Senhor, repeti: Eterna é sua misericórdia.	4 Let those who fear Yahweh say, 'His faithful love endures for ever.'
5 Na tribulação invoquei o Senhor; ouviu-me o Senhor e me livrou.	5 In my distress I called to Yahweh, he heard me and brought me relief.
6 Comigo está o Senhor, nada temo; que mal me poderia ainda fazer um homem?	6 With Yahweh on my side I fear nothing; what can human beings do to me?
7 Comigo está o Senhor, meu amparo; verei logo a ruína dos meus inimigos.	7 With Yahweh on my side as my help, I gloat over my enemies.
8 Mais vale procurar refúgio no Senhor do que confiar no homem.	8 It is better to take refuge in Yahweh than to rely on human beings;
9 Mais vale procurar refúgio no Senhor do que confiar nos grandes da terra.	9 better to take refuge in Yahweh than to rely on princes.
10 Ainda que me cercassem todas as nações pagãs, eu as esmagaria em nome do Senhor.	10 Nations were swarming around me, in the name of Yahweh I cut them down;
11 Ainda que me assediassem de todos os lados, eu as esmagaria em nome do Senhor.	11 they swarmed around me, pressing upon me, in the name of Yahweh I cut them down.
12 Ainda que me envolvessem como um enxame de abelhas, como um braseiro de espinhos, eu as esmagaria em nome do Senhor.	12 They swarmed around me like bees, they flared up like a brushwood fire, in the name of Yahweh Icut them down.
13 Forçaram-me violentamente para eu cair, mas o Senhor veio em meu auxílio.	13 I was pushed hard, to make me fal , but Yahweh came to my help.
14 O Senhor é minha força, minha coragem; ele é meu Salvador.	14 Yahweh is my strength and my song, he has been my Saviour.
15 Brados de alegria e de vitória ressoam nas tendas dos justos:	15 Shouts of joy and salvation, in the tents of the upright, 'Yahweh's right hand is triumphant,
16 a destra do Senhor fez prodígios, levantou-me a destra do Senhor; fez maravilhas a destra do Senhor.	16 Yahweh's right hand is victorious, Yahweh's right hand is triumphant!'
17 Não hei de morrer; viverei para narrar as obras do Senhor.	17 I shal not die, I shal live to recount the great deeds of Yahweh.
18 O Senhor castigou-me duramente, mas poupou-me à morte.	18 Though Yahweh punished me sternly, he has not abandoned me to death.
19 Abri-me as portas santas, a fim de que eu entre para agradecer ao Senhor.	19 Open for me the gates of saving justice, I shal go in and thank Yahweh.
20 Esta é a porta do Senhor: só os justos por ela podem passar.	20 This is the gate of Yahweh, where the upright go in.
21 Graças vos dou porque me ouvistes, e vos fizestes meu Salvador.	21 I thank you for hearing me, and making yourself my Saviour.
22 A pedra rejeitada pelos arquitetos tornou-se a pedra angular.	22 The stone which the builders rejected has become the cornerstone;
23 Isto foi obra do Senhor, é um prodígio aos nossos olhos.	23 This is Yahweh's doing, and we marvel at it.
24 Este é o dia que o Senhor fez: seja para nós dia de alegria e de felicidade.	24 This is the day which Yahweh has made, a day for us to rejoice and be glad.
25 Senhor, dai-nos a salvação; dai-nos a prosperidade, ó Senhor!	25 We beg you, Yahweh, save us, we beg you, Yahweh, give us victory!
26 Bendito seja o que vem em nome do Senhor! Da casa do Senhor nós vos bendizemos.	26 Blessed in the name of Yahweh is he who is coming! We bless you from the house of Yahweh.
27 O Senhor é nosso Deus, ele fez brilhar sobre nós a sua luz. Organizai uma festa com profusão de coroas. E cheguem até os ângulos do altar.	27 Yahweh is God, he gives us light. Link your processions, branches in hand, up to the horns of thealtar.
28 Sois o meu Deus, venho agradecer-vos. Venho glorificar-vos, sois o meu Deus.	28 You are my God, I thank you, al praise to you, my God. I thank you for hearing me, and makingyourself my Saviour.
29 Dai graças ao Senhor porque ele é bom, eterna é sua misericórdia.	29 Give thanks to Yahweh for he is good, for his faithful love endures for ever.
