1 Salmo per Asaph. Il Dio degli dei, il Signore ha parlato, e ha chiamata la terra, dall'oriente fino all'occaso:	1 To the choirmaster. A Psalm of the Sons of Korah. Hear this, all peoples! Give ear, all inhabitants of the world,
2 Da Sionne (apparirà) lo splendore di sua magnificenza.	2 both low and high, rich and poor together!
3 Manifesto verra Iddio, il nostro Dio, e non istarà in silenzio. Innanzi a lui un fuoco ardente, e con questo fuoco un turbine violento.	3 My mouth shall speak wisdom; the meditation of my heart shall be understanding.
4 Chiamerà di lassù il cielo, e la terra a giudicare il suo popolo.	4 I will incline my ear to a proverb; I will solve my riddle to the music of the lyre.
5 Congregate a lui tutti i suoi santi, i quali fermaron con lui alleanza per mezzo de' sagrifizj.	5 Why should I fear in times of trouble, when the iniquity of my persecutors surrounds me,
6 E i cieli annunzieranno la giustizia di lui, perché il giudice è Dio.	6 men who trust in their wealth and boast of the abundance of their riches?
7 Ascolta, popol mio, e io parlerò; Israele (ascolta), e io spiegherommi con te: Dio io sono, e tuo Dio:	7 Truly no man can ransom himself, or give to God the price of his life,
8 Non ti riprenderò per ragion de' tuoi sagrifizj, e i tuoi olocausti sono sempre dinanzi a me.	8 for the ransom of his life is costly, and can never suffice,
9 Non riceverò dalla tua casa i vitelli, né da' tuoi greggi i capretti.	9 that he should continue to live on for ever, and never see the Pit.
10 Imperocché sono mie tutte le fiere de' boschi, i giumenti ne' monti, ed i travi.	10 Yea, he shall see that even the wise die, the fool and the stupid alike must perish and leave their wealth to others.
11 Io conosco tutti gli uccelli dell'aria, ed è mia l'amenità delle campagne.	11 Their graves are their homes for ever, their dwelling places to all generations, though they named lands their own.
12 Se io avessi fame a te noi direi; imperocché mia è la terra, e quello, che la riempie.	12 Man cannot abide in his pomp, he is like the beasts that perish.
13 Mangerò io forse le carni de' tori? O beveró io il sangue de' montoni?	13 This is the fate of those who have foolish confidence, the end of those who are pleased with their portion. [Selah]
14 Offerisci a Dio sagrifizio di lode, e le promesse adempi fatte da te all'Altissimo.	14 Like sheep they are appointed for Sheol; Death shall be their shepherd; straight to the grave they descend, and their form shall waste away; Sheol shall be their home.
15 E invocami nel giorno della tribolazione: ti libererò, e tu darai a me gloria.	15 But God will ransom my soul from the power of Sheol, for he will receive me. [Selah]
16 Ma al peccatore disse Dio: Perché fai tu parola de' miei comandamenti, e hai nella bocca la mia alleanza?	16 Be not afraid when one becomes rich, when the glory of his house increases.
17 Tu pero hai in odio la disciplina, o ti se' gettate dietro le spalle le mie parole.	17 For when he dies he will carry nothing away; his glory will not go down after him.
18 Se vedevi un ladro, correvi con lui, e facevi combriccola cogli adulteri.	18 Though, while he lives, he counts himself happy, and though a man gets praise when he does well for himself,
19 La tua bocca è stata piena di malvagità, e la tua lingua ordiva inganni.	19 he will go to the generation of his fathers, who will never more see the light.
20 Stando a sedere parlavi contro del tuo fratello, e al figliuolo di tua madre ponevi inciampo: queste cose hai fatte, ed io ho taciuto.	20 Man cannot abide in his pomp, he is like the beasts that perish.
21 Hai creduto, o iniquo, ch'io sia: per esser simile a te: ti riprenderò, e te porrò di contro alla tua faccia.
22 Ponete mente a queste cose voi, che vi scordate di Dio: affinchè non vi rapisca una volta, senza che sia chi vi liberi.
23 Il sagrifizio di lode mi onorerà; ed esso è la via per cui farò vedere all'uomo la salute di Dio.
