Zaccaria 7

BIBBIA CEI 1974	NEW JERUSALEM
1 L'anno quarto di Dario, il quarto giorno del nono mese, detto Casleu, la parola del Signore fu rivolta a Zaccaria.	1 In the fourth year of King Darius, the word of Yahweh was addressed to Zechariah on the fourth day ofthe ninth month, the month of Chislev.
2 Betel aveva inviato Sarèzer alto ufficiale del re con i suoi uomini a supplicare il Signore	2 Bethel sent Sharezer with a deputation to entreat Yahweh's favour
3 e a domandare ai sacerdoti addetti al tempio del Signore degli eserciti e ai profeti: "Devo io continuare a far lutto e astinenza nel quinto mese, come ho fatto in questi anni passati?".	3 and to ask the priests in the Temple of Yahweh Sabaoth and the prophets, 'Ought I to go on mourningand fasting in the fifth month as I have been doing for so many years past?'
4 Allora mi fu rivolta questa parola del Signore:	4 Then the word of Yahweh Sabaoth was addressed to me as fol ows,
5 "Parla a tutto il popolo del paese e a tutti i sacerdoti e di' loro: Quando avete fatto digiuni e lamenti nel quinto e nel settimo mese per questi settant'anni, lo facevate forse per me?	5 'Say to al the people of the country and to the priests, "While you have been fasting and mourning inthe fifth and seventh months for the past seventy years, have you real y been fasting for my sake?
6 Quando avete mangiato e bevuto non lo facevate forse per voi?	6 And when you were eating and drinking, were you not eating and drinking for your own sake?
7 Non è questa forse la parola che vi proclamava il Signore per mezzo dei profeti del passato, quando Gerusalemme era ancora abitata e in pace ed erano abitate le città vicine e il Negheb e la pianura?".	7 Do you not know the words which Yahweh proclaimed through the prophets in the past, whenJerusalem was inhabited and secure, as were her surrounding towns, and when the Negeb and the lowlandswere inhabited?" ' (
8 Questa parola del Signore fu rivolta a Zaccaria:	8 The word of Yahweh was addressed to Zechariah as fol ows,
9 "Ecco ciò che dice il Signore degli eserciti: Praticate la giustizia e la fedeltà; esercitate la pietà e la misericordia ciascuno verso il suo prossimo.	9 'Yahweh Sabaoth says this.) He said, "Apply the law fairly, and show faithful love and compassion towards one another.
10 Non frodate la vedova, l'orfano, il pellegrino, il misero e nessuno nel cuore trami il male contro il proprio fratello".	10 Do not oppress the widow and the orphan, the foreigner and the poor, and do not secretly plan evilagainst one another."
11 Ma essi hanno rifiutato di ascoltarmi, mi hanno voltato le spalle, hanno indurito gli orecchi per non sentire.	11 But they would not listen; they turned a rebel ious shoulder; they stopped their ears rather than hear;
12 Indurirono il cuore come un diamante per non udire la legge e le parole che il Signore degli eserciti rivolgeva loro mediante il suo spirito, per mezzo dei profeti del passato. Così si accese un grande sdegno da parte del Signore degli eserciti.	12 they made their hearts adamant rather than listen to the teaching and the words that Yahweh Sabaothhad sent -- by his spirit -- through the prophets in the past; and consequently the fury of Yahweh Sabaothovertook them.
13 Come al suo chiamare essi non vollero dare ascolto, così quand'essi grideranno, io non li ascolterò, dice il Signore degli eserciti.	13 And so, since when he cal ed they would not listen, "I would not listen when they called", says YahwehSabaoth,
14 "Io li ho dispersi fra tutte quelle nazioni che essi non conoscevano e il paese si è desolato dietro di loro, senza che alcuno lo percorresse; la terra di delizie è stata ridotta a desolazione".	14 "but scattered them among al the nations unknown to them. Hence, after they had gone, the countrywas deserted, and no one came or went. They had turned a land of delights into a desert." '
