Livre d'Isaïe 3

JERUSALEM	CATHOLIC PUBLIC DOMAIN
1 Oui, voici que le Seigneur Yahvé Sabaot va ôter de Jérusalem et de Juda ressource et provision -- touteréserve de pain et toute réserve d'eau --,	1 For behold, the sovereign Lord of hosts will take away, from Jerusalem and from Judah, the powerful and the strong: all the strength from bread, and all the strength from water;
2 héros et homme de guerre, juge et prophète, devin et vieillard,	2 the strong man, and the man of war, the judge and the prophet, and the seer and the elder;
3 capitaine et dignitaire, conseiller, architecte et enchanteur.	3 the leader over fifty and the honorable in appearance; and the counselor, and the wise among builders, and the skillful in mystical speech.
4 Je leur donnerai comme princes des adolescents, et des gamins feront la loi chez eux.	4 And I will provide children as their leaders, and the effeminate will rule over them.
5 Les gens se molesteront l'un l'autre, et entre voisins; le jeune garçon s'en prendra au vieillard, l'hommede peu au notable.	5 And the people will rush, man against man, and each one against his neighbor. The child shall rebel against the elder, and the ignoble against the noble.
6 Oui, un homme saisira son frère dans la maison paternelle: "Tu as un manteau, tu seras notre chef, etcette chose branlante, qu'elle te soit confiée!"	6 For a man will apprehend his brother, from the household of his own father, saying: “The vestment is yours. Be our leader, but let this ruin be under your hand.”
7 Et l'autre, en ce jour-là, s'écriera: "Je ne suis pas un guérisseur; chez moi, il n'y a ni pain ni manteau, neme faites pas chef du peuple!"	7 In that day, he will respond by saying: “I am not a healer, and there is no bread or vestment in my house. Do not choose to appoint me as a leader of the people.”
8 Car Jérusalem a trébuché et Juda est tombé, oui, leurs paroles et leurs actes s'adressent à Yahvé, pourinsulter ses regards glorieux.	8 For Jerusalem is ruined, and Judah has fallen, because their words and their plans are against the Lord, in order to provoke the eyes of his majesty.
9 Leur complaisance témoigne contre eux, ils étalent leur péché comme Sodome. Ils n'ont pas dissimulé,malheur à eux! car ils ont préparé leur propre ruine.	9 The acknowledgement of their countenance is their response. For they have proclaimed their own sin, like Sodom; and they have not concealed it. Woe to their souls! For evils are being repaid to them.
10 Dites: le juste, qu'il est heureux! car il se nourrira du fruit de ses actes.	10 Tell the just man that it is well, for he shall eat from the fruit from his own plans.
11 Malheur au méchant, malfaisant! car il sera traité selon ses oeuvres.	11 Woe to the impious man immersed in evil! For retribution will be given to him from his own hands.
12 O mon peuple, ses oppresseurs le mettent au pillage, et des exacteurs font la loi chez lui. O monpeuple, tes guides t'égarent, ils ont effacé les chemins que tu suis.	12 As for my people, their oppressors have despoiled them, and women have ruled over them. My people, who call you blessed, the same are deceiving you and disrupting the path of your steps.
13 Yahvé s'est levé pour accuser, il est debout pour juger les peuples.	13 The Lord stands for judgment, and he stands to judge the people.
14 Yahvé entre en jugement, avec les anciens et les princes de son peuple: "C'est vous qui avez dévastéla vigne, la dépouille du malheureux est dans vos maisons.	14 The Lord will enter into judgment with the elders of his people, and with their leaders. For you have been devouring the vineyard, and the plunder from the poor is in your house.
15 De quel droit écraser mon peuple et broyer le visage des malheureux?" Oracle du Seigneur YahvéSabaot.	15 Why do you wear down my people, and grind up the faces of the poor, says the Lord, the God of hosts?
16 Yahvé dit: Parce qu'elles font les fières, les filles de Sion, qu'elles vont le cou tendu et les yeuxprovocants, qu'elles vont à pas menus, en faisant sonner les anneaux de leurs pieds,	16 And the Lord said: Because the daughters of Zion have been lifted up, and have walked with extended necks and winking eyes, because they have continued on, walking noisily and advancing with a pretentious stride,
17 le Seigneur rendra galeux le crâne des filles de Sion, Yahvé dénudera leur front.	17 the Lord will make the heads of the daughters of Zion bald, and the Lord will strip them of the locks of their hair.
18 Ce jour-là le Seigneur ôtera l'ornement de chaînettes, les médaillons et les croissants,	18 In that day, the Lord will take away their decorative shoes,
19 les pendentifs, les bracelets, les breloques,	19 and the little moons and chains, and the necklaces and bracelets, and the hats,
20 les diadèmes et les chaînettes de chevilles, les parures, les boîtes à parfums et les amulettes,	20 and the ornaments for their hair, and the anklets, and the touches of myrrh and little bottles of perfumes, and the earrings,
21 les bagues et les anneaux de narines,	21 and the rings, and the jewels hanging on their foreheads,
22 les vêtements de fête et les manteaux, les écharpes et les bourses,	22 and the continual changes in appearance, and the short skirts, and the fine linens and embroidered cloths,
23 les miroirs, les linges fins, les turbans et les mantilles.	23 and the mirrors, and scarves, and ribbons, and their sparse clothing.
24 Alors, au lieu de baume, ce sera la pourriture, au lieu de ceinture, une corde, au lieu de coiffure, latête rase, au lieu d'une robe d'apparat, un pagne de grosse toile, et la marque au fer rouge au lieu de beauté.	24 And in place of a sweet fragrance, there will be stench. And in place of a belt, there will be a rope. And in place of stylish hair, there will be baldness. And in place of a blouse, there will be haircloth.
25 Tes hommes tomberont sous l'épée, et tes braves dans le combat.	25 Likewise, your most handsome men will fall by the sword, and your strong men will fall in battle.
26 Ses portes gémiront et seront dans le deuil; désertée, elle s'assiéra par terre.	26 And her gates will grieve and mourn. And she will sit on the ground, desolate.
