1 Todo tiene su momento, y cada cosa su tiempo bajo el cielo:	1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
2 Su tiempo el nacer, y su tiempo el morir; su tiempo el plantar, y su tiempo el arrancar lo plantado.	2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
3 Su tiempo el matar, y su tiempo el sanar; su tiempo el destruir, y su tiempo el edificar.	3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
4 Su tiempo el llorar, y su tiempo el reír; su tiempo el lamentarse, y su tiempo el danzar.	4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
5 Su tiempo el lanzar piedras, y su tiempo el recogerlas; su tiempo el abrazarse, y su tiempo el separarse.	5 A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
6 Su tiempo el buscar, y su tiempo el perder; su tiempo el guardar, y su tiempo el tirar.	6 A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
7 Su tiempo el rasgar, y su tiempo el coser; su tiempo el callar, y su tiempo el hablar.	7 A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
8 Su tiempo el amar, y su tiempo el odiar; su tiempo la guerra, y su tiempo la paz.	8 A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
9 ¿Qué gana el que trabaja con fatiga?	9 What profit hath he that worketh in that wherein he laboureth?
10 He considerado la tarea que Dios ha puesto a los humanos para que en ella se ocupen.	10 I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it.
11 El ha hecho todas las cosas apropiadas a su tiempo; también ha puesto el mundo en sus corazones, sin que el hombre llegue a descubrir la obra que Dios ha hecho de principio a fin.	11 He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.
12 Comprendo que no hay para el hombre más felicidad que alegrarse y buscar el bienestar en su vida.	12 I know that there is no good in them, but for a man to rejoice, and to do good in his life.
13 Y que todo hombre coma y beba y disfrute bien en medio de sus fatigas, eso es don de Dios.	13 And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God.
14 Comprendo que cuanto Dios hace es duradero. Nada hay que añadir ni nada que quitar. Y así hace Dios que se le tema.	14 I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him.
15 Lo que es, ya antes fue; lo que será, ya es. Y Dios restaura lo pasado.	15 That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past.
16 Todavía más he visto bajo el sol: en la sede del derecho, allí está la iniquidad; y en el sitial del justo, allí el impío.	16 And moreover I saw under the sun the place of judgment, that wickedness was there; and the place of righteousness, that iniquity was there.
17 Dije en mi corazón: Dios juzgará al justo y al impío, pues allí hay un tiempo para cada cosa y para toda obra.	17 I said in mine heart, God shall judge the righteous and the wicked: for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work.
18 Dije también en mi corazón acerca de la conducta de los humanos: sucede así para que Dios los pruebe y les demuestre que son como bestias.	18 I said in mine heart concerning the estate of the sons of men, that God might manifest them, and that they might see that they themselves are beasts.
19 Porque el hombre y la bestia tienen la misma suerte: muere el uno como la otra; y ambos tienen el mismo aliento de vida. En nada aventaja el hombre a la bestia, pues todo es vanidad.	19 For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast: for all is vanity.
20 Todos caminan hacia una misma meta; todos han salido del polvo y todos vuelven al polvo.	20 All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again.
21 ¿Quién sabe si el aliento de vida de los humanos asciende hacia arriba y si el aliento de vida de la bestia desciende hacia abajo, a la tierra?	21 Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth?
22 Veo que no hay para el hombre nada mejor que gozarse en sus obras, pues esa es su paga. Pero ¿quién le guiará a contemplar lo que ha de suceder después de él?	22 Wherefore I perceive that there is nothing better, than that a man should rejoice in his own works; for that is his portion: for who shall bring him to see what shall be after him?
