1 Esta es la descendencia de los hijos de Noé, Sem, Cam y Jafet, a quienes les nacieron hijos después del diluvio:	1 These are the generations of the sons of Noah: Shem, Ham, and Japheth, and of the sons who were born to them after the great flood.
2 Hijos de Jafet: Gomer, Magog, los medos, Yaván, Túbal, Mések y Tirás.	2 The sons of Japheth were Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.
3 Hijos de Gomer: Askanaz, Rifat, Togarmá.	3 And then the sons of Gomer were Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.
4 Hijos de Yaván: Elisá, Tarsis, los Kittim y los Dodanim.	4 And the sons of Javan were Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Rodanim.
5 A partir de éstos se poblaron las islas de las gentes. 9 Fue un bravo cazador delante de Yahveh, por lo cual se suele decir: «Bravo cazador delante de Yahveh, como Nemrod.»	9 And he was an able hunter before the Lord. From this, a proverb came forth: ‘Just like Nimrod, an able hunter before the Lord.’
10 Los comienzos de su reino fueron Babel, Erek y Acad, ciudades todas ellas en tierra de Senaar.	10 And so, the beginning of his kingdom was Babylon, and Erech, and Accad, and Chalanne, in the land of Shinar.
11 De aquella tierra procedía Asur, que edificó Nínive, Rejobot Ir, Kálaj	11 From that land, Assur came forth, and he built Nineveh, and the streets of the city, and Calah,
12 y Resen, entre Nínive y Kálaj (aquella es la Gran Ciudad).	12 and also Resen, between Nineveh and Calah. This is a great city.
13 Misráyim engendró a los luditas, anamitas, lehabitas y naftujitas,	13 And truly, Mizraim conceived Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, Naphtuhim,
14 a los de Patrós, de Kasluj y de Kaftor, de donde salieron los filisteos.	14 and Pathrusim, and Casluhim, from whom came forth the Philistines and the Caphtorim.
15 Canaán engendró a Sidón, su primogénito, y a Het,	15 Then Canaan conceived Sidon his firstborn, the Hittite,
16 al jebuseo, al amorreo, al guirgasita,	16 and the Jebusite, and the Amorite, the Girgashite,
17 al jivita, al arqueo, al sineo,	17 the Hivite, and the Arkite: the Sinite,
18 al arvadeo, al semareo y al jamateo. Más tarde se propagaron las estirpes cananeas.	18 and the Arvadian, the Samarite, and the Hamathite. And after this, the peoples of the Canaanites became widespread.
19 La frontera de los cananeos iba desde Sidón, en dirección de Guerar, hasta Gaza; y en dirección de Sodoma, Gomorra, Admá y Seboyim, hasta Lesa.	19 And the borders of Chanaan went, as one travels, from Sidon to Gerar, even to Gaza, until one enters Sodom and Gomorrah, and from Admah and Zeboiim, even to Lesa.
20 Estos fueron los hijos de Cam, según sus linajes y lenguas, por sus territorios y naciones respectivas.	20 These are the sons of Ham in their kindred, and tongues, and generations, and lands, and nations.
21 También le nacieron hijos a Sem, padre de todos los hijos de Héber y hermano mayor de Jafet.	21 Likewise, from Shem, the father of all the sons of Heber, the elder brother of Japheth, sons were born.
22 Hijos de Sem: Elam, Asur, Aparksad, Lud y Aram.	22 The sons of Shem were Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram.
23 Hijos de Aram: Us, Jul, Guéter y Mas.	23 The sons of Aram were Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Mash.
24 Arpaksad engendró a Sélaj y Sélaj engendró a Héber.	24 But truly, Arphaxad conceived Shelah, from whom was born Eber.
25 A Héber le nacieron dos hijos: el nombre de uno fue Péleg, porque en sus días fue divida la tierra. Su hermano se llamaba Yoqtán.	25 And to Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg, for in his days the earth became divided, and his brother’s name was Joktan.

27 a Hadoram, a Uzal, a Diclá,	27 and Hadoram, and Uzal and Diklah,
28 a Obal, a Abimael, a Sebá,	28 and Obal and Abimael, Sheba
29 a Ofir, a Javilá y a Yobab. Todos fueron hijos de Yoqtán.	29 and Ophir, and Havilah and Jobab. All these were the sons of Joktan.
30 Su asiento se extendió desde Mesá, en dirección a Sefar, al monte del oriente.	30 And their habitation extended from Messa, as one sojourns, even to Sephar, a mountain in the east.
31 Estos fueron los hijos de Sem, según sus linajes y lenguas, por sus territorios y naciones respectivas.	31 These are the sons of Shem according to their kindred, and tongues, and the regions within their nations.
32 Hasta aquí los linajes de los hijos de Noé, según su origen y sus naciones. Y a partir de ellos se dispersaron los pueblos por la tierra después del diluvio.	32 These are the families of Noah, according to their peoples and nations. The nations became divided according to these, on the earth after the great flood.
