1 Esta es la descendencia de los hijos de Noé, Sem, Cam y Jafet, a quienes les nacieron hijos después del diluvio:	1 These are the descendants of Noah's sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth, to whom sons were born after the flood.
2 Hijos de Jafet: Gomer, Magog, los medos, Yaván, Túbal, Mések y Tirás.	2 The descendants of Japheth: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras.
3 Hijos de Gomer: Askanaz, Rifat, Togarmá.	3 The descendants of Gomer: Ashkenaz, Riphath, and Togarmah.
4 Hijos de Yaván: Elisá, Tarsis, los Kittim y los Dodanim.	4 The descendants of Javan: Elishah, Tarshish, the Kittim, and the Rodanim.
5 A partir de éstos se poblaron las islas de las gentes. Estos fueron los hijos de Jafet por sus territorios y lenguas, por sus linajes y naciones respectivas.	5 These are the descendants of Japheth, and from them sprang the maritime nations, in their respective lands--each with its own language--by their clans within their nations.
6 Hijos de Cam: Kus, Misráyim, Put y Canaán.	6 The descendants of Ham: Cush, Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.
7 Hijos de Kus: Seba, Javilá, Sabtá, Ramá y Sabteká. Hijos de Ramá: Seba y Dedán.	7 The descendants of Cush: Seba, Havilah, Sabtah, Raamah, and Sabteca. The descendants of Raamah: Sheba and Dedan.
8 Kus engendró a Nemrod, que fue el primero que se hizo prepotente en la tierra.	8 Cush became the father of Nimrod, who was the first potentate on earth.
9 Fue un bravo cazador delante de Yahveh, por lo cual se suele decir: «Bravo cazador delante de Yahveh, como Nemrod.»	9 He was a mighty hunter by the grace of the LORD; hence the saying, "Like Nimrod, a mighty hunter by the grace of the LORD."
10 Los comienzos de su reino fueron Babel, Erek y Acad, ciudades todas ellas en tierra de Senaar.	10 The chief cities of his kingdom were Babylon, Erech, and Accad, all of them in the land of Shinar.
11 De aquella tierra procedía Asur, que edificó Nínive, Rejobot Ir, Kálaj	11 From that land he went forth to Asshur, where he built Nineveh, Rehoboth-Ir, and Calah,
12 y Resen, entre Nínive y Kálaj (aquella es la Gran Ciudad).	12 as well as Resen, between Nineveh and Calah, the latter being the principal city.
13 Misráyim engendró a los luditas, anamitas, lehabitas y naftujitas,	13 Mizraim became the father of the Ludim, the Anamim, the Lehabim, the Naphtuhim,
14 a los de Patrós, de Kasluj y de Kaftor, de donde salieron los filisteos.	14 the Pathrusim, the Casluhim, and the Caphtorim from whom the Philistines sprang.
15 Canaán engendró a Sidón, su primogénito, y a Het,	15 Canaan became the father of Sidon, his first-born, and of Heth;
16 al jebuseo, al amorreo, al guirgasita,	16 also of the Jebusites, the Amorites, the Girgashites,
17 al jivita, al arqueo, al sineo,	17 the Hivites, the Arkites, the Sinites,
18 al arvadeo, al semareo y al jamateo. Más tarde se propagaron las estirpes cananeas.	18 the Arvadites, the Zemarites, and the Hamathites. Afterward, the clans of the Canaanites spread out,
19 La frontera de los cananeos iba desde Sidón, en dirección de Guerar, hasta Gaza; y en dirección de Sodoma, Gomorra, Admá y Seboyim, hasta Lesa.	19 so that the Canaanite borders extended from Sidon all the way to Gerar, near Gaza, and all the way to Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboiim, near Lasha.
20 Estos fueron los hijos de Cam, según sus linajes y lenguas, por sus territorios y naciones respectivas.	20 These are the descendants of Ham, according to their clans and languages, by their lands and nations.
21 También le nacieron hijos a Sem, padre de todos los hijos de Héber y hermano mayor de Jafet.	21 To Shem also, Japheth's oldest brother and the ancestor of all the children of Eber, sons were born.
22 Hijos de Sem: Elam, Asur, Aparksad, Lud y Aram.	22 The descendants of Shem: Elam, Asshur, Arpachshad, Lud, and Aram.
23 Hijos de Aram: Us, Jul, Guéter y Mas.	23 The descendants of Aram: Uz, Hul, Gether, and Mash.
24 Arpaksad engendró a Sélaj y Sélaj engendró a Héber.	24 Arpachshad became the father of Shelah, and Shelah became the father of Eber.
25 A Héber le nacieron dos hijos: el nombre de uno fue Péleg, porque en sus días fue divida la tierra. Su hermano se llamaba Yoqtán.	25 To Eber two sons were born: the name of the first was Peleg, for in his time the world was divided; and the name of his brother was Joktan.
26 Yoqtán engendró a Almodad, a Selef, a Jasarmávet, a Yéraj,	26 Joktan became the father of Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah,
27 a Hadoram, a Uzal, a Diclá,	27 Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah,
28 a Obal, a Abimael, a Sebá,	28 Obal, Abimael, Sheba,
29 a Ofir, a Javilá y a Yobab. Todos fueron hijos de Yoqtán.	29 Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab. All these were descendants of Joktan.
30 Su asiento se extendió desde Mesá, en dirección a Sefar, al monte del oriente.	30 Their settlements extended all the way to Sephar, the eastern hill country.
31 Estos fueron los hijos de Sem, según sus linajes y lenguas, por sus territorios y naciones respectivas.	31 These are the descendants of Shem, according to their clans and languages by their lands and nations.
32 Hasta aquí los linajes de los hijos de Noé, según su origen y sus naciones. Y a partir de ellos se dispersaron los pueblos por la tierra después del diluvio.	32 These are the groupings of Noah's sons, according to their origins and by their nations. From these the other nations of the earth branched out after the flood.
