Amos 9

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBLIA
1 I saw the Lord standing by the altar, and he said, 'Strike the top of the pil ar so that the thresholdsshake! Smash their heads in, one and al ! And I shal put any survivors to the sword; whoever runs away wil notrun far, whoever escapes wil not make good his escape.	1 Vi al Señor en pie junto al altar y dijo: ¡Sacude el capitel y que se desplomen los umbrales! ¡Hazlos trizas en la cabeza de todos ellos, y lo que de ellos quede lo mataré yo a espada: no huirá de entre ellos un solo fugitivo ni un evadido esapará!
2 Should they burrow into Sheol, my hand wil haul them out; should they climb to heaven, I shal bringthem down.	2 Si fuerzan la entrada del seol, mi mano de allí los agarrará; ni suben hasta el cielo, yo los haré bajar de allí;
3 Should they hide on the top of Carmel, I shall track them down and catch them; should they hide fromme on the sea bed, I shall order the Serpent there to bite them;	3 si se enconden en la cumbre del Carmelo, allí los buscaré y los agarraré; si se ocultan a mis ojos en el fondo del mar, allí mismo ordenaré a la Serpiente que los muerda;
4 if their enemies herd them into captivity, I shal order the sword to kil them there, and I shall fix myeyes on them for evil and not for good.'	4 si van al cautiverio delante de sus enemigos, allí ordenaré a la espada que los mate; pondré en ellos mis ojos para mal y no para bien.
5 Lord Yahweh Sabaoth- he touches the earth and it melts, and al living things on it lament, as al risestogether like the Nile in Egypt and then subsides like the Egyptian Nile.	5 ¡El Señor Yahveh Sebaot...! el que toca la tierra y ella se derrite, y hacen duelo todos sus habitantes; sube toda entera como el Nilo, y baja como el Nilo de Egipto.
6 He who builds his mansions in the heavens, supporting his vault on the earth; who summons thewaters of the sea and pours them over the surface of the land: Yahweh is his name.	6 El que edifica en los cielos sus altas moradas, y asienta su bóveda en la tierra; el que llama a las aguas de la mar, y sobre la haz de la tierra las derrama, ¡Yahveh es su nombre!
7 Are not you and the Cushites all the same to me, children of Israel? - declares Yahweh. Did I not bringIsrael up from Egypt and the Philistines from Caphtor, and the Aramaeans from Kir?	7 ¿No sois vosotros para mí como hijos de kusitas, oh hijos de Israel? - oráculo de Yahveh - ¿No hice yo subir a Israel del país de Egipto, como a los filisteos de Kaftor y a los arameos de Quir?
8 Look, Lord Yahweh's eyes are on the sinful kingdom, I shal wipe it off the face of the earth, although Ishall not destroy the House of Jacob completely -declares Yahweh.	8 He aquí que los ojos del Señor Yahveh están sobre el reino pecador; voy a exterminarlo de la haz de la tierra, aunque no exterminaré del todo a la casa de Jacob - oráculo de Yahveh.
9 For look, I shall give the command and shal shake out the House of Israel among al nations as asieve is shaken out without one grain fal ing on the ground.	9 Pues he aquí que yo doy orden, y zarandearé a la casa de Israel entre todas las naciones, como se zarandea con la criba sin que ni un grano caiga en tierra.
10 All the sinners of my people wil perish by the sword, who say, 'Disaster wil never approach orovertake us.'	10 A espada morirán todos los pecadores de mi pueblo, esos que dicen: «¡No se acercará, no nos alcanzará la desgracia!»
11 On that Day, I shal rebuild the tottering hut of David, make good the gaps in it, restore its ruins andrebuild it as it was in the days of old,	11 Aquel día levantaré la cabaña de David ruinosa, repararé sus brechas y restauraré sus ruinas; la reconstruiré como en los días de antaño,
12 for them to be master of what is left of Edom and of al the nations once cal ed mine -Yahwehdeclares, and he wil perform it.	12 para que posean lo que queda de Edom y de todas las naciones sobre las que se ha invocado mi nombre, oráculo de Yahveh, el que hace esto.
13 The days are coming- declares Yahweh- when the ploughman wil tread on the heels of the reaper,and the treader of grapes on the heels of the sower of seed, and the mountains wil run with new wine and thehil s al flow with it.	13 He aquí que vienen días - oráculo de Yahveh - en que el arador empalmará con el segador y el pisador de la uva con el sembrador; destilarán vino los montes y todas las colinas se derretirán.
14 I shall restore the fortunes of my people Israel; they will rebuild the ruined cities and live in them, theywil plant vineyards and drink their wine, they wil lay out gardens and eat their produce.	14 Entonces haré volver a los deportados de mi pueblo Israel; reconstruirán las ciudades devastadas, y habitarán en ellas, plantarán viñas y beberán su vino, harán huertas y comerán sus frutos.
15 And I shal plant them in their own soil and they wil never be uprooted again from the country which Ihave given them, declares Yahweh, your God.	15 Yo los plantaré en su suelo y no serán arrancados nunca más del suelo que yo les di, dice Yahveh, tu Dios.
