Leviticus 23

1 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:	1 Locutus est Dominus ad Moysen dicens:
2 'Speak to the Israelites and say: (The solemn festivals of Yahweh to which you wil summon them aremy sacred assemblies.) "These are my solemn festivals:	2 “ Loquere filiis Israel et dices ad eos: Hae sunt feriae Domini, quas vocabitis conventus sanctos; hae sunt feriae meae.
3 "You wil work for six days, but the seventh wil be a day of complete rest, a day for the sacredassembly on which you do no work at al . Wherever you live, this is a Sabbath for Yahweh.	3 Sex diebus facietis opus; dies septimus sabbatum requiei est, conventus sanctus; omne opus non facietis; sabbatum est Domino in cunctis habitationibus vestris.
4 "These are Yahweh's solemn festivals, the sacred assemblies to which you wil summon the Israeliteson the appointed day:	4 Hae sunt ergo feriae Domini, conventus sancti, quas celebrare debetis temporibus suis.
5 "The fourteenth day of the first month, at twilight, is the Passover of Yahweh;	5 Mense primo, quarta decima die mensis, ad vesperum Pascha Domini est.
6 and the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of Unleavened Bread for Yahweh. For seven daysyou wil eat unleavened bread.	6 Et quinta decima die mensis huius sollemnitas Azymorum Domini est. Septem diebus azyma comedetis.
7 On the first day you wil hold a sacred assembly; you wil do no heavy work.	7 Die primo erit vobis conventus sanctus; omne opus servile non facietis in eo,
8 For seven days you wil offer food burnt for Yahweh. On the seventh day there will be a sacredassembly; you wil do no heavy work." '	8 sed offeretis incensum Domino septem diebus. Die autem septimo erit conventus sanctus, nullumque servile opus facietis in eo ”.
9 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:	9 Locutusque est Dominus ad Moysen dicens:
10 'Speak to the Israelites and say: "When you enter the country which I am giving you and reap theharvest there, you wil bring the priest the first sheaf of your harvest,	10 “ Loquere filiis Israel et dices ad eos: Cum ingressi fueritis terram, quam ego dabo vobis, et messueritis segetem, feretis manipulum spicarum primitias messis vestrae ad sacerdotem,
11 and he wil present it to Yahweh with the gesture of offering, for you to be acceptable. The priest willmake this offering on the day after the Sabbath,	11 qui elevabit fasciculum coram Domino, ut acceptabile sit pro vobis; altero die sabbati sanctificabit illum.
12 and on the same day as you make this offering, you wil offer Yahweh an unblemished lamb one yearold as a burnt offering.	12 Atque in eodem die, quo manipulum consecrabitis, facietis agnum immaculatum anniculum in holocaustum Domino,
13 The cereal offering for that day will be two-tenths of wheaten flour mixed with oil, as food burnt as asmel pleasing to Yahweh. The libation wil be a quarter of a hin of wine.	13 et oblationem cum eo duas decimas similae conspersae oleo in incensum Domino odoremque suavissimum et libamentum eius vini quartam partem hin.
14 You wil eat no bread, roasted ears of wheat or fresh produce before this day, before making theoffering to your God. This is a perpetual law for al your descendants, wherever you live.	14 Panem et grana tosta farrem recentem non comedetis ex segete usque ad diem, qua offeretis ex ea munus Deo vestro. Praeceptum est sempiternum generationibus vestris in cunctis habitaculis vestris.
15 "From the day after the Sabbath, the day on which you bring the sheaf of offering, you will countseven ful weeks.	15 Numerabitis vobis ab altero die sabbati, in quo obtulistis manipulum elationis, septem hebdomadas plenas
16 You wil count fifty days, to the day after the seventh Sabbath, and then you wil offer Yahweh a newcereal offering.	16 usque ad alteram diem expletionis hebdomadae septimae, id est quinquaginta dies; et sic offeretis oblationem novam Domino
17 You wil bring bread from your homes to present with the gesture of offering -- two loaves, made oftwo-tenths of wheaten flour baked with leaven; these are first-fruits for Yahweh.	17 ex habitaculis vestris panes elationis duos de duabus decimis similae fermentatae, quos coquetis in primitias Domino;
18 In addition to the bread, you wil offer seven unblemished lambs a year old, a young bul and tworams, as a burnt offering to Yahweh with a cereal offering and a libation, as food burnt as a smel pleasing to Yahweh.	18 offeretisque cum panibus septem agnos immaculatos anniculos et vitulum de armento unum et arietes duos, et erunt holocaustum Domino cum oblatione similae et libamentis suis in odorem suavissimum Domino.
19 You wil also offer a goat as a sacrifice for sin, and two lambs a year old as communion sacrifice.	19 Facietis et hircum in sacrificium pro peccato duosque agnos anniculos, hostias pacificorum.
20 The priest wil present them before Yahweh with the gesture of offering, in addition to the bread of thefirst-fruits. These, and the two lambs, are holy things for Yahweh, and wil revert to the priest.	20 Cumque elevaverit eos sacerdos cum panibus primitiarum coram Domino, cum duobus agnis sanctum erunt Domino in usum sacerdotis.
21 "On the same day, you will hold an assembly; for you this will be a sacred assembly; you wil do noheavy work. This is a perpetual law for your descendants, wherever you live.	21 Et vocabitis hoc ipso die conventum, conventus sanctus erit vobis; omne opus servile non facietis in eo. Legitimum sempiternum erit in cunctis habitaculis generationibus vestris.
22 "When you reap the harvest in your country, you wil not reap to the very edges of your field, nor wilyou gather the gleanings of the harvest. You wil leave them for the poor and the stranger. I am Yahweh yourGod." '	22 Cum autem metatis segetem terrae vestrae, non secabis eam usque ad oram agri nec remanentes spicas colliges, sed pauperibus et peregrinis dimittes eas. Ego Dominus Deus vester ”.
23 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:	23 Locutusque est Dominus ad Moysen dicens:
24 'Speak to the Israelites and say: "The first day of the seventh month wil be a day of rest for you, ofremembrance and acclamation, a sacred assembly.	24 “ Loquere filiis Israel: Mense septimo, prima die mensis, erit vobis requies, memoriale, clangentibus tubis, conventus sanctus.
25 You wil do no heavy work and you will offer food burnt for Yahweh." '	25 Omne opus servile non facietis in eo et offeretis incensum Domino ”.
26 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:	26 Locutusque est Dominus ad Moysen dicens:
27 'But the tenth day of this seventh month wil be the Day of Expiation. You wil hold a sacred assembly.You will fast and offer food burnt for Yahweh.	27 “ Attamen decimo die mensis huius septimi dies Expiationum est, conventus sanctus erit vobis; affligetisque animas vestras in eo et offeretis incensum Domino.
28 You wil do no work that day, for it is the Day of Expiation, on which the rite of expiation will beperformed for you before Yahweh your God.	28 Omne opus non facietis in tempore diei huius, quia dies expiationum est in expiationem vestram coram Domino Deo vestro.
29 Anyone who fails to fast that day wil be outlawed from his people;	29 Omnis anima, quae afflicta non fuerit die hoc, peribit de populis suis;
30 anyone who works that day I shal eliminate from his people.	30 et,quae operis quippiam fecerit die hac, delebo eam de populo suo.
31 No work wil be done -- this is a perpetual law for your descendants wherever you live.	31 Nihil ergo operis facietis in eo: legitimum sempiternum erit vestris generationibus in cunctis habitationibus vestris.
32 It must be a day of complete rest for you. You wil fast; on the evening of the ninth day of the month,from this evening till the fol owing evening, you wil rest completely.'	32 Sabbatum requietionis est vobis, et affligetis animas vestras; die nono mensis a vespero usque ad vesperum servabitis sabbatum vestrum ”.
33 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:	33 Et locutus est Dominus ad Moysen dicens:
34 'Speak to the Israelites and say: "On the fifteenth day of this seventh month there wil be the feast ofShelters for Yahweh, lasting for seven days.	34 “ Loquere filiis Israel: Quinto decimo die mensis huius septimi erit festum Tabernaculorum septem diebus Domino.
35 The first day wil be a day of sacred assembly; you wil do no heavy work.	35 Die primo conventus sanctus, omne opus servile non facietis in eo;
36 For seven days you will offer food burnt for Yahweh. On the eighth day you wil hold a sacredassembly and you will offer food burnt for Yahweh. It is a day of solemn meeting; you wil do no heavy work.	36 septem diebus offeretis incensum Domino. Die octavo conventus sanctus erit vobis et offeretis incensum Domino; est enim coetus: omne opus servile non facietis.
37 "These are Yahweh's solemn festivals to which you wil summon the Israelites, the sacred assembliesfor the purpose of offering food burnt for Yahweh, consisting of burnt offerings, cereal offerings, sacrifices andlibations, each on its appropriate day,	37 Hae sunt feriae Domini, quas vocabitis conventus sanctos, offeretisque in eis incensum Domino, holocausta et oblationes similae, sacrificia et libamenta iuxta ritum uniuscuiusque diei;
38 besides Yahweh's Sabbaths, and your presents and al your votive and voluntary gifts that you maketo Yahweh.	38 praeter sabbata Domini donaque vestra et omnia, quae offeretis ex voto vel quae sponte tribuetis Domino.
39 "But on the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have gathered in the produce of the land,you wil celebrate the feast of Yahweh for seven days. The first and eighth days wil be days of rest.	39 Sed quinto decimo die mensis septimi, quando congregaveritis omnes fructus terrae, celebrabitis festum Domini septem diebus; die primo et die octavo erit requies.
40 On the first day you wil take choice fruit, palm branches, boughs of leafy trees and flowering shrubsfrom the river bank, and for seven days enjoy yourselves before Yahweh your God.	40 Sumetisque vobis die primo fructus arboris pulcherrimos spatulasque palmarum et ramos ligni densarum frondium et salices de torrente et laetabimini coram Domino Deo vestro.
41 You wil celebrate a feast for Yahweh in this way for seven days every year. This is a perpetual lawfor your descendants. "You wil keep this feast in the seventh month.	41 Celebrabitisque sollemnitatem eius septem diebus per annum: legitimum sempiternum erit generationibus vestris. Mense septimo festum celebrabitis
42 For seven days you will live in shelters: al the citizens of Israel wil live in shelters,	42 et habitabitis in umbraculis septem diebus; omnis, qui de genere est Israel, manebit in tabernaculis,
43 so that your descendants may know that I made the Israelites live in shelters when I brought them outof Egypt, I, Yahweh your God." '	43 ut discant posteri vestri quod in tabernaculis habitare fecerim filios Israel, cum educerem eos de terra Aegypti. Ego Dominus Deus vester ”.
44 Moses then promulgated Yahweh's solemn festivals to the Israelites.	44 Locutusque est Moyses super sollemnitatibus Domini ad filios Israel.
