Leviticus 23

NEW JERUSALEM	JERUSALEM
1 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:	1 Yahvé parla à Moïse et dit:
2 'Speak to the Israelites and say: (The solemn festivals of Yahweh to which you wil summon them aremy sacred assemblies.) "These are my solemn festivals:	2 Parle aux Israélites; tu leur diras: (Les solennités de Yahvé auxquelles vous les convoquerez, cesont là mes saintes assemblées.) Voici mes solennités:
3 "You wil work for six days, but the seventh wil be a day of complete rest, a day for the sacredassembly on which you do no work at al . Wherever you live, this is a Sabbath for Yahweh.	3 Pendant six jours on travaillera, mais le septième jour sera jour de repos complet, jour de sainteconvocation, où vous ne ferez aucun travail. Où que vous habitiez, c'est un sabbat pour Yahvé.
4 "These are Yahweh's solemn festivals, the sacred assemblies to which you wil summon the Israeliteson the appointed day:	4 Voici les solennités de Yahvé, les saintes assemblées où vous appellerez les Israélites à la datefixée:
5 "The fourteenth day of the first month, at twilight, is the Passover of Yahweh;	5 Le premier mois, le quatorzième jour du mois, au crépuscule, c'est Pâque pour Yahvé,
6 and the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of Unleavened Bread for Yahweh. For seven daysyou wil eat unleavened bread.	6 et le quinzième jour de ce mois, c'est la fête des Azymes pour Yahvé. Pendant sept jours vousmangerez des pains sans levain.
7 On the first day you wil hold a sacred assembly; you wil do no heavy work.	7 Le premier jour il y aura pour vous une sainte assemblée; vous ne ferez aucune oeuvre servile.
8 For seven days you wil offer food burnt for Yahweh. On the seventh day there will be a sacredassembly; you wil do no heavy work." '	8 Pendant sept jours vous offrirez un mets à Yahvé. Le septième jour, jour de sainte assemblée,vous ne ferez aucune oeuvre servile.
9 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:	9 Yahvé parla à Moïse et dit:
10 'Speak to the Israelites and say: "When you enter the country which I am giving you and reap theharvest there, you wil bring the priest the first sheaf of your harvest,	10 Parle aux Israélites; tu leur diras: Quand vous serez entrés dans le pays que je vous donne etquand vous y ferez la moisson, vous apporterez au prêtre la première gerbe de votre moisson.
11 and he wil present it to Yahweh with the gesture of offering, for you to be acceptable. The priest willmake this offering on the day after the Sabbath,	11 Il l'offrira devant Yahvé en geste de présentation pour que vous soyez agréés. C'est lelendemain du sabbat que le prêtre fera cette présentation
12 and on the same day as you make this offering, you wil offer Yahweh an unblemished lamb one yearold as a burnt offering.	12 et, le jour où vous ferez cette présentation, vous offrirez à Yahvé l'holocauste d'un agneau d'unan, sans défaut.
13 The cereal offering for that day will be two-tenths of wheaten flour mixed with oil, as food burnt as asmel pleasing to Yahweh. The libation wil be a quarter of a hin of wine.	13 L'oblation en sera ce jour-là de deux dixièmes de fleur de farine pétrie à l'huile, mets consumépour Yahvé en parfum d'apaisement; la libation de vin en sera d'un quart de setier.
14 You wil eat no bread, roasted ears of wheat or fresh produce before this day, before making theoffering to your God. This is a perpetual law for al your descendants, wherever you live.	14 Vous ne mangerez pas de pain, épis grillés ou pain cuit, avant ce jour, avant d'avoir apportél'offrande de votre Dieu. C'est une loi perpétuelle pour vos descendants, où que vous habitiez.
15 "From the day after the Sabbath, the day on which you bring the sheaf of offering, you will countseven ful weeks.	15 A partir du lendemain du sabbat, du jour où vous aurez apporté la gerbe de présentation, vouscompterez sept semaines complètes.
16 You wil count fifty days, to the day after the seventh Sabbath, and then you wil offer Yahweh a newcereal offering.	16 Vous compterez 50 jours jusqu'au lendemain du septième sabbat et vous offrirez alors à Yahvéune nouvelle oblation.
17 You wil bring bread from your homes to present with the gesture of offering -- two loaves, made oftwo-tenths of wheaten flour baked with leaven; these are first-fruits for Yahweh.	17 Vous apporterez de vos demeures du pain à offrir en geste de présentation, en deux parts dedeux dixièmes de fleur de farine cuite avec du ferment, à titre de prémices pour Yahvé.
18 In addition to the bread, you wil offer seven unblemished lambs a year old, a young bul and tworams, as a burnt offering to Yahweh with a cereal offering and a libation, as food burnt as a smel pleasing to Yahweh.	18 Vous offrirez en plus du pain sept agneaux d'un an, sans défaut, un taureau et deux béliers àtitre d'holocauste pour Yahvé, accompagnés d'une oblation et d'une libation, mets consumés en parfumd'apaisement pour Yahvé.
19 You wil also offer a goat as a sacrifice for sin, and two lambs a year old as communion sacrifice.	19 Vous ferez aussi avec un bouc un sacrifice pour le péché et avec deux agneaux nés dans l'annéeun sacrifice de communion.
20 The priest wil present them before Yahweh with the gesture of offering, in addition to the bread of thefirst-fruits. These, and the two lambs, are holy things for Yahweh, and wil revert to the priest.	20 Le prêtre les offrira en geste de présentation devant Yahvé, en plus du pain des prémices. Enplus des deux agneaux, ce sont choses saintes pour Yahvé, qui reviendront au prêtre.
21 "On the same day, you will hold an assembly; for you this will be a sacred assembly; you wil do noheavy work. This is a perpetual law for your descendants, wherever you live.	21 Ce même jour vous ferez une convocation; ce sera pour vous une sainte assemblée, vous neferez aucune oeuvre servile. C'est une loi perpétuelle pour vos descendants, où que vous habitiez.
22 "When you reap the harvest in your country, you wil not reap to the very edges of your field, nor wilyou gather the gleanings of the harvest. You wil leave them for the poor and the stranger. I am Yahweh yourGod." '	22 Lorsque vous ferez la moisson dans votre pays, tu ne moissonneras pas jusqu'à l'extrême bordde ton champ et tu ne glaneras pas ta moisson. Tu abandonneras cela au pauvre et à l'étranger. Je suis Yahvévotre Dieu.
23 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:	23 Yahvé parla à Moïse et dit:
24 'Speak to the Israelites and say: "The first day of the seventh month wil be a day of rest for you, ofremembrance and acclamation, a sacred assembly.	24 Parle aux Israélites, dis-leur: Le septième mois, le premier jour du mois, il y aura pour vousjour de repos, appel en clameur, sainte assemblée.
25 You wil do no heavy work and you will offer food burnt for Yahweh." '	25 Vous ne ferez aucune oeuvre servile et vous offrirez un mets à Yahvé.
26 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:	26 Yahvé parla à Moïse et dit:
27 'But the tenth day of this seventh month wil be the Day of Expiation. You wil hold a sacred assembly.You will fast and offer food burnt for Yahweh.	27 D'autre part, le dixième jour de ce septième mois, c'est le jour des Expiations. Il y aura pourvous une sainte assemblée. Vous jeûnerez et vous offrirez un mets à Yahvé.
28 You wil do no work that day, for it is the Day of Expiation, on which the rite of expiation will beperformed for you before Yahweh your God.	28 Ce jour-là vous ne ferez aucun travail, car c'est le jour des Expiations où l'on accomplit sur vousle rite d'expiation devant Yahvé votre Dieu.
29 Anyone who fails to fast that day wil be outlawed from his people;	29 Oui, quiconque ne jeûnera pas ce jour-là sera retranché des siens;
30 anyone who works that day I shal eliminate from his people.	30 quiconque fera un travail ce jour-là, je le supprimerai du milieu de son peuple.
31 No work wil be done -- this is a perpetual law for your descendants wherever you live.	31 Vous ne ferez aucun travail, c'est une loi perpétuelle pour vos descendants, où que voushabitiez.
32 It must be a day of complete rest for you. You wil fast; on the evening of the ninth day of the month,from this evening till the fol owing evening, you wil rest completely.'	32 Ce sera pour vous un jour de repos complet. Vous jeûnerez; le soir du neuvième jour du mois,depuis ce soir jusqu'au soir suivant, vous cesserez le travail.
33 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:	33 Yahvé parla à Moïse et dit:
34 'Speak to the Israelites and say: "On the fifteenth day of this seventh month there wil be the feast ofShelters for Yahweh, lasting for seven days.	34 Parle aux Israélites, dis-leur: Le quinzième jour de ce septième mois il y aura pendant sept joursla fête des Tentes pour Yahvé.
35 The first day wil be a day of sacred assembly; you wil do no heavy work.	35 Le premier jour, jour de sainte assemblée, vous ne ferez aucune oeuvre servile.
36 For seven days you will offer food burnt for Yahweh. On the eighth day you wil hold a sacredassembly and you will offer food burnt for Yahweh. It is a day of solemn meeting; you wil do no heavy work.	36 Pendant sept jours vous offrirez un mets à Yahvé. Le huitième jour il y aura pour vous unesainte assemblée, vous offrirez un mets à Yahvé. C'est jour de réunion, vous ne ferez aucune oeuvre servile.
37 "These are Yahweh's solemn festivals to which you wil summon the Israelites, the sacred assembliesfor the purpose of offering food burnt for Yahweh, consisting of burnt offerings, cereal offerings, sacrifices andlibations, each on its appropriate day,	37 Telles sont les solennités de Yahvé où vous convoquerez les Israélites, saintes assembléesdestinées à offrir des mets à Yahvé, holocaustes, oblations, sacrifices, libations, selon le rituel propre à chaquejour,
38 besides Yahweh's Sabbaths, and your presents and al your votive and voluntary gifts that you maketo Yahweh.	38 outre les sabbats de Yahvé, les présents, dons votifs et volontaires que vous ferez à Yahvé.
39 "But on the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have gathered in the produce of the land,you wil celebrate the feast of Yahweh for seven days. The first and eighth days wil be days of rest.	39 D'autre part, le quinzième jour du septième mois, lorsque vous aurez récolté les produits dupays, vous célébrerez la fête de Yahvé pendant sept jours. Le premier et le huitième jour il y aura jour de repos.
40 On the first day you wil take choice fruit, palm branches, boughs of leafy trees and flowering shrubsfrom the river bank, and for seven days enjoy yourselves before Yahweh your God.	40 Le premier jour vous prendrez de beaux fruits, des rameaux de palmier, des branches d'arbrestouffus et de gattiliers, et vous vous réjouirez pendant sept jours en présence de Yahvé votre Dieu.
41 You wil celebrate a feast for Yahweh in this way for seven days every year. This is a perpetual lawfor your descendants. "You wil keep this feast in the seventh month.	41 Vous célébrerez ainsi une fête pour Yahvé sept jours par an. C'est une loi perpétuelle pour vosdescendants. C'est au septième mois que vous ferez cette fête.
42 For seven days you will live in shelters: al the citizens of Israel wil live in shelters,	42 Vous habiterez sept jours sous des huttes. Tous les citoyens d'Israël habiteront sous des huttes,
43 so that your descendants may know that I made the Israelites live in shelters when I brought them outof Egypt, I, Yahweh your God." '	43 afin que vos descendants sachent que j'ai fait habiter sous des huttes les Israélites quand je les aifait sortir du pays d'Egypte. Je suis Yahvé votre Dieu.
44 Moses then promulgated Yahweh's solemn festivals to the Israelites.	44 Et Moïse décrivit aux Israélites les solennités de Yahvé.
