Leviticus 1

1 Yahweh summoned Moses and, speaking to him from the Tent of Meeting, said,	1 ויקרא אל משה וידבר יהוה אליו מאהל מועד לאמר
2 'Speak to the Israelites; say to them, "When any of you brings an offering to Yahweh, he can offer ananimal either from the herd or from the flock.	2 דבר אל בני ישראל ואמרת אלהם אדם כי יקריב מכם קרבן ליהוה מן הבהמה מן הבקר ומן הצאן תקריבו את קרבנכם
3 "If his offering is to be a burnt offering from the herd, he must offer an unblemished male; he wil offer itat the entrance to the Tent of Meeting, to make it acceptable to Yahweh.	3 אם עלה קרבנו מן הבקר זכר תמים יקריבנו אל פתח אהל מועד יקריב אתו לרצנו לפני יהוה
4 He must lay his hand on the victim's head, and it will be accepted as effectual for his expiation.	4 וסמך ידו על ראש העלה ונרצה לו לכפר עליו
5 He wil then slaughter the bul before Yahweh, and the priests descended from Aaron wil offer theblood. They wil pour it all around the altar which stands at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.	5 ושחט את בן הבקר לפני יהוה והקריבו בני אהרן הכהנים את הדם וזרקו את הדם על המזבח סביב אשר פתח אהל מועד
6 He wil then skin the victim and quarter it.	6 והפשיט את העלה ונתח אתה לנתחיה
7 The priests descended from Aaron will put a fire on the altar and arrange wood on the fire.	7 ונתנו בני אהרן הכהן אש על המזבח וערכו עצים על האש
8 The priests descended from Aaron will then arrange the quarters, the head and the fat on the wood onthe fire on the altar.	8 וערכו בני אהרן הכהנים את הנתחים את הראש ואת הפדר על העצים אשר על האש אשר על המזבח
9 He wil wash the entrails and shins in water, and the priest wil burn it all on the altar as a burnt offering,food burnt as a smel pleasing to Yahweh.	9 וקרבו וכרעיו ירחץ במים והקטיר הכהן את הכל המזבחה עלה אשה ריח ניחוח ליהוה
10 "If his offering is to be of an animal from the flock, of a lamb or a goat to be offered as a burnt offering,he must offer an unblemished male.	10 ואם מן הצאן קרבנו מן הכשבים או מן העזים לעלה זכר תמים יקריבנו
11 He will slaughter it on the north side of the altar, before Yahweh, and the priests descended fromAaron will pour the blood al around the altar.	11 ושחט אתו על ירך המזבח צפנה לפני יהוה וזרקו בני אהרן הכהנים את דמו על המזבח סביב
12 He will then quarter it, and the priest wil arrange the quarters, the head and the fat on the wood on thefire on the altar.	12 ונתח אתו לנתחיו ואת ראשו ואת פדרו וערך הכהן אתם על העצים אשר על האש אשר על המזבח
13 He will wash the entrails and shins in water, and the priest wil burn it al on the altar as a burnt offering, food burnt as a smel pleasing to Yahweh.	13 והקרב והכרעים ירחץ במים והקריב הכהן את הכל והקטיר המזבחה עלה הוא אשה ריח ניחח ליהוה
14 "If his offering to Yahweh is to be a burnt offering of a bird, he must offer a turtledove or a youngpigeon.	14 ואם מן העוף עלה קרבנו ליהוה והקריב מן התרים או מן בני היונה את קרבנו
15 The priest wil offer it at the altar and wring off its head, which he wil burn on the altar; its blood mustthen be squeezed out on the side of the altar.	15 והקריבו הכהן אל המזבח ומלק את ראשו והקטיר המזבחה ונמצה דמו על קיר המזבח
16 He will then remove the crop and the feathers and throw them on the eastern side of the altar, wherethe fatty ashes are put.	16 והסיר את מראתו בנצתה והשליך אתה אצל המזבח קדמה אל מקום הדשן
17 He will then split it in half with a wing on each side, but without separating the two parts. The priest wilthen burn it on the altar, on the wood which is on the fire, as a burnt offering, food burnt as a smel pleasing toYahweh." '	17 ושסע אתו בכנפיו לא יבדיל והקטיר אתו הכהן המזבחה על העצים אשר על האש עלה הוא אשה ריח ניחח ליהוה
