1 Yahweh summoned Moses and, speaking to him from the Tent of Meeting, said,	1 Yahvé appela Moïse et, de la Tente du Rendez-Vous, il lui dit:
2 'Speak to the Israelites; say to them, "When any of you brings an offering to Yahweh, he can offer ananimal either from the herd or from the flock.	2 “Voici ce que tu diras aux Israélites: Lorsque l’un d’entre vous fera une offrande à Yahvé, ce sera du bétail qu’il offrira: du gros ou du petit bétail.
3 "If his offering is to be a burnt offering from the herd, he must offer an unblemished male; he wil offer itat the entrance to the Tent of Meeting, to make it acceptable to Yahweh.	3 S’il veut offrir un sacrifice totalement consumé (un “holocauste”) de gros bétail, il viendra présenter à l’entrée de la Tente du Rendez-Vous le mâle sans défaut qu’il aura choisi, et ainsi son sacrifice sera agréable à Yahvé.
4 He must lay his hand on the victim's head, and it will be accepted as effectual for his expiation.	4 Il posera sa main sur la tête de la victime, et le sacrifice sera accepté en sa faveur pour l’expiation de ses péchés.
5 He wil then slaughter the bul before Yahweh, and the priests descended from Aaron wil offer theblood. They wil pour it all around the altar which stands at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.	5 Il égorgera le jeune taureau devant Yahvé, et les prêtres, fils d’Aaron, offriront le sang. Ils le répandront tout autour et sur l’autel qui est à l’entrée de la Tente du Rendez-Vous.
6 He wil then skin the victim and quarter it.	6 On dépouillera alors la victime et on la découpera en morceaux.
7 The priests descended from Aaron will put a fire on the altar and arrange wood on the fire.	7 Les fils du prêtre Aaron allumeront le feu sur l’autel et mettront le bois par-dessus des braises.
8 The priests descended from Aaron will then arrange the quarters, the head and the fat on the wood onthe fire on the altar.	8 Puis les prêtres, fils d’Aaron, disposeront les morceaux avec la tête et les boyaux sur le bois placé sur le feu de l’autel.
9 He wil wash the entrails and shins in water, and the priest wil burn it all on the altar as a burnt offering,food burnt as a smel pleasing to Yahweh.	9 On lavera à l’eau les entrailles et les jambes, et le prêtre fera brûler le tout sur l’autel. C’est un holocauste, un sacrifice par le feu d’une agréable odeur à Yahvé.
10 "If his offering is to be of an animal from the flock, of a lamb or a goat to be offered as a burnt offering,he must offer an unblemished male.	10 S’il s’agit d’une offrande de petit bétail, un holocauste d’agneau ou de chèvre, on offrira un mâle sans défaut.
11 He will slaughter it on the north side of the altar, before Yahweh, and the priests descended fromAaron will pour the blood al around the altar.	11 On l’égorgera du côté nord de l’autel, devant Yahvé, et les prêtres, fils d’Aaron, en répandront le sang sur l’autel et autour.
12 He will then quarter it, and the priest wil arrange the quarters, the head and the fat on the wood on thefire on the altar.	12 On le découpera en morceaux, avec la tête et les boyaux, puis le prêtre les disposera sur le bois placé sur le feu de l’autel.
13 He will wash the entrails and shins in water, and the priest wil burn it al on the altar as a burnt offering, food burnt as a smel pleasing to Yahweh.	13 On lavera à l’eau les entrailles et les jambes, et le prêtre offrira le tout et le fera brûler sur l’autel. C’est un holocauste, un sacrifice par le feu d’agréable odeur à Yahvé.
14 "If his offering to Yahweh is to be a burnt offering of a bird, he must offer a turtledove or a youngpigeon.	14 Si l’offrande à Yahvé est un holocauste d’oiseaux, on offrira des tourterelles ou de jeunes pigeons.
15 The priest wil offer it at the altar and wring off its head, which he wil burn on the altar; its blood mustthen be squeezed out on the side of the altar.	15 Le prêtre apportera l’oiseau à l’autel, il lui pincera le cou, puis le fera brûler sur l’autel. Quant au sang, il s’écoulera sur le côté de l’autel.
16 He will then remove the crop and the feathers and throw them on the eastern side of the altar, wherethe fatty ashes are put.	16 On enlèvera le jabot avec les plumes, et on jettera le tout à côté de l’autel, à l’orient, près des cendres.
17 He will then split it in half with a wing on each side, but without separating the two parts. The priest wilthen burn it on the altar, on the wood which is on the fire, as a burnt offering, food burnt as a smel pleasing toYahweh." '	17 On fera une fente entre les ailes, mais sans les séparer, et le prêtre le fera fumer sur l’autel, sur le bois disposé sur le feu. C’est un holocauste, un sacrifice par le feu d’agréable odeur à Yahvé.
