Leviticus 1

NEW JERUSALEM	SAGRADA BIBLIA
1 Yahweh summoned Moses and, speaking to him from the Tent of Meeting, said,	1 O Senhor chamou Moisés e falou-lhe da tenda de reunião:
2 'Speak to the Israelites; say to them, "When any of you brings an offering to Yahweh, he can offer ananimal either from the herd or from the flock.	2 "Fala, disse-lhe ele, aos israelitas. Dize-lhes: Quando um de vós fizer uma oferta ao Senhor, será dentre o gado maior ou menor que oferecereis.
3 "If his offering is to be a burnt offering from the herd, he must offer an unblemished male; he wil offer itat the entrance to the Tent of Meeting, to make it acceptable to Yahweh.	3 Se a oferta for um holocausto tirado do gado maior, oferecerá um macho sem defeito; e o oferecerá à entrada da tenda de reunião para obter o favor do Senhor.
4 He must lay his hand on the victim's head, and it will be accepted as effectual for his expiation.	4 Porá a mão sobre a cabeça da vítima, que será aceita em seu favor para lhe servir de expiação.
5 He wil then slaughter the bul before Yahweh, and the priests descended from Aaron wil offer theblood. They wil pour it all around the altar which stands at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.	5 Imolar-se-á o novilho diante do Senhor, e os sacerdotes, filhos de Aarão, oferecerão o sangue e o derramarão ao redor sobre o altar que está à entrada da tenda de reunião.
6 He wil then skin the victim and quarter it.	6 Tirar-se-á a pele da vítima, e esta será cortada em pedaços.
7 The priests descended from Aaron will put a fire on the altar and arrange wood on the fire.	7 Os filhos do sacerdote Aarão porão fogo no altar, e empilharão a lenha sobre ele,
8 The priests descended from Aaron will then arrange the quarters, the head and the fat on the wood onthe fire on the altar.	8 dispondo, em seguida, por cima da lenha, os pedaços, a cabeça e a gordura.
9 He wil wash the entrails and shins in water, and the priest wil burn it all on the altar as a burnt offering,food burnt as a smel pleasing to Yahweh.	9 Lavar-se-ão com água as entranhas e as pernas, e o sacerdote queimará tudo sobre o altar. Este é um holocausto, um sacrifício consumido pelo fogo, de odor agradável ao Senhor.
10 "If his offering is to be of an animal from the flock, of a lamb or a goat to be offered as a burnt offering,he must offer an unblemished male.	10 Se a sua oferta for um holocausto tirado do gado menor, dos cordeiros ou das cabras, oferecerá um macho sem defeito.
11 He will slaughter it on the north side of the altar, before Yahweh, and the priests descended fromAaron will pour the blood al around the altar.	11 Imolá-lo-ás do lado norte do altar, diante do Senhor, e os sacerdotes, filhos de Aarão, derramarão o seu sangue em redor do altar.
12 He will then quarter it, and the priest wil arrange the quarters, the head and the fat on the wood on thefire on the altar.	12 A vítima será, em seguida, cortada em pedaços, com a cabeça e a gordura, que o sacerdote disporá sobre a lenha colocada no fogo do altar.
13 He will wash the entrails and shins in water, and the priest wil burn it al on the altar as a burnt offering, food burnt as a smel pleasing to Yahweh.	13 As entranhas e as pernas serão lavadas com água, e, em seguida, o sacerdote oferecerá tudo isso, queimando-o no altar. Este é um holocausto, um sacrifício consumido pelo fogo, de odor agradável ao Senhor.
14 "If his offering to Yahweh is to be a burnt offering of a bird, he must offer a turtledove or a youngpigeon.	14 Se a sua oferta ao Senhor for um holocausto tirado dentre as aves, oferecerá rolas ou pombinhos.
15 The priest wil offer it at the altar and wring off its head, which he wil burn on the altar; its blood mustthen be squeezed out on the side of the altar.	15 O sacerdote meterá a ave sobre o altar, lhe destroncará a cabeça e a queimará no altar, depois de haver espremido o seu sangue contra a parede do altar.
16 He will then remove the crop and the feathers and throw them on the eastern side of the altar, wherethe fatty ashes are put.	16 Tirará o papo com as penas e os jogará perto do altar, para o oriente, no lugar onde se põem as cinzas.
17 He will then split it in half with a wing on each side, but without separating the two parts. The priest wilthen burn it on the altar, on the wood which is on the fire, as a burnt offering, food burnt as a smel pleasing toYahweh." '	17 Abrirá em seguida a ave à altura das asas, sem as desprender, e a queimará no altar, em cima da lenha que está no fogo. Este é um holocausto, um sacrifício consumido pelo fogo, de odor agradável ao Senhor."
