Leviticus 1

NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 Yahweh summoned Moses and, speaking to him from the Tent of Meeting, said,	1 El Señor llamó a Moisés y le habló desde la Carpa del Encuentro en estos términos:
2 'Speak to the Israelites; say to them, "When any of you brings an offering to Yahweh, he can offer ananimal either from the herd or from the flock.	2 Di a los israelitas: Cuando alguno de ustedes presente al Señor una ofrenda de ganado, podrá ofrecer animales del ganado mayor o menor.
3 "If his offering is to be a burnt offering from the herd, he must offer an unblemished male; he wil offer itat the entrance to the Tent of Meeting, to make it acceptable to Yahweh.	3 Si su ofrenda es un holocausto de ganado mayor, deberá presentar un animal macho y sin ningún defecto. Lo llevará a la entrada de la Carpa del Encuentro, para que sea aceptado por el Señor,
4 He must lay his hand on the victim's head, and it will be accepted as effectual for his expiation.	4 e impondrá su mano sobre la cabeza de la víctima. Así esta le será aceptada y le servirá de expiación.
5 He wil then slaughter the bul before Yahweh, and the priests descended from Aaron wil offer theblood. They wil pour it all around the altar which stands at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.	5 Luego inmolará el novillo en la presencia del Señor, y los hijos de Aarón, los sacerdotes, ofrecerán la sangre y la derramarán sobre todos los costados del altar que está a la entrada de la Carpa del Encuentro.
6 He wil then skin the victim and quarter it.	6 El oferente desollará la víctima para el holocausto y la dividirá en pedazos.
7 The priests descended from Aaron will put a fire on the altar and arrange wood on the fire.	7 Entonces los hijos del sacerdote Aarón encenderán fuego en el altar, pondrán leña sobre el fuego y dispondrán los pedazos sobre el fuego y dispondrán los pedazos sobre la leña encendida que está sobre el altar, incluidas la cabeza y la grasa.
8 The priests descended from Aaron will then arrange the quarters, the head and the fat on the wood onthe fire on the altar.	8 y dispondrán los pedazos sobre la leña encendida que está sobre el altar, incluidas la cabeza y la grasa.
9 He wil wash the entrails and shins in water, and the priest wil burn it all on the altar as a burnt offering,food burnt as a smel pleasing to Yahweh.	9 Después el oferente lavará con agua las entrañas y las patas, y por último, el sacerdote hará arder todo sobre el altar: es un holocausto, una ofrenda que se quema con aroma agradable al Señor.
10 "If his offering is to be of an animal from the flock, of a lamb or a goat to be offered as a burnt offering,he must offer an unblemished male.	10 Si su ofrenda para el holocausto pertenece al ganado menor –corderos o cabras– deberá ofrecer un animal macho y sin defecto.
11 He will slaughter it on the north side of the altar, before Yahweh, and the priests descended fromAaron will pour the blood al around the altar.	11 Lo inmolará en la presencia del Señor, sobre el lado del altar que da hacia el norte, y los hijos de Aarón, los sacerdotes rociarán con su sangre todos los costados del altar.
12 He will then quarter it, and the priest wil arrange the quarters, the head and the fat on the wood on thefire on the altar.	12 Luego lo cortará en pedazos, y el sacerdote dispondrá esas partes incluidas la cabeza y la grasa, sobre la leña encendida que está sobre el altar.
13 He will wash the entrails and shins in water, and the priest wil burn it al on the altar as a burnt offering, food burnt as a smel pleasing to Yahweh.	13 El oferente lavará con agua las entrañas y las patas, y por último, el sacerdote hará arder todo sobre el altar: es un holocausto, una ofrenda que se quema con aroma agradable al Señor.
14 "If his offering to Yahweh is to be a burnt offering of a bird, he must offer a turtledove or a youngpigeon.	14 Si lo que ofrece en holocausto al Señor es un pájaro, podrá ofrecer torcazas o pichones de paloma.
15 The priest wil offer it at the altar and wring off its head, which he wil burn on the altar; its blood mustthen be squeezed out on the side of the altar.	15 El sacerdote depositará la ofrenda sobre al altar y le arrancará la cabeza. Luego hará arder la cabeza sobre el altar y escurrirá la sangre de la víctima por la pared del mismo.
16 He will then remove the crop and the feathers and throw them on the eastern side of the altar, wherethe fatty ashes are put.	16 Después le sacará el buche con sus residuos, y los arrojará al lugar donde se depositan las cenizas, en el lado este del altar.
17 He will then split it in half with a wing on each side, but without separating the two parts. The priest wilthen burn it on the altar, on the wood which is on the fire, as a burnt offering, food burnt as a smel pleasing toYahweh." '	17 Dividirá el animal en dos mitades, dejando un ala de cada lado, pero sin separarlas. Finalmente, el sacerdote lo hará arder sobre la leña encendida: es un holocausto, una ofrenda que se quema con aroma agradable al Señor.
