Isaiah 60

NEW JERUSALEM	LXX
1 Arise, shine out, for your light has come, and the glory of Yahweh has risen on you.	1 φωτιζου φωτιζου ιερουσαλημ ηκει γαρ σου το φως και η δοξα κυριου επι σε ανατεταλκεν
2 Look! though night stil covers the earth and darkness the peoples, on you Yahweh is rising and overyou his glory can be seen.	2 ιδου σκοτος και γνοφος καλυψει γην επ' εθνη επι δε σε φανησεται κυριος και η δοξα αυτου επι σε οφθησεται
3 The nations wil come to your light and kings to your dawning brightness.	3 και πορευσονται βασιλεις τω φωτι σου και εθνη τη λαμπροτητι σου
4 Lift up your eyes and look around: al are assembling and coming towards you, your sons coming fromfar away and your daughters being carried on the hip.	4 αρον κυκλω τους οφθαλμους σου και ιδε συνηγμενα τα τεκνα σου ιδου ηκασιν παντες οι υιοι σου μακροθεν και αι θυγατερες σου επ' ωμων αρθησονται
5 At this sight you wil grow radiant, your heart will throb and dilate, since the riches of the sea wil flow toyou, the wealth of the nations come to you;	5 τοτε οψη και φοβηθηση και εκστηση τη καρδια οτι μεταβαλει εις σε πλουτος θαλασσης και εθνων και λαων και ηξουσιν σοι
6 camels in throngs wil fill your streets, the young camels of Midian and Ephah; everyone in Saba willcome, bringing gold and incense and proclaiming Yahweh's praises.	6 αγελαι καμηλων και καλυψουσιν σε καμηλοι μαδιαμ και γαιφα παντες εκ σαβα ηξουσιν φεροντες χρυσιον και λιβανον οισουσιν και το σωτηριον κυριου ευαγγελιουνται
7 Al the flocks of Kedar will gather inside you, the rams of Nebaioth wil be at your service as acceptablevictims on my altar, and I shal glorify my glorious house.	7 και παντα τα προβατα κηδαρ συναχθησονται σοι και κριοι ναβαιωθ ηξουσιν σοι και ανενεχθησεται δεκτα επι το θυσιαστηριον μου και ο οικος της προσευχης μου δοξασθησεται
8 Who are these flying like a cloud, like doves to their dovecote?	8 τινες οιδε ως νεφελαι πετανται και ως περιστεραι συν νεοσσοις
9 Why, the coasts and islands put their hope in me and the vessels of Tarshish take the lead in bringing your children from far away, and their silver and gold with them, for the sake of the name of Yahweh your God,of the Holy One of Israel who has made you glorious.	9 εμε νησοι υπεμειναν και πλοια θαρσις εν πρωτοις αγαγειν τα τεκνα σου μακροθεν και τον αργυρον και τον χρυσον μετ' αυτων δια το ονομα κυριου το αγιον και δια το τον αγιον του ισραηλ ενδοξον ειναι
10 Foreigners wil rebuild your walls and their kings wil serve you. For though I struck you in anger, inmercy I have pitied you.	10 και οικοδομησουσιν αλλογενεις τα τειχη σου και οι βασιλεις αυτων παραστησονται σοι δια γαρ οργην μου επαταξα σε και δια ελεον ηγαπησα σε
11 Your gates wil always be open, never closed, either day or night, for the riches of the nations to bebrought you and their kings to be let in.	11 και ανοιχθησονται αι πυλαι σου δια παντος ημερας και νυκτος ου κλεισθησονται εισαγαγειν προς σε δυναμιν εθνων και βασιλεις αγομενους
12 For the nation and kingdom that wil not serve you wil perish, and the nations wil be utterly destroyed.	12 τα γαρ εθνη και οι βασιλεις οιτινες ου δουλευσουσιν σοι απολουνται και τα εθνη ερημια ερημωθησονται
13 The glory of the Lebanon wil come to you, cypress, plane-tree, box-tree, one and all, to adorn the siteof my sanctuary, for me to honour the place where I stand.	13 και η δοξα του λιβανου προς σε ηξει εν κυπαρισσω και πευκη και κεδρω αμα δοξασαι τον τοπον τον αγιον μου
14 Your oppressors' children wil humbly approach you, at your feet al who despised you will faladdressing you as 'City of Yahweh', 'Zion of the Holy One of Israel'.	14 και πορευσονται προς σε δεδοικοτες υιοι ταπεινωσαντων σε και παροξυναντων σε και κληθηση πολις κυριου σιων αγιου ισραηλ
15 Instead of your being forsaken and hated, avoided by everyone, I will make you an object of eternalpride, a source of joy from age to age.	15 δια το γεγενησθαι σε εγκαταλελειμμενην και μεμισημενην και ουκ ην ο βοηθων και θησω σε αγαλλιαμα αιωνιον ευφροσυνην γενεων γενεαις
16 You wil suck the milk of nations, you wil suck the wealth of kings, and you wil know that I, Yahweh,am your Saviour, that your redeemer is the Mighty One of Jacob.	16 και θηλασεις γαλα εθνων και πλουτον βασιλεων φαγεσαι και γνωση οτι εγω κυριος ο σωζων σε και εξαιρουμενος σε θεος ισραηλ
17 For bronze I shal bring gold and for iron I shal bring silver, and for wood, bronze, and for stone, iron; Ishall make Peace your administration and Saving Justice your government.	17 και αντι χαλκου οισω σοι χρυσιον αντι δε σιδηρου οισω σοι αργυριον αντι δε ξυλων οισω σοι χαλκον αντι δε λιθων σιδηρον και δωσω τους αρχοντας σου εν ειρηνη και τους επισκοπους σου εν δικαιοσυνη
18 Violence wil no longer be heard of in your country, nor devastation and ruin within your frontiers. Youwil cal your wal s 'Salvation' and your gates 'Praise'.	18 και ουκ ακουσθησεται ετι αδικια εν τη γη σου ουδε συντριμμα ουδε ταλαιπωρια εν τοις οριοις σου αλλα κληθησεται σωτηριον τα τειχη σου και αι πυλαι σου γλυμμα
19 No more wil the sun give you daylight, nor moonlight shine on you, but Yahweh wil be youreverlasting light, your God wil be your splendour.	19 και ουκ εσται σοι ο ηλιος εις φως ημερας ουδε ανατολη σεληνης φωτιει σοι την νυκτα αλλ' εσται σοι κυριος φως αιωνιον και ο θεος δοξα σου
20 Your sun will set no more nor wil your moon wane, for Yahweh wil be your everlasting light and yourdays of mourning will be over.	20 ου γαρ δυσεται ο ηλιος σοι και η σεληνη σοι ουκ εκλειψει εσται γαρ κυριος σοι φως αιωνιον και αναπληρωθησονται αι ημεραι του πενθους σου
21 Your people, al of them upright, wil possess the country for ever, the shoot I myself have planted, myhandiwork, for my own glory.	21 και ο λαος σου πας δικαιος και δι' αιωνος κληρονομησουσιν την γην φυλασσων το φυτευμα εργα χειρων αυτου εις δοξαν
22 The smal est wil grow into a thousand, the weakest one into a mighty nation. When the time is ripe, I,Yahweh, shal quickly bring it about.	22 ο ολιγοστος εσται εις χιλιαδας και ο ελαχιστος εις εθνος μεγα εγω κυριος κατα καιρον συναξω αυτους
