Isaiah 60

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA RICCIOTTI
1 Arise, shine out, for your light has come, and the glory of Yahweh has risen on you.	1 - Sorgi, risplendi, o Gerusalemme, perchè la tua luce è venuta e la gloria del Signore è spuntata sopra di te.
2 Look! though night stil covers the earth and darkness the peoples, on you Yahweh is rising and overyou his glory can be seen.	2 Perchè ecco le tenebre copriranno la terra, e l'oscurità i popoli, ma sopra di te risplenderà il Signore, e la sua gloria si vedrà in te.
3 The nations wil come to your light and kings to your dawning brightness.	3 E le genti cammineranno alla tua luce, e i re allo splendore che nascerà da te!
4 Lift up your eyes and look around: al are assembling and coming towards you, your sons coming fromfar away and your daughters being carried on the hip.	4 Alza i tuoi sguardi in giro e guarda: tutti costoro si sono raccolti attorno a te, sono a te venuti; i figli tuoi verranno di lontano e le tue figlie da ogni lato sorgeranno.
5 At this sight you wil grow radiant, your heart will throb and dilate, since the riches of the sea wil flow toyou, the wealth of the nations come to you;	5 Allora guarderai e per l'affluire della gente, resterà meravigliato e si allargherà il tuo cuore; quando a te si rivolgerà la moltitudine d'oltre mare e la schiera delle genti a te sarà venuta.
6 camels in throngs wil fill your streets, the young camels of Midian and Ephah; everyone in Saba willcome, bringing gold and incense and proclaiming Yahweh's praises.	6 Un'onda di cammelli ti coprirà, i dromedari di Madian e di Efa; verranno tutti quei di Saba recando oro e incenso e annunziando le lodi del Signore.
7 Al the flocks of Kedar will gather inside you, the rams of Nebaioth wil be at your service as acceptablevictims on my altar, and I shal glorify my glorious house.	7 Tutto il gregge di Cedar si raccoglierà per te, gli arieti di Nabaiot serviranno al tuo culto, saranno offerti sopra il mio altare propiziatorio, e glorificherò la casa della mia maestà.
8 Who are these flying like a cloud, like doves to their dovecote?	8 Chi sono costoro che volano come nuvole e come colombe alle loro colombaie?
9 Why, the coasts and islands put their hope in me and the vessels of Tarshish take the lead in bringing your children from far away, and their silver and gold with them, for the sake of the name of Yahweh your God,of the Holy One of Israel who has made you glorious.	9 Le isole aspettano me, e le navi del mare per prime, affinchè io conduca i tuoi figli da lontano, recanti il loro argento e il loro oro pel nome del Signore Dio tuo e pel Santo di Israele, che ti ha fatta gloriosa.
10 Foreigners wil rebuild your walls and their kings wil serve you. For though I struck you in anger, inmercy I have pitied you.	10 E i figli degli stranieri edificheranno le tue mura, e i loro re ti serviranno: poichè nel mio sdegno ti ho percossa, e dopo la riconciliazione ti ho colmato di misericordia.
11 Your gates wil always be open, never closed, either day or night, for the riches of the nations to bebrought you and their kings to be let in.	11 E le tue porte saranno sempre aperte, non si chiuderanno nè di giorno nè di notte, affinchè sia condotta a te la schiera delle genti e menati i loro re.
12 For the nation and kingdom that wil not serve you wil perish, and the nations wil be utterly destroyed.	12 Poichè il popolo e il regno che non serviranno a te periranno: genti che finiranno nella solitudine della devastazione.
13 The glory of the Lebanon wil come to you, cypress, plane-tree, box-tree, one and all, to adorn the siteof my sanctuary, for me to honour the place where I stand.	13 La gloria del Libano verrà a te, l'abete, il bosso e il pino insieme ad ornare il luogo del mio santuario; e io renderò glorioso il luogo dove posano i miei piedi.
14 Your oppressors' children wil humbly approach you, at your feet al who despised you will faladdressing you as 'City of Yahweh', 'Zion of the Holy One of Israel'.	14 E i figli di coloro che ti umiliarono chini verranno a te e tutti quelli che t'avevano insultato adoreranno le orme dei tuoi piedi e chiameranno te: La Città del Signore, la Sion del Santo d'Israele.
15 Instead of your being forsaken and hated, avoided by everyone, I will make you an object of eternalpride, a source of joy from age to age.	15 Per ciò che fosti abbandonata e odiata e senza più nessuno che passasse in mezzo a te, io ti collocherò superbo fastigio dei secoli e gaudio di generazioni e generazioni.
16 You wil suck the milk of nations, you wil suck the wealth of kings, and you wil know that I, Yahweh,am your Saviour, that your redeemer is the Mighty One of Jacob.	16 Succhierai il latte delle genti e sarai allattata dalle mammelle dei re, e conoscerai chi sono io il Signore, quello che ti salva, e il tuo redentore il possente di Israele.
17 For bronze I shal bring gold and for iron I shal bring silver, and for wood, bronze, and for stone, iron; Ishall make Peace your administration and Saving Justice your government.	17 Invece del rame ti recherò dell'oro; e in luogo di ferro ti porterò dell'argento; e in cambio di legno, rame; e al posto delle pietre, ferro; e per la tua sorveglianza metterò la pace; e alla tua sopraintendenza la giustizia.
18 Violence wil no longer be heard of in your country, nor devastation and ruin within your frontiers. Youwil cal your wal s 'Salvation' and your gates 'Praise'.	18 Non si sentirà più parlare di iniquità nella tua terra, nè di devastazione e di sterminio dentro alle tue frontiere: la salute occuperà le tue mura, e la lode le tue porte.
19 No more wil the sun give you daylight, nor moonlight shine on you, but Yahweh wil be youreverlasting light, your God wil be your splendour.	19 Non avrai più il sole per farti luce di giorno, nè lume di luna che ti rischiari: ma il Signore ti sarà luce eterna e il tuo Dio sarà per tua gloria.
20 Your sun will set no more nor wil your moon wane, for Yahweh wil be your everlasting light and yourdays of mourning will be over.	20 Il tuo sole non tramonterà, e la tua luna non scemerà; perchè il Signore ti sarà luce eterna e i giorni del tuo lutto saranno finiti.
21 Your people, al of them upright, wil possess the country for ever, the shoot I myself have planted, myhandiwork, for my own glory.	21 Il tuo popolo sarà tutto di giusti: possederanno la terra per sempre, germi della mia piantagione, opera della mia mano, per mia glorificazione.
22 The smal est wil grow into a thousand, the weakest one into a mighty nation. When the time is ripe, I,Yahweh, shal quickly bring it about.	22 Il minimo crescerà a mille doppi; il piccolo in gente fortissima: Io il Signore, a suo tempo in un momento farò questo.
