Isaiah 60

NEW JERUSALEM	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 Arise, shine out, for your light has come, and the glory of Yahweh has risen on you.	1 Lèvati, rivestiti di luce, poiché viene la tua luce e la gloria del Signore risplende su di te!
2 Look! though night stil covers the earth and darkness the peoples, on you Yahweh is rising and overyou his glory can be seen.	2 Poiché, ecco, le tenebre ricoprono la terra e l'oscurità avvolge i popoli, ma su di te risplende il Signore, la sua gloria appare su di te.
3 The nations wil come to your light and kings to your dawning brightness.	3 Cammineranno le nazioni alla tua luce e i re al tuo splendore sorgente.

5 At this sight you wil grow radiant, your heart will throb and dilate, since the riches of the sea wil flow toyou, the wealth of the nations come to you;	5 Allora vedrai e sarai radiosa, il tuo cuore fremerà e si dilaterà, poiché le ricchezze del mare confluiranno verso di te, le risorse delle nazioni giungeranno a te.
6 camels in throngs wil fill your streets, the young camels of Midian and Ephah; everyone in Saba willcome, bringing gold and incense and proclaiming Yahweh's praises.	6 Una moltitudine di cammelli ti sommergerà, dromedari di Madian e di Efa; tutti giungono da Saba, portando oro e incenso, proclamando le lodi del Signore.
7 Al the flocks of Kedar will gather inside you, the rams of Nebaioth wil be at your service as acceptablevictims on my altar, and I shal glorify my glorious house.	7 Tutte le greggi di Kedar si raduneranno presso di te, i montoni dei Nabatei saranno al tuo servizio, saliranno come offerta gradita sul mio altare, per abbellire il mio tempio di splendore.
8 Who are these flying like a cloud, like doves to their dovecote?	8 Chi sono quelli che volano come nubi e come colombe verso le loro colombaie?
9 Why, the coasts and islands put their hope in me and the vessels of Tarshish take the lead in bringing your children from far away, and their silver and gold with them, for the sake of the name of Yahweh your God,of the Holy One of Israel who has made you glorious.	9 Sì, le isole mi attendono e le navi di Tarsis in primo luogo, per portare i tuoi figli da lontano con il loro argento e oro, per il nome del Signore, tuo Dio, e per il Santo d'Israele che ti onora.

11 Your gates wil always be open, never closed, either day or night, for the riches of the nations to bebrought you and their kings to be let in.	11 Le tue porte saranno sempre aperte, non si chiuderanno né di giorno né di notte, per condurti le ricchezze dei popoli sotto la guida dei loro re.
12 For the nation and kingdom that wil not serve you wil perish, and the nations wil be utterly destroyed.	12 Poiché la nazione e il regno che non ti serviranno, periranno, e le nazioni saranno sterminate.
13 The glory of the Lebanon wil come to you, cypress, plane-tree, box-tree, one and all, to adorn the siteof my sanctuary, for me to honour the place where I stand.	13 La gloria del Libano verrà a te, insieme ai cipressi, gli olmi e gli abeti, per abbellire il luogo del mio santuario e glorificare il luogo dove riposano i miei piedi.
14 Your oppressors' children wil humbly approach you, at your feet al who despised you will faladdressing you as 'City of Yahweh', 'Zion of the Holy One of Israel'.	14 A te verranno, piegati, i figli dei tuoi oppressori, si prosterneranno alle piante dei tuoi piedi, tutti quelli che ti disprezzavano. Ti chiameranno: Città del Signore, Sion del Santo d'Israele.
15 Instead of your being forsaken and hated, avoided by everyone, I will make you an object of eternalpride, a source of joy from age to age.	15 Invece di essere abbandonata, odiata, che nessuno visitava, farò di te un oggetto di orgoglio perpetuo, di gioia per tutte le generazioni.
16 You wil suck the milk of nations, you wil suck the wealth of kings, and you wil know that I, Yahweh,am your Saviour, that your redeemer is the Mighty One of Jacob.	16 Succhierai il latte delle nazioni, popperai alle mammelle dei re. Saprai che io, il Signore, sono il tuo salvatore, il tuo redentore, io, il Potente di Giacobbe.
17 For bronze I shal bring gold and for iron I shal bring silver, and for wood, bronze, and for stone, iron; Ishall make Peace your administration and Saving Justice your government.	17 Invece del bronzo farò venire dell'oro, invece del ferro farò venire l'argento, invece del legno il bronzo e invece delle pietre il ferro. Istituirò la Pace come tuo magistrato e come tuo esattore la Giustizia.
18 Violence wil no longer be heard of in your country, nor devastation and ruin within your frontiers. Youwil cal your wal s 'Salvation' and your gates 'Praise'.	18 Non si udirà più parlare di violenza nella tua terra, né di devastazione e di rovina entro i tuoi confini. Le tue mura le chiamerai Salvezza, e le tue porte Lode.
19 No more wil the sun give you daylight, nor moonlight shine on you, but Yahweh wil be youreverlasting light, your God wil be your splendour.	19 Non avrai più il sole come luce del giorno, e il fulgore della luna non ti rischiarerà più; ma il Signore sarà per te una luce eterna e il tuo Dio sarà il tuo splendore.
20 Your sun will set no more nor wil your moon wane, for Yahweh wil be your everlasting light and yourdays of mourning will be over.	20 Il tuo sole non tramonterà più e la luna non si ritirerà più, ma il Signore sarà per te una luce eterna e i giorni del tuo lutto saranno compiuti.
21 Your people, al of them upright, wil possess the country for ever, the shoot I myself have planted, myhandiwork, for my own glory.	21 Il tuo popolo, tutti saranno giusti e possederanno per sempre il paese, germogli della mia piantagione, opera delle mie mani, per manifestarmi glorioso.
22 The smal est wil grow into a thousand, the weakest one into a mighty nation. When the time is ripe, I,Yahweh, shal quickly bring it about.	22 Il più piccolo diventerà un migliaio e il più modesto una potente nazione. Io sono il Signore: al tempo fissato agirò in fretta.
