Isaiah 60

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA TINTORI
1 Arise, shine out, for your light has come, and the glory of Yahweh has risen on you.	1 Sorgi, e ricevi la luce, o Gerusalemme: la tua luce brilla, e sopra te è spuntata la gloria del Signore.
2 Look! though night stil covers the earth and darkness the peoples, on you Yahweh is rising and overyou his glory can be seen.	2 Ecco: le tenebre copriranno la terra, la caligine i popoli, ma sopra di te sorgerà il Signore, sopra di te si vedrà la sua gloria.
3 The nations wil come to your light and kings to your dawning brightness.	3 Le nazioni cammineranno alla tua luce, i re allo splendore che da te emana.
4 Lift up your eyes and look around: al are assembling and coming towards you, your sons coming fromfar away and your daughters being carried on the hip.	4 Gira intorno lo sguardo e mira: tutti si son raccolti per venire a te: da lungi verranno i tuoi figli, e le tue figlie ti sorgeranno a lato.
5 At this sight you wil grow radiant, your heart will throb and dilate, since the riches of the sea wil flow toyou, the wealth of the nations come to you;	5 Allora tu vedrai e sarai piena di gioia; si maraviglierà, si dilaterà il tuo cuore, quando verso di te si rivolgeranno i popoli del mare, le potenze dell© nazioni a te verranno.
6 camels in throngs wil fill your streets, the young camels of Midian and Ephah; everyone in Saba willcome, bringing gold and incense and proclaiming Yahweh's praises.	6 Tu sarai inondata da numero sterminato di cammelli: i dromedari di Madian e d'Efa, tutti quelli di Saba verranno a portar oro e incenso, a celebrar le lodi del Signore.
7 Al the flocks of Kedar will gather inside you, the rams of Nebaioth wil be at your service as acceptablevictims on my altar, and I shal glorify my glorious house.	7 Tutti i greggi di Cedar radunati per te, gli arieti di Nabaiot saranno usati a tuo servizio, saranno offerti sul mio altare propiziatorio, ed io glorificherò la casa della mia gloria.
8 Who are these flying like a cloud, like doves to their dovecote?	8 Chi son costoro che volan come nuvole? come colombe alle loro colombaie?
9 Why, the coasts and islands put their hope in me and the vessels of Tarshish take the lead in bringing your children from far away, and their silver and gold with them, for the sake of the name of Yahweh your God,of the Holy One of Israel who has made you glorious.	9 Me aspettano le isole, e prima degli altri le navi del mare, per farmi condurre i tuoi figli da lontano, con il loro argento e il loro oro, al nome del Signore Dio tuo, al Santo d'Israele che ti ha glorificata.
10 Foreigners wil rebuild your walls and their kings wil serve you. For though I struck you in anger, inmercy I have pitied you.	10 E i figli degli stranieri edificheranno le tue mura, e i loro re ti serviranno: nel mio sdegno io ti percossi, ma, riconciliandomi, ti ho usata misericordia.
11 Your gates wil always be open, never closed, either day or night, for the riches of the nations to bebrought you and their kings to be let in.	11 E le tue porte saran sempre aperte, non saran chiuse nè di giorno nè di notte, affinchè ti sia condotta la forza delle nazioni, e ti sian menati i loro re.
12 For the nation and kingdom that wil not serve you wil perish, and the nations wil be utterly destroyed.	12 La nazione e e il regno che non ti servirà perirà, quelle nazioni saranno interamente distrutte.
13 The glory of the Lebanon wil come to you, cypress, plane-tree, box-tree, one and all, to adorn the siteof my sanctuary, for me to honour the place where I stand.	13 A te verrà la gloria del Libano, l'abete, il bossolo, il pino, tutti insieme ad abbellire il mio santuario, ed io glorificherò il luogo ove posano i miei piedi.
14 Your oppressors' children wil humbly approach you, at your feet al who despised you will faladdressing you as 'City of Yahweh', 'Zion of the Holy One of Israel'.	14 Curvi a te verranno i figli di coloro che ti hanno umiliata, quelli che ti denigravano adoreranno le orme dei tuoi piedi, e ti chiameranno la città del Signore, la Sion del Santo d'Israele.
15 Instead of your being forsaken and hated, avoided by everyone, I will make you an object of eternalpride, a source of joy from age to age.	15 Perchè fosti abbandonata, odiata e senza chi passasse per te, io ti farò gloria dei secoli, gioia di tutte le generazioni
16 You wil suck the milk of nations, you wil suck the wealth of kings, and you wil know that I, Yahweh,am your Saviour, that your redeemer is the Mighty One of Jacob.	16 e succhierai il latte delle nazioni, sarai allattata al petto dei re, e conoscerai ch'io sono il Signore tuo Salvatore, il tuo Redentore, il Forte di Giacobbe.
17 For bronze I shal bring gold and for iron I shal bring silver, and for wood, bronze, and for stone, iron; Ishall make Peace your administration and Saving Justice your government.	17 Invece del bronzo porterò l'oro, invece del ferro porterò l'argento, in luogo del legno il bronzo, invece delle pietre il ferro, e metterò a governarti la pace, e a tuo magistrato la giustizia.
18 Violence wil no longer be heard of in your country, nor devastation and ruin within your frontiers. Youwil cal your wal s 'Salvation' and your gates 'Praise'.	18 Non si sentirà più parlare d'iniquità nella tua terra, di rapine, di rovine dentro i tuoi confini, nelle tue muraglie starà la salvezza, nelle tue porte i cantici di lode.
19 No more wil the sun give you daylight, nor moonlight shine on you, but Yahweh wil be youreverlasting light, your God wil be your splendour.	19 Il sole non sarà più la tua luce di giorno, non ti rischiarerà lo splendore della luna; ma il Signore sarà la tua eterna luce, il tuo Dio sarà la tua gloria.
20 Your sun will set no more nor wil your moon wane, for Yahweh wil be your everlasting light and yourdays of mourning will be over.	20 Il tuo sole non tramonterà mai, non diminuirà la tua luna; perchè il Signore ti sarà eterna luce, e saran finiti i giorni del tuo pianto.
21 Your people, al of them upright, wil possess the country for ever, the shoot I myself have planted, myhandiwork, for my own glory.	21 Tuo popolo saranno tutti i giusti, possederanno in eterno la terra, essi, germi piantati da me, opera delle mie mani, mia gloria.
22 The smal est wil grow into a thousand, the weakest one into a mighty nation. When the time is ripe, I,Yahweh, shal quickly bring it about.	22 Il più piccolo diventerà mille, il pargoletto una fortissima nazione: io, il Signore, a suo tempo mi affretterò a fare queste cose.
