Isaiah 60

NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 Arise, shine out, for your light has come, and the glory of Yahweh has risen on you.	1 ¡Levántate, resplandece, porque llega tu luz y la gloria del Señor brilla sobre ti!
2 Look! though night stil covers the earth and darkness the peoples, on you Yahweh is rising and overyou his glory can be seen.	2 Porque las tinieblas cubren la tierra y una densa oscuridad, a las naciones, pero sobre ti brillará el Señor y su gloria aparecerá sobre ti.
3 The nations wil come to your light and kings to your dawning brightness.	3 Las naciones caminarán a tu luz y los reyes, al esplendor de tu aurora.
4 Lift up your eyes and look around: al are assembling and coming towards you, your sons coming fromfar away and your daughters being carried on the hip.	4 Mira a tu alrededor y observa: todos se han reunido y vienen hacia ti; tus hijos llegan desde lejos y tus hijas son llevadas en brazos.
5 At this sight you wil grow radiant, your heart will throb and dilate, since the riches of the sea wil flow toyou, the wealth of the nations come to you;	5 Al ver esto, estarás radiante, palpitará y se ensanchará tu corazón, porque se volcarán sobre ti los tesoros del mar y las riquezas de las naciones llegarán hasta ti.
6 camels in throngs wil fill your streets, the young camels of Midian and Ephah; everyone in Saba willcome, bringing gold and incense and proclaiming Yahweh's praises.	6 Te cubrirá una multitud de camellos, de dromedarios de Madián y de Efá. Todos ellos vendrán desde Sabá, trayendo oro e incienso, y pregonarán las alabanzas del Señor.
7 Al the flocks of Kedar will gather inside you, the rams of Nebaioth wil be at your service as acceptablevictims on my altar, and I shal glorify my glorious house.	7 En ti se congregarán todos los rebaños de Quedar, los carneros de Nebaiot estarán a tu servicio: subirán como ofrenda aceptable sobre mi altar y yo glorificaré mi Casa gloriosa.
8 Who are these flying like a cloud, like doves to their dovecote?	8 ¿Quiénes son esos que vuelan como una nube, como palomas a su palomar?
9 Why, the coasts and islands put their hope in me and the vessels of Tarshish take the lead in bringing your children from far away, and their silver and gold with them, for the sake of the name of Yahweh your God,of the Holy One of Israel who has made you glorious.	9 Son barcos que se reúnen para mí, con naves de Tarsis al frente, para traer a tus hijos de lejos, y con ellos su oro y su plata, por el nombre del Señor, tu Dios, y por el Santo de Israel, que así te glorifica.
10 Foreigners wil rebuild your walls and their kings wil serve you. For though I struck you in anger, inmercy I have pitied you.	10 Gente extranjera reconstruirá tus murallas y sus reyes te servirán, porque yo te castigué con mi irritación, pero en mi benevolencia tengo piedad de ti.
11 Your gates wil always be open, never closed, either day or night, for the riches of the nations to bebrought you and their kings to be let in.	11 Tus puertas estarán siempre abiertas, no se cerrarán ni de día ni de noche, para que te traigan las riquezas de las naciones, bajo la guía de sus reyes.
12 For the nation and kingdom that wil not serve you wil perish, and the nations wil be utterly destroyed.	12 Porque la nación y el reino que no te sirvan, perecerán, y las naciones serán exterminadas.
13 The glory of the Lebanon wil come to you, cypress, plane-tree, box-tree, one and all, to adorn the siteof my sanctuary, for me to honour the place where I stand.	13 Hasta ti llegará la gloria del Líbano, con el ciprés, el olmo y el abeto. para glorificar el lugar de mi Santuario, para honrar el lugar donde se posan mis pies.
14 Your oppressors' children wil humbly approach you, at your feet al who despised you will faladdressing you as 'City of Yahweh', 'Zion of the Holy One of Israel'.	14 Los hijos de tus opresores irán a inclinarse ante ti, y todos los que te despreciaban se postrarán ante la planta de tus pies y te llamarán: «Ciudad del Señor». «Sión del Santo de Israel».
15 Instead of your being forsaken and hated, avoided by everyone, I will make you an object of eternalpride, a source of joy from age to age.	15 Antes estuviste abandonada, aborrecida y despoblada, pero yo haré de ti el orgullo de los siglos, la alegría de todas las generaciones.
16 You wil suck the milk of nations, you wil suck the wealth of kings, and you wil know that I, Yahweh,am your Saviour, that your redeemer is the Mighty One of Jacob.	16 Mamarás leche de las naciones, mamarás del pecho de los reyes, y sabrás que yo, el Señor, soy tu salvador, y que tu redentor es el Fuerte de Jacob.
17 For bronze I shal bring gold and for iron I shal bring silver, and for wood, bronze, and for stone, iron; Ishall make Peace your administration and Saving Justice your government.	17 Haré llegar oro en lugar de bronce y plata en lugar de hierro; bronce en lugar de madera y hierro en lugar de piedra. Por magistrados te daré la Paz y por gobernantes, La Justicia.
18 Violence wil no longer be heard of in your country, nor devastation and ruin within your frontiers. Youwil cal your wal s 'Salvation' and your gates 'Praise'.	18 Ya no se oirá hablar de violencia en tu país ni de expoliación y desastre en tus fronteras; a tus murallas las llamarás «Salvación» y a tus puertas, «Alabanza».
19 No more wil the sun give you daylight, nor moonlight shine on you, but Yahweh wil be youreverlasting light, your God wil be your splendour.	19 El sol ya no será tu luz durante el día, ni la claridad de la luna te alumbrará de noche: el Señor será para ti una luz eterna y tu Dios será tu esplendor.
20 Your sun will set no more nor wil your moon wane, for Yahweh wil be your everlasting light and yourdays of mourning will be over.	20 Tu sol no se pondrá nunca más y tu luna no desaparecerá, porque el Señor será para ti una luz eterna y se habrán cumplido los días de tu duelo.
21 Your people, al of them upright, wil possess the country for ever, the shoot I myself have planted, myhandiwork, for my own glory.	21 En tu pueblo, todos serán justos y poseerán la tierra para siempre: serán un retoño de mis plantaciones, obra de mis manos, para manifestar mi gloria.
22 The smal est wil grow into a thousand, the weakest one into a mighty nation. When the time is ripe, I,Yahweh, shal quickly bring it about.	22 El más pequeño se convertirá en un millar, el menor, en una nación poderosa. Yo, el Señor, lo haré rápidamente, a su tiempo.
