Isaiah 60

NEW JERUSALEM	SAGRADA BIBLIA
1 Arise, shine out, for your light has come, and the glory of Yahweh has risen on you.	1 Levanta-te, sê radiosa, eis a tua luz! A glória do Senhor se levanta sobre ti.
2 Look! though night stil covers the earth and darkness the peoples, on you Yahweh is rising and overyou his glory can be seen.	2 Vê, a noite cobre a terra e a escuridão, os povos, mas sobre ti levanta-se o Senhor, e sua glória te ilumina.
3 The nations wil come to your light and kings to your dawning brightness.	3 As nações se encaminharão à tua luz, e os reis, ao brilho de tua aurora.
4 Lift up your eyes and look around: al are assembling and coming towards you, your sons coming fromfar away and your daughters being carried on the hip.	4 Levanta os olhos e olha à tua volta: todos se reúnem para vir a ti; teus filhos chegam de longe, e tuas filhas são transportadas à garupa.
5 At this sight you wil grow radiant, your heart will throb and dilate, since the riches of the sea wil flow toyou, the wealth of the nations come to you;	5 Essa visão tornar-te-á radiante; teu coração palpitará e se dilatará, porque para ti afluirão as riquezas do mar, e a ti virão os tesouros das nações.
6 camels in throngs wil fill your streets, the young camels of Midian and Ephah; everyone in Saba willcome, bringing gold and incense and proclaiming Yahweh's praises.	6 Serás invadida por uma multidão de camelos, pelos dromedários de Madiã e de Efá; virão todos de Sabá, trazendo ouro e incenso, e publicando os louvores do Senhor.
7 Al the flocks of Kedar will gather inside you, the rams of Nebaioth wil be at your service as acceptablevictims on my altar, and I shal glorify my glorious house.	7 Todo o gado menor de Cedar se reunirá junto a ti, os carneiros de Nabaiot ficarão à tua disposição; fá-los-ão subir sobre meu altar para minha satisfação, e para a honra de meu templo glorioso.
8 Who are these flying like a cloud, like doves to their dovecote?	8 Quem é que voa assim como as nuvens, ou como as pombas volvendo ao pombal?
9 Why, the coasts and islands put their hope in me and the vessels of Tarshish take the lead in bringing your children from far away, and their silver and gold with them, for the sake of the name of Yahweh your God,of the Holy One of Israel who has made you glorious.	9 Sim, as frotas convergem para mim, e os navios de Társis abrem a marcha, para trazer de longe teus filhos, bem como sua prata e seu ouro, para honrar o nome do Senhor teu Deus, o Santo de Israel, que te cobriu de glória.
10 Foreigners wil rebuild your walls and their kings wil serve you. For though I struck you in anger, inmercy I have pitied you.	10 Estrangeiros reerguerão tuas muralhas, e seus reis te servirão, pois, se te castiguei na minha cólera, na minha bondade tenho piedade de ti.
11 Your gates wil always be open, never closed, either day or night, for the riches of the nations to bebrought you and their kings to be let in.	11 Tuas portas ficarão abertas permanentemente, nem de dia nem de noite serão fechadas, a fim de deixar afluir as riquezas das nações sob a custódia de seus reis.
12 For the nation and kingdom that wil not serve you wil perish, and the nations wil be utterly destroyed.	12 {Porque a nação ou o reino que recusar servir-te perecerá, e sua terra será devastada}.
13 The glory of the Lebanon wil come to you, cypress, plane-tree, box-tree, one and all, to adorn the siteof my sanctuary, for me to honour the place where I stand.	13 A glória do Líbano virá a ti, e todos juntos, o cipreste, a faia e o buxo, para ornamentar meu lugar santo e honrar o lugar onde pousam meus pés.
14 Your oppressors' children wil humbly approach you, at your feet al who despised you will faladdressing you as 'City of Yahweh', 'Zion of the Holy One of Israel'.	14 Os próprios filhos de teus opressores a ti virão humilhados; a teus pés se prostrarão todos aqueles que te desprezavam; chamar-te-ão a cidade do Senhor, a Sião do Santo de Israel.
15 Instead of your being forsaken and hated, avoided by everyone, I will make you an object of eternalpride, a source of joy from age to age.	15 De abandonada e amaldiçoada, sem ninguém para te socorrer, farei de ti um objeto de admiração para sempre, um motivo de alegria para as gerações futuras.
16 You wil suck the milk of nations, you wil suck the wealth of kings, and you wil know that I, Yahweh,am your Saviour, that your redeemer is the Mighty One of Jacob.	16 Sugarás o leite das nações, e mamarás ao peito dos reis: saberás que eu, o Senhor, sou teu salvador, que teu redentor é o Poderoso de Jacó.
17 For bronze I shal bring gold and for iron I shal bring silver, and for wood, bronze, and for stone, iron; Ishall make Peace your administration and Saving Justice your government.	17 Em vez de bronze, farei vir ouro; em lugar de ferro, farei vir prata; {em vez de madeira, bronze; em vez de pedras, ferro}, farei reinar sobre ti a paz, e governar a justiça.
18 Violence wil no longer be heard of in your country, nor devastation and ruin within your frontiers. Youwil cal your wal s 'Salvation' and your gates 'Praise'.	18 Não se ouvirá mais falar de violência em tua terra, nem de devastações e de ruínas em teu território. Chamarás tuas muralhas Salvação, tuas portas, Glória.
19 No more wil the sun give you daylight, nor moonlight shine on you, but Yahweh wil be youreverlasting light, your God wil be your splendour.	19 Não terás mais necessidade de sol para te alumiar, nem de lua para te iluminar: permanentemente terás por luz o Senhor, e teu Deus por resplendor.
20 Your sun will set no more nor wil your moon wane, for Yahweh wil be your everlasting light and yourdays of mourning will be over.	20 Teu sol não mais se deitará, e tua lua não terá mais declínio, porque terás constantemente o Senhor por luz, e teus dias de luto estarão acabados.
21 Your people, al of them upright, wil possess the country for ever, the shoot I myself have planted, myhandiwork, for my own glory.	21 Teu povo será um povo de justos que possuirá a terra para sempre; será uma planta cultivada pelo Senhor, obra de suas mãos destinada à sua glória.
22 The smal est wil grow into a thousand, the weakest one into a mighty nation. When the time is ripe, I,Yahweh, shal quickly bring it about.	22 Do menor nascerá toda uma tribo, e do mínimo, uma nação poderosa, sou eu, o Senhor, que em tempo oportuno realizarei essas coisas.
