NEW JERUSALEM	MODERN HEBREW BIBLE
1 The vision of Isaiah son of Amoz, concerning Judah and Jerusalem.	1 הדבר אשר חזה ישעיהו בן אמוץ על יהודה וירושלם
2 It wil happen in the final days that the mountain of Yahweh's house wil rise higher than the mountainsand tower above the heights. Then al the nations will stream to it,	2 והיה באחרית הימים נכון יהיה הר בית יהוה בראש ההרים ונשא מגבעות ונהרו אליו כל הגוים
3 many peoples will come to it and say, 'Come, let us go up to the mountain of Yahweh, to the house ofthe God of Jacob that he may teach us his ways so that we may walk in his paths.' For the Law wil issue fromZion and the word of Yahweh from Jerusalem.	3 והלכו עמים רבים ואמרו לכו ונעלה אל הר יהוה אל בית אלהי יעקב וירנו מדרכיו ונלכה בארחתיו כי מציון תצא תורה ודבר יהוה מירושלם
4 Then he wil judge between the nations and arbitrate between many peoples. They wil hammer theirswords into ploughshares and their spears into sickles. Nation wil not lift sword against nation, no longer wilthey learn how to make war.	4 ושפט בין הגוים והוכיח לעמים רבים וכתתו חרבותם לאתים וחניתותיהם למזמרות לא ישא גוי אל גוי חרב ולא ילמדו עוד מלחמה
5 House of Jacob, come, let us walk in Yahweh's light.	5 בית יעקב לכו ונלכה באור יהוה
6 You have rejected your people, the House of Jacob, for it has long been ful of sorcerers like thePhilistines, and is overrun with foreigners.	6 כי נטשתה עמך בית יעקב כי מלאו מקדם ועננים כפלשתים ובילדי נכרים ישפיקו
7 The country is ful of silver and gold and treasures unlimited, the country is ful of horses, its chariots areunlimited;	7 ותמלא ארצו כסף וזהב ואין קצה לאצרתיו ותמלא ארצו סוסים ואין קצה למרכבתיו
8 the country is full of idols. They bow down before the work of their hands, before what their own fingershave made.	8 ותמלא ארצו אלילים למעשה ידיו ישתחוו לאשר עשו אצבעתיו
9 Human nature has been humbled, humankind brought low: do not raise them again!	9 וישח אדם וישפל איש ואל תשא להם
10 Go into the rock, hide in the dust, in terror of Yahweh, at the bril iance of his majesty, when he arises tomake the earth quake.	10 בוא בצור והטמן בעפר מפני פחד יהוה ומהדר גאנו
11 Human pride wil lower its eyes, human arrogance will be humbled, and Yahweh alone wil be exalted,on that day.	11 עיני גבהות אדם שפל ושח רום אנשים ונשגב יהוה לבדו ביום ההוא
12 That wil be a day for Yahweh Sabaoth, for all who are majestic and haughty, for al who are proud, tobe brought low,	12 כי יום ליהוה צבאות על כל גאה ורם ועל כל נשא ושפל
13 for all the cedars of Lebanon, high and proud, and for al the oaks of Bashan;	13 ועל כל ארזי הלבנון הרמים והנשאים ועל כל אלוני הבשן
14 for all the high mountains and for al the proud hil s;	14 ועל כל ההרים הרמים ועל כל הגבעות הנשאות
15 for every lofty tower and for every towering wal ;	15 ועל כל מגדל גבה ועל כל חומה בצורה
16 for all the ships of Tarshish and for everything held precious.	16 ועל כל אניות תרשיש ועל כל שכיות החמדה
17 Human pride wil be humbled, human arrogance brought low, and Yahweh alone wil be exalted, on thatday.	17 ושח גבהות האדם ושפל רום אנשים ונשגב יהוה לבדו ביום ההוא
18 When the idols al disappear,	18 והאלילים כליל יחלף
19 they wil go into the caverns of the rocks and into the fissures of the earth in terror of Yahweh, at thebrilliance of his majesty, when he arises to make the earth quake.	19 ובאו במערות צרים ובמחלות עפר מפני פחד יהוה ומהדר גאונו בקומו לערץ הארץ
20 That day, people wil fling to moles and bats the silver idols and golden idols which have been made forthem to worship,	20 ביום ההוא ישליך האדם את אלילי כספו ואת אלילי זהבו אשר עשו לו להשתחות לחפר פרות ולעטלפים
21 and go into the crevices of the rocks and the clefts in the cliffs, in terror of Yahweh, at the brilliance ofhis majesty, when he arises to make the earth quake.	21 לבוא בנקרות הצרים ובסעפי הסלעים מפני פחד יהוה ומהדר גאונו בקומו לערץ הארץ
22 Have no more to do with humankind, which has only the breath in its nostrils. How much is this worth?	22 חדלו לכם מן האדם אשר נשמה באפו כי במה נחשב הוא
