1 The vision of Isaiah son of Amoz, concerning Judah and Jerusalem.	1 E cose vedute da Isaia, figliuolo di Amos, riguardo a Gerusalemme, e da Giuda.
2 It wil happen in the final days that the mountain of Yahweh's house wil rise higher than the mountainsand tower above the heights. Then al the nations will stream to it,	2 E sarà negli ultimi giorni fondato il monte della casa del Signore sopra la cima di tutti i monti, e si alzerà sopra le colline, e correranno a lui tutte le genti.
3 many peoples will come to it and say, 'Come, let us go up to the mountain of Yahweh, to the house ofthe God of Jacob that he may teach us his ways so that we may walk in his paths.' For the Law wil issue fromZion and the word of Yahweh from Jerusalem.	3 E popoli molti verranno, e diranno: Venite, andiamo, e salghiamo al monte del Signore, e alla casa del Dio di Giacobbe; ed ei ci insegnerà le sue vie, e le vie di lui batteremo: perocché da Sionne verrà la legge, e da Gerusalemme la parola del Signore.
4 Then he wil judge between the nations and arbitrate between many peoples. They wil hammer theirswords into ploughshares and their spears into sickles. Nation wil not lift sword against nation, no longer wilthey learn how to make war.	4 Ed ei sarà giudice delle genti, e convincerà popoli molti: e delle spade loro ne faran vomeri, e falci delle lor lance: non alzerà la spada popolo contro popolo, né si eserciteranno più a combattere.
5 House of Jacob, come, let us walk in Yahweh's light.	5 Casa di Giacobbe venite, e camminiamo nella luce del Signore;
6 You have rejected your people, the House of Jacob, for it has long been ful of sorcerers like thePhilistines, and is overrun with foreigners.	6 Imperocché tu (Signore) hai rigettato il popol tuo, la casa di Giacobbe; perchè sono pieni come in antico, e hanno avuti degli auguri come i Filistei, e sono affezionati a' servi stranieri.
7 The country is ful of silver and gold and treasures unlimited, the country is ful of horses, its chariots areunlimited;	7 Il (loro) paese è pieno d'argento, e d'oro e i suoi tesori sono inesausti.
8 the country is full of idols. They bow down before the work of their hands, before what their own fingershave made.	8 E il loro paese è pieno di cavalli, e i suoi cocchi son senza numero. E il loro paese è pieno d'idoli: hanno adorato l'opera delle lor mani, fatta dalle lor dita.
9 Human nature has been humbled, humankind brought low: do not raise them again!	9 E il piccolo s'incurvò, e il grande si umiliò; tu adunque non dar loro venia.
10 Go into the rock, hide in the dust, in terror of Yahweh, at the bril iance of his majesty, when he arises tomake the earth quake.	10 Entra nella caverna, nasconditi nella fossa dalla faccia terribile del Signore, e dalla gloria della sua maestà.
11 Human pride wil lower its eyes, human arrogance will be humbled, and Yahweh alone wil be exalted,on that day.	11 Gli occhi superbi dell'uomo sono umiliati, e la altura de' grandi sarà depressa: e il Signore solo sarà esaltato in quel giorno;
12 That wil be a day for Yahweh Sabaoth, for all who are majestic and haughty, for al who are proud, tobe brought low,	12 Imperocché il giorno del Signore degli eserciti per tutti i superbi, e altieri, e per tutti gli arroganti, e saranno umiliati.
13 for all the cedars of Lebanon, high and proud, and for al the oaks of Bashan;	13 E per tutti i cedri del Libano alti, e diritti, e per tutte le querce di Basan;
14 for all the high mountains and for al the proud hil s;	14 E per tutti i monti eccelsi, e per tutti i colli elevati;
15 for every lofty tower and for every towering wal ;	15 E per tutte le torri eccelse, e per tutte le mura fortificate;
16 for all the ships of Tarshish and for everything held precious.	16 E per tutte le navi di Tharso, e per tutto quello, che è bello a vedersi.
17 Human pride wil be humbled, human arrogance brought low, and Yahweh alone wil be exalted, on thatday.	17 E la sublimità degli uomini sarà incurvata, e umiliata l'altura de' grandi, e il Signore solo sarà esaltato in quel giorno.
18 When the idols al disappear,	18 E gl'idoli tutti saranno stritolati.
19 they wil go into the caverns of the rocks and into the fissures of the earth in terror of Yahweh, at thebrilliance of his majesty, when he arises to make the earth quake.	19 Ed entreranno nelle caverne de' massi, e nelle voragini della terra per la paura del Signore, e della gloria di sua maestà, allorché egli si leverà per flagellare la terra.
20 That day, people wil fling to moles and bats the silver idols and golden idols which have been made forthem to worship,	20 In quel giorno l'uomo getterà via gl'idoli, e i simolacri, i quali col suo argento, e col suo oro si era egli fatti, per adorare le talpe, e i pipistrelli.
21 and go into the crevices of the rocks and the clefts in the cliffs, in terror of Yahweh, at the brilliance ofhis majesty, when he arises to make the earth quake.	21 Ed entrerà nelle spaccature delle pietre, e nelle caverne de' massi per la paura del Signore, e della gloria di sua maestà, allorché egli si leverà per flagellare la terra.
22 Have no more to do with humankind, which has only the breath in its nostrils. How much is this worth?	22 Lasciate adunque star l'uomo, che ha lo spirito nelle narici; perocché egli è, che e stato riputato l'eccelso.
