1 A human heart makes the plans, Yahweh gives the answer.	1 Le disposizioni dell’animo son dell’uomo; Ma la risposta della lingua è dal Signore
2 A person's own acts seem right to the doer, but Yahweh is the weigher of souls.	2 Tutte le vie dell’uomo gli paiono pure; Ma il Signore pesa gli spiriti
3 Commend what you do to Yahweh, and what you plan wil be achieved.	3 Rimetti le tue opere nel Signore, E i tuoi pensieri saranno stabiliti
4 Yahweh made everything for its own purpose, yes, even the wicked for the day of disaster.	4 Il Signore ha fatto ogni cosa per sè stesso; Eziandio l’empio per lo giorno del male
5 Every arrogant heart is abhorrent to Yahweh: be sure this wil not go unpunished.	5 Chiunque è altiero d’animo è abbominevole al Signore; D’ora in ora egli non resterà impunito
6 By faithful love and constancy sin is expiated; by fear of Yahweh evil is avoided.	6 L’iniquità sarà purgata con benignità, e con verità; E per lo timor del Signore l’uomo si ritrae dal male
7 Let Yahweh be pleased with someone's way of life and he makes that person's very enemies intofriends.	7 Quando il Signore gradisce le vie dell’uomo, Pacifica con lui eziandio i suoi nemici
8 Better have little and with it uprightness than great revenues with injustice.	8 Meglio vale poco con giustizia, Che grandi entrate senza dirittura
9 The human heart may plan a course, but it is Yahweh who makes the steps secure.	9 Il cuor dell’uomo delibera della sua via; Ma il Signore dirizza i suoi passi
10 The lips of the king utter prophecies, he keeps faith when he speaks in judgement.	10 Indovinamento è nelle labbra del re; La sua bocca non falla nel giudicio
11 The balances and scales belong to Yahweh, al the weights in the bag are of his making.	11 La stadera, e le bilance giuste son del Signore; Tutti i pesi del sacchetto son sua opera
12 Evil-doing is abhorrent to kings, since uprightness is a throne's foundation.	12 Operare empiamente è abbominevole ai re; Perciocchè il trono sarà stabilito per giustizia
13 Upright lips are welcome to a king, he loves someone of honest words.	13 Le labbra giuste son quelle che i re gradiscono; Ed essi amano chi parla dirittamente
14 The king's wrath is the herald of death, but the wise will appease it.	14 L’ira del re son messi di morte; Ma l’uomo savio la placherà.
15 When the king's face brightens it spel s life, his favour is like the rain in spring.	15 Nella chiarezza della faccia del re vi è vita; E la sua benevolenza è come la nuvola della pioggia della stagione della ricolta
16 Better gain wisdom than gold, choose understanding in preference to silver.	16 Quant’è egli cosa migliore acquistar sapienza che oro! E quant’è egli cosa più eccellente acquistar prudenza che argento!
17 To turn from evil is the way of the honest; whoever watches the path keeps life safe.	17 La strada degli uomini diritti è di stornarsi dal male; Chi osserva la sua via guarda l’anima sua
18 Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fal .	18 La superbia viene davanti alla ruina, E l’alterezza dello spirito davanti alla caduta
19 Better be humble with the poor than share the booty with the proud.	19 Meglio è essere umile di spirito co’ mansueti, Che spartir le spoglie con gli altieri
20 Whoever listens closely to the word finds happiness; whoever trusts Yahweh is blessed.	20 Chi è intendente nella parola troverà bene; E beato chi si confida nel Signore
21 The wise of heart is acclaimed as intel igent, sweetness of speech increases knowledge.	21 Il savio di cuore sarà chiamato intendente; E la dolcezza delle labbra aggiugnerà dottrina
22 Shrewdness is a fountain of life for its possessor, the fol y of fools is their own punishment.	22 Il senno è una fonte di vita in coloro che ne son dotati; Ma l’ammaestramento degli stolti è stoltizia
23 The heart of the wise lends shrewdness to speech and makes words more persuasive.	23 Il cuor dell’uomo savio rende avveduta la sua bocca, E aggiunge dottrina alle sue labbra
24 Kindly words are a honeycomb, sweet to the taste, wholesome to the body.	24 I detti soavi sono un favo di miele, Dolcezza all’anima, e medicina alle ossa
25 There is a way that some think straight, but it leads in the end to death.	25 Vi è tal via che pare diritta all’uomo, Il fine della quale son le vie della morte
26 A worker's appetite works on his behalf, for his hunger urges him on.	26 L’anima di chi si affatica si affatica per lui stesso; Perciocchè la sua bocca lo preme
27 A worthless person concocts evil, such a one's talk is like a scorching fire.	27 L’uomo scellerato apparecchia del male; E in su le sue labbra vi è come un fuoco ardente.
28 A troublemaker sows strife, a slanderer divides friend from friend.	28 L’uomo perverso commette contese; E chi va sparlando disunisce gli amici
29 The violent lures his neighbour astray and leads him by a way that is not good.	29 L’uomo violento seduce il suo compagno, E lo conduce per una via che non è buona.
30 Whoever narrows the eyes to think up tricks and purses the lips has already done wrong.	30 Chi chiude gli occhi macchinando perversità, Dimena le labbra quando ha compiuto il male
31 White hairs are a crown of honour, they are found in the ways of uprightness.	31 La canutezza è una corona gloriosa; Ella si troverà nella via della giustizia
32 Better an equable person than a hero, someone with self-mastery than one who takes a city.	32 Meglio vale chi è lento all’ira, che il forte; E meglio vale chi signoreggia il suo cruccio, che un prenditor di città
33 In the fold of the garment the lot is thrown, but from Yahweh comes the decision.	33 La sorte è gittata nel grembo; Ma dal Signore procede tutto il giudicio di essa
