Proverbs 15

NEW JERUSALEM	SMITH VAN DYKE
1 A mild answer turns away wrath, sharp words stir up anger.	1 الجواب الليّن يصرف الغضب والكلام الموجع يهيج السخط.
2 The tongue of the wise makes knowledge welcome, the mouth of a fool spews fol y.	2 لسان الحكماء يحسن المعرفة وفم الجهال ينبع حماقة.
3 The eyes of Yahweh are everywhere: observing the wicked and the good.	3 في كل مكان عينا الرب مراقبتين الطالحين والصالحين.
4 The tongue that soothes is a tree of life; the perverse tongue, a breaker of hearts.	4 هدوء اللسان شجرة حياة واعوجاجه سحق في الروح.
5 Only a fool spurns a father's discipline, whoever accepts correction is discreet.	5 الاحمق يستهين بتأديب ابيه اما مراعي التوبيخ فيذكى.
6 In the house of the upright there is no lack of treasure, the earnings of the wicked are fraught withanxiety.	6 في بيت الصدّيق كنز عظيم وفي دخل الاشرار كدر.
7 The lips of the wise spread knowledge, not so the hearts of fools.	7 شفاه الحكماء تذر معرفة. اما قلب الجهال فليس كذلك
8 The sacrifice of the wicked is abhorrent to Yahweh, dear to him is the prayer of the honest.	8 ذبيحة الاشرار مكرهة الرب وصلاة المستقيمين مرضاته.
9 The conduct of the wicked is abhorrent to Yahweh, but he loves the person whose goal is uprightness.	9 مكرهة الرب طريق الشرير. وتابع البر يحبه.
10 Correction is severe for one who leaves the way; whoever hates being reprimanded wil die.	10 تأديب شر لتارك الطريق. مبغض التوبيخ يموت.
11 Sheol and Perdition lie open to Yahweh; how much more the human heart!	11 الهاوية والهلاك امام الرب. كم بالحري قلوب بني آدم.
12 The mocker does not care to be reprimanded, and wil not choose the wise as companions.	12 المستهزئ لا يحب موبخه. الى الحكماء لا يذهب.
13 Glad heart means happy face, where the heart is sad the spirit is broken.	13 القلب الفرحان يجعل الوجه طلقا وبحزن القلب تنسحق الروح.
14 The heart of the wise seeks knowledge, a fool's mouth feeds on fol y.	14 قلب الفهيم يطلب معرفة وفم الجهال يرعى حماقة.
15 For the poor every day is evil, for the joyous heart it is always festival time.	15 كل ايام الحزين شقية. اما طيب القلب فوليمة دائمة.
16 Better to have little and with it fear of Yahweh than immense wealth and with it anxiety.	16 القليل مع مخافة الرب خير من كنز عظيم مع همّ.
17 Better a dish of herbs when love is there than a fattened ox and hatred to go with it.	17 اكلة من البقول حيث تكون المحبة خير من ثور معلوف ومعه بغضة.
18 The hot-headed provokes disputes, the equable al ays dissension.	18 الرجل الغضوب يهيج الخصومة وبطيء الغضب يسكّن الخصام.
19 The way of the lazy is like a thorny hedge, the path of the honest is a broad highway.	19 طريق الكسلان كسياج من شوك وطريق المستقيمين منهج.
20 A wise child is a father's joy; only a brute despises his mother.	20 الابن الحكيم يسرّ اباه والرجل الجاهل يحتقر امه.
21 Fol y appeals to someone without sense, a person of understanding goes straight forward.	21 الحماقة فرح لناقص الفهم. اما ذو الفهم فيقوّم سلوكه.
22 Without deliberation plans come to nothing. Plans succeed where counsellors are many.	22 مقاصد بغير مشورة تبطل وبكثرة المشيرين تقوم.
23 Anyone who has a ready answer has joy too: how satisfying is the apt reply!	23 للانسان فرح بجواب فمه والكلمة في وقتها ما احسنها.
24 For the prudent, the path of life leads upwards thus avoiding Sheol below.	24 طريق الحياة للفطن الى فوق للحيدان عن الهاوية من تحت.
25 Yahweh pulls down the house of the proud, but he keeps the widow's boundaries intact.	25 الرب يقلع بيت المتكبرين ويوطد تخم الارملة.
26 Wicked scheming is abhorrent to Yahweh, but words that are kind are pure.	26 مكرهة الرب افكار الشرير وللاطهار كلام حسن.
27 Craving for dishonest gain brings trouble on a house, hatred of bribery earns life.	27 المولع بالكسب يكدر بيته. والكاره الهدايا يعيش.
28 The heart of the upright reflects before answering, the mouth of the wicked spews out wickedness.	28 قلب الصدّيق يتفكر بالجواب وفم الاشرار ينبع شرورا
29 Yahweh keeps his distance from the wicked, but he listens to the prayers of the upright.	29 الرب بعيد عن الاشرار ويسمع صلاة الصدّيقين.
30 A kindly glance gives joy to the heart, good news lends strength to the bones.	30 نور العينين يفرّح القلب. الخبر الطيب يسمن العظام.
31 The ear attentive to wholesome correction finds itself at home in the company of the wise.	31 الاذن السامعة توبيخ الحياة تستقر بين الحكماء.
32 Whoever rejects correction lacks self-respect, whoever accepts reproof grows in understanding.	32 من يرفض التأديب يرذل نفسه ومن يسمع للتوبيخ يقتني فهما.
33 The fear of Yahweh is a school of wisdom, before there can be glory, there must be humility.	33 مخافة الرب ادب وحكمة وقبل الكرامة التواضع
