Proverbs 15

1 A mild answer turns away wrath, sharp words stir up anger.	1 - Una risposta dolce calma l'ira e una parola aspra desta la collera.
2 The tongue of the wise makes knowledge welcome, the mouth of a fool spews fol y.	2 La lingua dei saggi rimbellisce la scienza e la bocca degli sciocchi proferisce scempiaggini.
3 The eyes of Yahweh are everywhere: observing the wicked and the good.	3 In ogni luogo gli occhi di Dioosservano i buoni ed i cattivi.
4 The tongue that soothes is a tree of life; the perverse tongue, a breaker of hearts.	4 La lingua soave è l'albero della vita, ma la lingua senza freno mette in costernazione lo spirito.
5 Only a fool spurns a father's discipline, whoever accepts correction is discreet.	5 Lo stolto deride gli ammonimenti di suo padre, ma chi fa tesoro delle correzioni diventerà più accorto. In somma giustizia, somma virtù; ma i progetti degli empi saranno abbattuti.
6 In the house of the upright there is no lack of treasure, the earnings of the wicked are fraught withanxiety.	6 La casa del giusto ha un fornimento copioso, e nei proventi dell'empio c'è lo scompiglio.
7 The lips of the wise spread knowledge, not so the hearts of fools.	7 Le labbra dei saggi spanderanno la scienza, ma il cuore degli stolti, non farà il simile.
8 The sacrifice of the wicked is abhorrent to Yahweh, dear to him is the prayer of the honest.	8 Le vittime degli empi sono in abominio al Signore e i voti dei buoni gli sono graditi.
9 The conduct of the wicked is abhorrent to Yahweh, but he loves the person whose goal is uprightness.	9 La via dell'empio è in abominio a Dio e il seguace della giustizia egli ama.
10 Correction is severe for one who leaves the way; whoever hates being reprimanded wil die.	10 Brutta lezione toccherà a chi lascia la via della vita; chi odia la correzione morrà.
11 Sheol and Perdition lie open to Yahweh; how much more the human heart!	11 L'Inferno e la Perdizione sono nella presenza di Dio; quanto più i cuori dei figli degli uomini?
12 The mocker does not care to be reprimanded, and wil not choose the wise as companions.	12 Lo schernitore non ama chi lo riprende e dai saggi non ci va.
13 Glad heart means happy face, where the heart is sad the spirit is broken.	13 Cuore allegro rischiara la faccia e la tristezza dell'animo abbatte lo spirito.
14 The heart of the wise seeks knowledge, a fool's mouth feeds on fol y.	14 Il cuor dell'intelligente cerca la scienza, e la bocca degli stolti si pasce di fatuità.
15 For the poor every day is evil, for the joyous heart it is always festival time.	15 Tutti i giorni del povero sono brutti; però un animo tranquillo è come un banchetto perpetuo.
16 Better to have little and with it fear of Yahweh than immense wealth and with it anxiety.	16 Meglio il poco col timor di Dio, che grandi tesori e che non saziano.
17 Better a dish of herbs when love is there than a fattened ox and hatred to go with it.	17 Meglio essere invitati ad un pasto di legumi, dove regna l'amore, che ad un pranzo di carne di vitello, dove c'è odio.
18 The hot-headed provokes disputes, the equable al ays dissension.	18 L'uomo iracondo suscita le risse, ed il longanime acquieta quelle accese.
19 The way of the lazy is like a thorny hedge, the path of the honest is a broad highway.	19 La via del pigro è come una siepe di spine, e il cammino dei buoni è senza inciampi.
20 A wise child is a father's joy; only a brute despises his mother.	20 Il figlio saggio rallegra il padre, e l'uomo stolto disprezza sua madre.
21 Fol y appeals to someone without sense, a person of understanding goes straight forward.	21 La follia è gioia per l'insensato, ma l'uomo prudente va dritto al suo cammino.
22 Without deliberation plans come to nothing. Plans succeed where counsellors are many.	22 I disegni falliscono dove manca il consiglio; e dove abbondano i consiglieri riescono.
23 Anyone who has a ready answer has joy too: how satisfying is the apt reply!	23 L'uomo gode nel sentenziare di propria bocca, e un discorso opportuno è cosa ottima.
24 For the prudent, the path of life leads upwards thus avoiding Sheol below.	24 Il sentiero della vita è al disopra [per il] savioper evitare l'Inferno che è giù in fondo.
25 Yahweh pulls down the house of the proud, but he keeps the widow's boundaries intact.	25 Il Signore abbatterà la casa dei superbie fisserà i termini della vedova.
26 Wicked scheming is abhorrent to Yahweh, but words that are kind are pure.	26 Abominio di Dio sono i pensieri cattivi, e il parlar casto è approvato da Lui come il più bello.
27 Craving for dishonest gain brings trouble on a house, hatred of bribery earns life.	27 Scompiglia la sua casa chi segue l'avarizia; chi invece odia i regali, vivrà. Per la misericordia e per la fede si purificano i peccati; e col timor del Signore ognuno evita il male.
28 The heart of the upright reflects before answering, the mouth of the wicked spews out wickedness.	28 La mente del giusto medita l'obbedienza ed il labbro degli empi ribocca di malvagità.
29 Yahweh keeps his distance from the wicked, but he listens to the prayers of the upright.	29 Il Signore è lontano dai malvagi, ma esaudirà le preghiere dei giusti.
30 A kindly glance gives joy to the heart, good news lends strength to the bones.	30 Il lume degli occhi allieta l'animo, e la buona fama impingua le ossa.
31 The ear attentive to wholesome correction finds itself at home in the company of the wise.	31 L'orecchio che dà ascolto ai salutari ammonimentidimorerà in mezzo ai saggi.
32 Whoever rejects correction lacks self-respect, whoever accepts reproof grows in understanding.	32 Chi rigetta la disciplina, disprezza l'anima sua; e chi è arrendevole alle correzioni ha senno.
33 The fear of Yahweh is a school of wisdom, before there can be glory, there must be humility.	33 Timor del Signore, regola di sapienza e innanzi alla gloria va l'umiltà.
