Psalms 98

NEW JERUSALEM	NEW AMERICAN BIBLE
1 [Psalm] Sing a new song to Yahweh, for he has performed wonders, his saving power is in his righthand and his holy arm.	1 A psalm. Sing a new song to the LORD, who has done marvelous deeds, Whose right hand and holy arm have won the victory.
2 Yahweh has made known his saving power, revealed his saving justice for the nations to see,	2 The LORD has made his victory known; has revealed his triumph for the nations to see,
3 mindful of his faithful love and his constancy to the House of Israel. The whole wide world has seenthe saving power of our God.	3 Has remembered faithful love toward the house of Israel. All the ends of the earth have seen the victory of our God.
4 Acclaim Yahweh, all the earth, burst into shouts of joy!	4 Shout with joy to the LORD, all the earth; break into song; sing praise.
5 Play to Yahweh on the harp, to the sound of instruments;	5 Sing praise to the LORD with the harp, with the harp and melodious song.
6 to the sound of trumpet and horn, acclaim the presence of the King.	6 With trumpets and the sound of the horn shout with joy to the King, the LORD.
7 Let the sea thunder, and al that it holds, the world and al who live in it.	7 Let the sea and what fills it resound, the world and those who dwell there.
8 Let the rivers clap their hands, and the mountains shout for joy together,	8 Let the rivers clap their hands, the mountains shout with them for joy,
9 at Yahweh's approach, for he is coming to judge the earth; he wil judge the world with saving justiceand the nations with fairness.	9 Before the LORD who comes, who comes to govern the earth, To govern the world with justice and the peoples with fairness.
