1 [For the choirmaster Tune: 'Do not destroy' Of David In a quiet voice] Divine as you are, do you trulygive upright verdicts? do you judge fairly the children of Adam?	1 Ao mestre de canto. Não destruas. Cântico de Davi. Será que realmente fazeis justiça, ó poderosos do mundo? Será que julgais pelo direito, ó filhos dos homens?
2 No! You devise injustice in your hearts, and with your hands you administer tyranny on the earth.	2 Não, pois em vossos corações cometeis iniqüidades, e vossas mãos distribuem injustiças sobre a terra.
3 Since the womb they have gone astray, the wicked, on the wrong path since their birth, with theirunjust verdicts.	3 Desde o seio materno se extraviaram os ímpios, desde o seu nascimento se desgarraram os mentirosos.
4 They are poisonous as any snake, deaf as an adder that blocks its ears	4 Semelhante ao das serpentes é o seu veneno, ao veneno da víbora surda que fecha os ouvidos
5 so as not to hear the magician's music, however skilful his spel s.	5 para não ouvir a voz dos fascinadores, do mágico que enfeitiça habilmente.
6 God, break the teeth in their mouths, snap off the fangs of these young lions, Yahweh.	6 Ó Deus, quebrai-lhes os dentes na própria boca; parti as presas dos leões, ó Senhor.
7 May they drain away like water running to waste, may they wither like trampled grass,	7 Que eles se dissipem como as águas que correm, e fiquem suas flechas despontadas.
8 like the slug that melts as it moves or a still-born child that never sees the sun.	8 Passem como o caracol que deslizando se consome, sejam como o feto abortivo que não verá o sol.
9 Before they sprout thorns like the bramble, green or burnt up, may retribution whirl them away.	9 Antes que os espinhos cheguem a aquecer vossas panelas, que o turbilhão os arrebate enquanto estão ainda verdes.
10 The upright wil rejoice to see vengeance done, and wil bathe his feet in the blood of the wicked.	10 O justo terá a alegria de ver o castigo dos ímpios, e lavará os pés no sangue deles.
11 'So', people wil say, 'the upright does have a reward; there is a God to dispense justice on earth.'	11 E os homens dirão: Sim, há recompensa para o justo; sim, há um Deus para julgar a terra.
