NEW JERUSALEM	SAGRADA BIBLIA
1 [Song Psalm Of the sons of Korah] Great is Yahweh and most worthy of praise in the city of our God,the holy mountain,	1 Cântico. Salmo dos filhos de Coré. Grande é o Senhor e digno de todo louvor, na cidade de nosso Deus. O seu monte santo,
2 towering in beauty, the joy of the whole world: Mount Zion in the heart of the north, the settlement ofthe great king;	2 colina magnífica, é uma alegria para toda a terra. O lado norte do monte Sião é a cidade do grande rei.
3 God himself among its palaces has proved himself its bulwark.	3 Deus se mostrou em seus palácios um baluarte seguro.
4 For look, kings made al iance, together they advanced;	4 Eis que se unem os reis para atacar juntamente.
5 without a second glance, when they saw, they panicked and fled away.	5 Apenas a vêem, atônitos de medo e estupor, fogem.
6 Trembling seized them on the spot, pains like those of a woman in labour;	6 Aí o terror se apodera deles, uma angústia como a de mulher em parto,
7 it was the east wind, that wrecker of ships from Tarshish.	7 ou como quando o vento do oriente despedaça as naus de Társis.
8 What we had heard we saw for ourselves in the city of our God, in the city of Yahweh Sabaoth, whichGod has established for ever.Pause	8 Como nos contaram, assim o vimos na cidade do Senhor dos exércitos, na cidade de nosso Deus; Deus a sustenta eternamente!
9 We reflect on your faithful love, God, in your temple!	9 Ó Deus, relembremos a vossa misericórdia no interior de vosso templo.
10 Both your name and your praise, God, are over the whole wide world. Your right hand is ful of savingjustice,	10 Como o vosso nome, ó Deus, assim vosso louvor chega até os confins do mundo. Vossa mão direita está cheia de justiça.
11 Mount Zion rejoices, the daughters of Judah delight because of your saving justice.	11 Que o monte Sião se alegre. Que as cidades de Judá exultem, à vista de vossos juízos!
12 Go round Zion, walk right through her, count her bastions,	12 Relanceai o olhar sobre Sião, dai-lhe a volta, contai suas torres,
13 admire her walls, examine her palaces, to tel future generations	13 considerai suas fortificações, examinai seus palácios, para narrardes às gerações futuras:
14 that such is God; our God for ever and ever, he is our guide!	14 como Deus é grande, nosso Deus dos séculos eternos; é ele o nosso guia.
