2 For Yahweh, the Most High, is glorious, the great king over al the earth.	2 Grande è il Signore e altamente da lodare nella città del nostro Dio, sul monte santo di lui.
3 He brings peoples under our yoke and nations under our feet.	3 Sta saldo [e si solleva magnifico] tra l'esultanza di tutta la terra, il monte Sion. Il lato di settentrioneè la città del gran re.
4 He chooses for us our birthright, the pride of Jacob whom he loves.Pause	4 Iddio ne' suoi palazzi, si fa conoscere, quando la difende.
5 God goes up to shouts of acclaim, Yahweh to a fanfare on the ram's horn.	5 Perchè, ecco i re della terra s'adunarono, s'avanzarono insieme [contro di lei];
6 Let the music sound for our God, let it sound, let the music sound for our king, let it sound.	6 [ma] al veder[lo] restaron sbalorditi, furon turbati, volsero in fuga.
7 For he is king of the whole world; learn the music, let it sound for God!	7 Tremore li colse là, doglie come di partoriente:
8 God reigns over the nations, seated on his holy throne.	8 [così] col vento furente tu infrangile navi di Tarsis!
9 The leaders of the nations ral y to the people of the God of Abraham. The shields of the earth belongto God, who is exalted on high.	9 Come avevamo [già] udito, così abbiamo [ora] visto nella città del Signore delle schierenella città del nostro Dio: iddio l'ha stabilita in eterno!
	10 Noi meditiamo, o Dio, il tuo favorenel mezzo del tuo tempio.
	11 Come il tuo nome, così la tua lode, [si spande] sino ai confini della terra. Di giustizia è piena la tua destra:
	12 si rallegra il monte Sioned esultan le figlie di Giuda, a motivo, de' tuoi giudizi, o Signore.
	13 Circondate Sion e giratele intorno, contate le sue torri,
	14 ponete mente alla sua fortezza, contemplate i suoi palazzi, per raccontare alla generazione ventura,
	15 che tale è Iddio, il Dio nostro in eterno e ne' secoli. Egli ci governerà in perpetuo!
