1 [For the choirmaster To 'the Doe of the Dawn' Psalm Of David] My God, my God, why have youforsaken me? The words of my groaning do nothing to save me.	1 Salmo di Davide, dato al capo de’ Musici, sopra Aielet-hassahar DIO mio, Dio mio, perchè mi hai lasciato? Perchè stai lontano dalla mia salute, e dalle parole del mio ruggire?
2 My God, I cal by day but you do not answer, at night, but I find no respite.	2 O Dio mio, io grido di giorno, e tu non rispondi; Di notte ancora, e non ho posa alcuna.
3 Yet you, the Holy One, who make your home in the praises of Israel,	3 E pur tu sei il Santo, Il Permanente, le lodi d’Israele.
4 in you our ancestors put their trust, they trusted and you set them free.	4 I nostri padri si son confidati in te; Si son confidati in te, e tu li hai liberati.
5 To you they cal ed for help and were delivered; in you they trusted and were not put to shame.	5 Gridarono a te, e furon liberati; In te si confidarono, e non furon confusi.
6 But I am a worm, less than human, scorn of mankind, contempt of the people;	6 Ma io sono un verme, e non un uomo; Il vituperio degli uomini, e lo sprezzato fra il popolo.
7 al who see me jeer at me, they sneer and wag their heads,	7 Chiunque mi vede, si beffa di me, Mi stende il labbro, e scuote il capo;
8 'He trusted himself to Yahweh, let Yahweh set him free! Let him deliver him, as he took such delight inhim.'	8 Dicendo: Egli si rimette nel Signore; liberilo dunque; Riscuotalo, poichè egli lo gradisce.
9 It was you who drew me from the womb and soothed me on my mother's breast.	9 Certo, tu sei quel che mi hai tratto fuor del seno; Tu mi hai affidato da che io era alle mammelle di mia madre.
10 On you was I cast from my birth, from the womb I have belonged to you.	10 Io fui gettato sopra te dalla matrice; Tu sei il mio Dio fin dal seno di mia madre
11 Do not hold aloof, for trouble is upon me, and no one to help me!	11 Non allontanarti da me; perciocchè l’angoscia è vicina, E non vi è alcuno che mi aiuti.
12 Many bulls are encircling me, wild bul s of Bashan closing in on me.	12 Grandi tori mi hanno circondato; Possenti tori di Basan mi hanno intorniato;
13 Lions ravening and roaring open their jaws at me.	13 Hanno aperta la lor gola contro a me, Come un leone rapace e ruggente.
14 My strength is trickling away, my bones are al disjointed, my heart has turned to wax, melting insideme.	14 Io mi scolo come acqua, E tutte le mie ossa si scommettono; Il mio cuore è come cera, E si strugge nel mezzo delle mie interiora.
15 My mouth is dry as earthenware, my tongue sticks to my jaw. You lay me down in the dust of death.	15 Il mio vigore è asciutto come un testo, E la mia lingua è attaccata alla mia gola; Tu mi hai posto nella polvere della morte.
16 A pack of dogs surrounds me, a gang of villains closing in on me as if to hack off my hands and myfeet.	16 Perciocchè cani mi hanno circondato; Uno stuolo di maligni mi ha intorniato; Essi mi hanno forate le mani ed i piedi.
17 I can count every one of my bones, while they look on and gloat;	17 Io posso contar tutte le mie ossa; Essi mi riguardano, e mi considerano.
18 they divide my garments among them and cast lots for my clothing.	18 Si spartiscono fra loro i miei vestimenti, E tranno la sorte sopra la mia vesta.
19 Yahweh, do not hold aloof! My strength, come quickly to my help,	19 Tu dunque, Signore, non allontanarti; Tu che sei la mia forza, affrettati a soccorrermi.
20 rescue my soul from the sword, the one life I have from the grasp of the dog!	20 Riscuoti l’anima mia dalla spada, L’unica mia dalla branca del cane.
21 Save me from the lion's mouth, my poor life from the wild bul s' horns!	21 Salvami dalla gola del leone, Ed esaudiscimi, liberandomi dalle corna de’ liocorni
22 I shal proclaim your name to my brothers, praise you in ful assembly:	22 Io racconterò il tuo Nome a’ miei fratelli; Io ti loderò in mezzo della raunanza.
23 'You who fear Yahweh, praise him! Al the race of Jacob, honour him! Revere him, all the race ofIsrael!'	23 Voi che temete il Signore, lodatelo; Glorificatelo voi, tutta la progenie di Giacobbe; E voi tutta la generazione d’Israele, abbiate timor di lui.
24 For he has not despised nor disregarded the poverty of the poor, has not turned away his face, buthas listened to the cry for help.	24 Perciocchè egli non ha sprezzata, nè disdegnata l’afflizione dell’afflitto; E non ha nascosta la sua faccia da lui; E quando ha gridato a lui, l’ha esaudito.
25 Of you is my praise in the thronged assembly, I wil perform my vows before al who fear him.	25 Da te io ho l’argomento della mia lode in grande raunanza; Io adempirò i miei voti in presenza di quelli che ti temono.
26 The poor wil eat and be fil ed, those who seek Yahweh wil praise him, 'May your heart live for ever.'	26 I mansueti mangeranno, e saranno saziati; Que’ che cercano il Signore lo loderanno; Il vostro cuore viverà in perpetuo.
27 The whole wide world wil remember and return to Yahweh, al the families of nations bow downbefore him.	27 Tutte le estremità della terra ne avranno memoria, E si convertiranno al Signore; E tutte le nazioni delle genti adoreranno nel suo cospetto.
28 For to Yahweh, ruler of the nations, belongs kingly power!	28 Perciocchè al Signore appartiene il regno; Ed egli è quel che signoreggia sopra le genti.
29 Al who prosper on earth wil bow before him, al who go down to the dust wil do reverence beforehim. And those who are dead,	29 Tutti i grassi della terra mangeranno ed adoreranno; Parimente tutti quelli che scendono nella polvere, E che non possono mantenersi in vita, s’inchineranno davanti a lui.
30 their descendants wil serve him, wil proclaim his name to generations	30 La lor posterità gli servirà; Ella sarà annoverata per generazione al Signore.
31 stil to come; and these will tel of his saving justice to a people yet unborn: he has fulfilled it.	31 Essi verranno, ed annunzieranno la sua giustizia; Ed alla gente che ha da nascere ciò ch’egli avrà operato
