NEW JERUSALEM	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 Al eluia! Praise Yahweh -- it is good to sing psalms to our God -- how pleasant to praise him.	1 Alleluia. Sì, è bello inneggiare al nostro Dio; è dolce innalzare a lui la lode.
2 Yahweh, Builder of Jerusalem! He gathers together the exiles of Israel,	2 Il Signore ricostruisce Gerusalemme, raduna i dispersi d'Israele.
3 healing the broken-hearted and binding up their wounds;	3 Egli risana i contriti di cuore e fascia le loro ferite.
4 he counts out the number of the stars, and gives each one of them a name.	4 Egli conta il numero delle stelle, tutte le chiama per nome.
5 Our Lord is great, al -powerful, his wisdom beyond al telling.	5 Grande è il nostro Dio, immensa la sua potenza, incalcolabile la sua sapienza.
6 Yahweh sustains the poor, and humbles the wicked to the ground.	6 Il Signore sostiene gli umili, ma abbassa fino a terra gli empi.
7 Sing to Yahweh in thanksgiving, play the harp for our God.	7 Cantate al Signore con azione di grazie, con la cetra inneggiate al nostro Dio.
8 He veils the sky with clouds, and provides the earth with rain, makes grass grow on the hills andplants for people to use,	8 Egli copre il cielo di nubi, prepara la pioggia per la terra, fa germogliare i monti con erba.
9 gives fodder to cattle and to young ravens when they cry.	9 Dà al bestiame il cibo, ai piccoli del corvo che gridano a lui.
10 He takes no delight in the power of horses, no pleasure in human sturdiness;	10 Non tiene conto del vigore del cavallo, né si compiace delle gambe dell'uomo.
11 his pleasure is in those who fear him, in those who hope in his faithful love.	11 Egli si compiace di quanti lo temono, di quanti sperano nella sua misericordia.
12 Praise Yahweh, Jerusalem, Zion, praise your God.	12 Glorifica il Signore, Gerusalemme, loda il tuo Dio, o Sion;
13 For he gives strength to the bars of your gates, he blesses your children within you,	13 poiché ha rinforzato le sbarre delle tue porte, in mezzo a te ha benedetto i tuoi figli.
14 he maintains the peace of your frontiers, gives you your fil of finest wheat.	14 Egli rende sicuri i tuoi confini, ti sazia con fior di frumento.
15 He sends his word to the earth, his command runs quickly,	15 Invia sulla terra il suo comando, corre veloce la sua parola:
16 he spreads the snow like flax, strews hoarfrost like ashes,	16 dà la neve, simile a lana, sparge la brina, simile a cenere;
17 he sends ice-crystals like breadcrumbs, and who can withstand that cold?	17 egli getta la sua grandine, simile a briciole; dal suo gelo si formano le acque.
18 When he sends his word it thaws them, when he makes his wind blow, the waters are unstopped.	18 Manda la sua parola e le dissolve, fa soffiare il suo alito e scorrono le acque.
19 He reveals his word to Jacob, his statutes and judgements to Israel.	19 Annunzia la sua parola a Giacobbe, i suoi decreti e i suoi giudizi a Israele.
20 For no other nation has he done this, no other has known his judgements.	20 Non ha fatto questo con nessun'altra nazione, non ha fatto conoscere a loro i suoi giudizi. Alleluia.
