Psalms 147

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBLIA
1 Al eluia! Praise Yahweh -- it is good to sing psalms to our God -- how pleasant to praise him.	1 ¡Aleluya! Alabad a Yahveh, que es bueno salmodiar, a nuestro Dios, que es dulce la alabanza.
2 Yahweh, Builder of Jerusalem! He gathers together the exiles of Israel,	2 Edifica Yahveh a Jerusalén, congrega a los deportados de Israel;
3 healing the broken-hearted and binding up their wounds;	3 él sana a los de roto corazón, y venda sus heridas.
4 he counts out the number of the stars, and gives each one of them a name.	4 El cuenta el número de estrellas, y llama a cada una por su nombre;
5 Our Lord is great, al -powerful, his wisdom beyond al telling.	5 grande es nuestro Señor, y de gran fuerza, no tiene medida su saber.
6 Yahweh sustains the poor, and humbles the wicked to the ground.	6 Yahveh sostiene a los humildes, hasta la tierra abate a los impíos.
7 Sing to Yahweh in thanksgiving, play the harp for our God.	7 Cantad a Yahveh en acción de gracias, salmodiad a la cítara para nuestro Dios:
8 He veils the sky with clouds, and provides the earth with rain, makes grass grow on the hills andplants for people to use,	8 El que cubre de nubes los cielos, el que lluvia a la tierra prepara, el que hace germinar en los montes la hierba, y las plantas para usos del hombre,
9 gives fodder to cattle and to young ravens when they cry.	9 el que dispensa al ganado su sustento, a las crías del cuervo cuando chillan.
10 He takes no delight in the power of horses, no pleasure in human sturdiness;	10 No le agrada el brío del caballo, ni se complace en los músculos del hombre.
11 his pleasure is in those who fear him, in those who hope in his faithful love.	11 Se complace Yahveh en los que le temen, en los que esperan en su amor.
12 Praise Yahweh, Jerusalem, Zion, praise your God.	12 ¡Celebra a Yahveh, Jerusalén, alaba a tu Dios, Sión!
13 For he gives strength to the bars of your gates, he blesses your children within you,	13 Que él ha reforzado los cerrojos de tus puertas, ha bendecido en ti a tus hijos;
14 he maintains the peace of your frontiers, gives you your fil of finest wheat.	14 pone paz en tu término, te sacia con la flor del trigo.
15 He sends his word to the earth, his command runs quickly,	15 El envía a la tierra su mensaje, a toda prisa corre su palabra;
16 he spreads the snow like flax, strews hoarfrost like ashes,	16 como lana distribuye la nieve, esparce la escarcha cual ceniza.
17 he sends ice-crystals like breadcrumbs, and who can withstand that cold?	17 Arroja su hielo como migas de pan, a su frío ¿quién puede resistir?
18 When he sends his word it thaws them, when he makes his wind blow, the waters are unstopped.	18 Envía su palabra y hace derretirse, sopla su viento y corren las aguas.
19 He reveals his word to Jacob, his statutes and judgements to Israel.	19 El revela a Jacob su palabra, sus preceptos y sus juicios a Israel:
20 For no other nation has he done this, no other has known his judgements.	20 no hizo tal con ninguna nación, ni una sola sus juicios conoció.
