Psalms 147

NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 Al eluia! Praise Yahweh -- it is good to sing psalms to our God -- how pleasant to praise him.	1 ¡Aleluya! ¡Qué bueno es cantar a nuestro Dios, qué agradable y merecida es su alabanza!
2 Yahweh, Builder of Jerusalem! He gathers together the exiles of Israel,	2 El Señor reconstruye a Jerusalén y congrega a los dispersos de Israel;
3 healing the broken-hearted and binding up their wounds;	3 sana a los que están afligidos y les venda las heridas.
4 he counts out the number of the stars, and gives each one of them a name.	4 El cuenta el número de las estrellas y llama a cada una por su nombre:
5 Our Lord is great, al -powerful, his wisdom beyond al telling.	5 nuestro Señor es grande y poderoso, su inteligencia no tiene medida.
6 Yahweh sustains the poor, and humbles the wicked to the ground.	6 El Señor eleva a los oprimidos y humilla a los malvados hasta el polvo.
7 Sing to Yahweh in thanksgiving, play the harp for our God.	7 Respondan al Señor dándole gracias, toquen la cítara para nuestro Dios.
8 He veils the sky with clouds, and provides the earth with rain, makes grass grow on the hills andplants for people to use,	8 El cubre el cielo de nubes y provee de lluvia a la tierra; hace brotar la hierba en las montañas y las plantas para provecho del hombre;
9 gives fodder to cattle and to young ravens when they cry.	9 dispensa su alimento al ganado, y a los pichones de cuervo que claman a él.
10 He takes no delight in the power of horses, no pleasure in human sturdiness;	10 No le agrada el vigor de los caballos ni valora los músculos del hombre:
11 his pleasure is in those who fear him, in those who hope in his faithful love.	11 el Señor ama a los que lo temen y a los que esperan en su misericordia.
12 Praise Yahweh, Jerusalem, Zion, praise your God.	12 ¡Glorifica al Señor, Jerusalén, alaba a tu Dios, Sión!
13 For he gives strength to the bars of your gates, he blesses your children within you,	13 El reforzó los cerrojos de tus puertas y bendijo a tus hijos dentro de ti;
14 he maintains the peace of your frontiers, gives you your fil of finest wheat.	14 él asegura la paz en tus fronteras y te sacia con lo mejor del trigo.
15 He sends his word to the earth, his command runs quickly,	15 Envía su mensaje a la tierra, su palabra corre velozmente;
16 he spreads the snow like flax, strews hoarfrost like ashes,	16 reparte la nieve como lana y esparce la escarcha como ceniza.
17 he sends ice-crystals like breadcrumbs, and who can withstand that cold?	17 El arroja su hielo como migas, y las aguas se congelan por el frío;
18 When he sends his word it thaws them, when he makes his wind blow, the waters are unstopped.	18 da una orden y se derriten, hace soplar su viento y corren las aguas.
19 He reveals his word to Jacob, his statutes and judgements to Israel.	19 Revela su palabra a Jacob, sus preceptos y mandatos a Israel:
20 For no other nation has he done this, no other has known his judgements.	20 a ningún otro pueblo trató así ni le dio a conocer sus mandamientos. ¡Aleluya!
