1 Al eluia! Praise Yahweh -- it is good to sing psalms to our God -- how pleasant to praise him.	1 Alleluia.È bello cantare inni al nostro Dio,è dolce innalzare la lode.
2 Yahweh, Builder of Jerusalem! He gathers together the exiles of Israel,	2 Il Signore ricostruisce Gerusalemme,raduna i dispersi d’Israele;
3 healing the broken-hearted and binding up their wounds;	3 risana i cuori affrantie fascia le loro ferite.
4 he counts out the number of the stars, and gives each one of them a name.	4 Egli conta il numero delle stellee chiama ciascuna per nome.
5 Our Lord is great, al -powerful, his wisdom beyond al telling.	5 Grande è il Signore nostro,grande nella sua potenza;la sua sapienza non si può calcolare.
6 Yahweh sustains the poor, and humbles the wicked to the ground.	6 Il Signore sostiene i poveri,ma abbassa fino a terra i malvagi.
7 Sing to Yahweh in thanksgiving, play the harp for our God.	7 Intonate al Signore un canto di grazie,sulla cetra cantate inni al nostro Dio.
8 He veils the sky with clouds, and provides the earth with rain, makes grass grow on the hills andplants for people to use,	8 Egli copre il cielo di nubi,prepara la pioggia per la terra,fa germogliare l’erba sui monti,
9 gives fodder to cattle and to young ravens when they cry.	9 provvede il cibo al bestiame,ai piccoli del corvo che gridano.
10 He takes no delight in the power of horses, no pleasure in human sturdiness;	10 Non apprezza il vigore del cavallo,non gradisce la corsa dell’uomo.
11 his pleasure is in those who fear him, in those who hope in his faithful love.	11 Al Signore è gradito chi lo teme,chi spera nel suo amore.
12 Praise Yahweh, Jerusalem, Zion, praise your God.	12 (147,1) Celebra il Signore, Gerusalemme,loda il tuo Dio, Sion,
13 For he gives strength to the bars of your gates, he blesses your children within you,	13 (147,2) perché ha rinforzato le sbarre delle tue porte,in mezzo a te ha benedetto i tuoi figli.
14 he maintains the peace of your frontiers, gives you your fil of finest wheat.	14 (147,3) Egli mette pace nei tuoi confinie ti sazia con fiore di frumento.
15 He sends his word to the earth, his command runs quickly,	15 (147,4) Manda sulla terra il suo messaggio:la sua parola corre veloce.
16 he spreads the snow like flax, strews hoarfrost like ashes,	16 (147,5) Fa scendere la neve come lana,come polvere sparge la brina,
17 he sends ice-crystals like breadcrumbs, and who can withstand that cold?	17 (147,6) getta come briciole la grandine:di fronte al suo gelo chi resiste?
18 When he sends his word it thaws them, when he makes his wind blow, the waters are unstopped.	18 (147,7) Manda la sua parola ed ecco le scioglie,fa soffiare il suo vento e scorrono le acque.
19 He reveals his word to Jacob, his statutes and judgements to Israel.	19 (147,8) Annuncia a Giacobbe la sua parola,i suoi decreti e i suoi giudizi a Israele.
20 For no other nation has he done this, no other has known his judgements.	20 (147,9) Così non ha fatto con nessun’altra nazione,non ha fatto conoscere loro i suoi giudizi.Alleluia.
