Psalms 145

NEW JERUSALEM	NEW AMERICAN BIBLE
1 [Hymn of Praise Of David] I shal praise you to the heights, God my King, I shal bless your name forever and ever.	1 Praise. Of David. I will extol you, my God and king; I will bless your name forever.
2 Day after day I shal bless you, I shal praise your name for ever and ever.	2 Every day I will bless you; I will praise your name forever.
3 Great is Yahweh and worthy of al praise, his greatness beyond al reckoning.	3 Great is the LORD and worthy of high praise; God's grandeur is beyond understanding.
4 Each age will praise your deeds to the next, proclaiming your mighty works.	4 One generation praises your deeds to the next and proclaims your mighty works.
5 Your renown is the splendour of your glory, I wil ponder the story of your wonders.	5 They speak of the splendor of your majestic glory, tell of your wonderful deeds.
6 They will speak of your awesome power, and I shal recount your greatness.	6 They speak of your fearsome power and attest to your great deeds.
7 They will bring out the memory of your great generosity, and joyfully acclaim your saving justice.	7 They publish the renown of your abounding goodness and joyfully sing of your justice.
8 Yahweh is tenderness and pity, slow to anger, ful of faithful love.	8 The LORD is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in love.
9 Yahweh is generous to al , his tenderness embraces all his creatures.	9 The LORD is good to all, compassionate to every creature.
10 Al your creatures shall thank you, Yahweh, and your faithful shall bless you.	10 All your works give you thanks, O LORD and your faithful bless you.
11 They shal speak of the glory of your kingship and tell of your might,	11 They speak of the glory of your reign and tell of your great works,
12 making known your mighty deeds to the children of Adam, the glory and majesty of your kingship.	12 Making known to all your power, the glorious splendor of your rule.
13 Your kingship is a kingship for ever, your reign lasts from age to age. Yahweh is trustworthy in allhis words, and upright in al his deeds.	13 Your reign is a reign for all ages, your dominion for all generations. The LORD is trustworthy in every word, and faithful in every work.
14 Yahweh supports al who stumble, lifts up those who are bowed down.	14 The LORD supports all who are falling and raises up all who are bowed down.
15 Al look to you in hope and you feed them with the food of the season.	15 The eyes of all look hopefully to you; you give them their food in due season.
16 And, with generous hand, you satisfy the desires of every living creature.	16 You open wide your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing.
17 Upright in al that he does, Yahweh acts only in faithful love.	17 You, LORD, are just in all your ways, faithful in all your works.
18 He is close to al who cal upon him, all who call on him from the heart.	18 You, LORD, are near to all who call upon you, to all who call upon you in truth.
19 He fulfils the desires of al who fear him, he hears their cry and he saves them.	19 You satisfy the desire of those who fear you; you hear their cry and save them.
20 Yahweh guards all who love him, but al the wicked he destroys.	20 You, LORD, watch over all who love you, but all the wicked you destroy.
21 My mouth shall always praise Yahweh, let every creature bless his holy name for ever and ever.	21 My mouth will speak your praises, LORD; all flesh will bless your holy name forever.
