1 [Of David] I thank you, Yahweh, with all my heart, for you have listened to the cry I uttered. In thepresence of angels I sing to you,	1 De tout mon cœur je te rends grâce, Seigneur, car tu as entendu les paroles de ma bouche; je te chante en présence des êtres divins.
2 I bow down before your holy Temple. I praise your name for your faithful love and your constancy;your promises surpass even your fame.	2 Je me prosterne devant ton temple saint, je rends gloire à ton nom pour ta grâce, ta vérité, car ta parole a surpassé tout éloge.
3 You heard me on the day when I cal ed, and you gave new strength to my heart.	3 Le jour où j’appelais, tu m’as répondu, tu m’as rendu l’audace, la force.
4 Al the kings of the earth give thanks to you, Yahweh, when they hear the promises you make;	4 Tous les rois de la terre, Seigneur, te rendront gloire, sitôt qu’ils entendront les paroles de ta bouche;
5 they sing of Yahweh's ways, 'Great is the glory of Yahweh!'	5 Ils célébreront tes voies et diront: “Grande est la gloire du Seigneur!
6 Sublime as he is, Yahweh looks on the humble, the proud he picks out from afar.	6 Le Seigneur, de là-haut, voit ce qui est humble, et de très loin reconnaît les orgueilleux.”
7 Though I live surrounded by trouble you give me life -- to my enemies' fury! You stretch out your righthand and save me,	7 Au milieu de l’épreuve tu me fais revivre, d’un geste tu arrêtes l’ennemi, et ta main me sauve.
8 Yahweh will do al things for me. Yahweh, your faithful love endures for ever, do not abandon what you have made.	8 Comme le Seigneur prend soin de moi! tes bontés, Seigneur, n’auront pas de fin, tu ne peux interrompre l’œuvre de tes mains.
