¹ Al eluia! Give thanks to Yahweh for he is good, for his faithful love endures for ever.	¹ ALLELUIA. Confitemini Domino, quoniam bonus, quoniam in saeculum misericordia eius.
² Let the House of Israel say, 'His faithful love endures for ever.'	² Dicat nunc Israel, quoniam bonus, quoniam in saeculum misericordia eius.
³ Let the House of Aaron say, 'His faithful love endures for ever.'	³ Dicat nunc domus Aaron, quoniam in saeculum misericordia eius.
⁴ Let those who fear Yahweh say, 'His faithful love endures for ever.'	⁴ Dicant nunc, qui timent Dominum, quoniam in saeculum misericordia eius.
⁵ In my distress I called to Yahweh, he heard me and brought me relief.	⁵ De tribulatione invocavi Dominum, et exaudivit me educens in latitudinem Dominus.
⁶ With Yahweh on my side I fear nothing; what can human beings do to me?	⁶ Dominus mecum, non timebo, quid faciat mihi homo.
⁷ With Yahweh on my side as my help, I gloat over my enemies.	⁷ Dominus mecum adiutor meus, et ego despiciam inimicos meos.
⁸ It is better to take refuge in Yahweh than to rely on human beings;	⁸ Bonum est confugere ad Dominum quam confidere in homine.
⁹ better to take refuge in Yahweh than to rely on princes.	⁹ Bonum est confugere ad Dominum quam confidere in principibus.
¹⁰ Nations were swarming around me, in the name of Yahweh I cut them down;	¹⁰ Omnes gentes circuierunt me, et in nomine Domini excidi eos.
¹¹ they swarmed around me, pressing upon me, in the name of Yahweh I cut them down.	¹¹ Circumdantes circumdederunt me, et in nomine Domini excidi eos.
¹² They swarmed around me like bees, they flared up like a brushwood fire, in the name of Yahweh Icut them down.	¹² Circumdederunt me sicut apes et exarserunt sicut ignis in spinis, et in nomine Domini excidi eos.
¹³ I was pushed hard, to make me fal , but Yahweh came to my help.	¹³ Impellentes impulerunt me, ut caderem, et Dominus adiuvit me.
¹⁴ Yahweh is my strength and my song, he has been my Saviour.	¹⁴ Fortitudo mea et laus mea Dominus et factus est mihi in salutem.
¹⁵ Shouts of joy and salvation, in the tents of the upright, 'Yahweh's right hand is triumphant,	¹⁵ Vox iubilationis et salutis in tabernaculis iustorum: “ Dextera Domini fecit virtutem!
¹⁶ Yahweh's right hand is victorious, Yahweh's right hand is triumphant!'	¹⁶ Dextera Domini exaltata est; dextera Domini fecit virtutem! ”.
¹⁷ I shal not die, I shal live to recount the great deeds of Yahweh.	¹⁷ Non moriar, sed vivam et narrabo opera Domini.
¹⁸ Though Yahweh punished me sternly, he has not abandoned me to death.	¹⁸ Castigans castigavit me Dominus et morti non tradidit me.
¹⁹ Open for me the gates of saving justice, I shal go in and thank Yahweh.	¹⁹ Aperite mihi portas iustitiae; ingressus in eas confitebor Domino.
²⁰ This is the gate of Yahweh, where the upright go in.	²⁰ Haec porta Domini; iusti intrabunt in eam. -
²¹ I thank you for hearing me, and making yourself my Saviour.	²¹ Confitebor tibi, quoniam exaudisti me et factus es mihi in salutem.
²² The stone which the builders rejected has become the cornerstone;	²² Lapidem quem reprobaverunt aedificantes, hic factus est in caput anguli;
²³ This is Yahweh's doing, and we marvel at it.	²³ a Domino factum est istud et est mirabile in oculis nostris.
²⁴ This is the day which Yahweh has made, a day for us to rejoice and be glad.	²⁴ Haec est dies, quam fecit Dominus: exsultemus et laetemur in ea.
²⁵ We beg you, Yahweh, save us, we beg you, Yahweh, give us victory!	²⁵ O Domine, salvum me fac; o Domine, da prosperitatem!
²⁶ Blessed in the name of Yahweh is he who is coming! We bless you from the house of Yahweh.	²⁶ Benedictus, qui venit in nomine Domini. Benedicimus vobis de domo Domini.
²⁷ Yahweh is God, he gives us light. Link your processions, branches in hand, up to the horns of thealtar.	²⁷ Deus Dominus et illuxit nobis. Instruite sollemnitatem in ramis condensis usque ad cornua altaris.
²⁸ You are my God, I thank you, al praise to you, my God. I thank you for hearing me, and makingyourself my Saviour.	²⁸ Deus meus es tu, et confitebor tibi, Deus meus, et exaltabo te.
