NEW JERUSALEM	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 Al eluia! Give thanks to Yahweh for he is good, for his faithful love endures for ever.	1 Celebrate il Signore, perché è buono, eterna è la sua misericordia.
2 Let the House of Israel say, 'His faithful love endures for ever.'	2 Dica Israele: "Eterna è la sua misericordia".
3 Let the House of Aaron say, 'His faithful love endures for ever.'	3 Dica la casa di Aronne: "Eterna è la sua misericordia".
4 Let those who fear Yahweh say, 'His faithful love endures for ever.'	4 Dicano quelli che temono il Signore: "Eterna è la sua misericordia".
5 In my distress I called to Yahweh, he heard me and brought me relief.	5 Nell'angoscia ho gridato al Signore: egli mi ha risposto e mi ha tratto al largo.
6 With Yahweh on my side I fear nothing; what can human beings do to me?	6 Il Signore è per me: non avrò timore; cosa può farmi un uomo?
7 With Yahweh on my side as my help, I gloat over my enemies.	7 Il Signore è per me quale aiuto: potrò sfidare quelli che mi odiano.
8 It is better to take refuge in Yahweh than to rely on human beings;	8 E' bene rifugiarsi nel Signore, anziché confidare nell'uomo.

10 Nations were swarming around me, in the name of Yahweh I cut them down;	10 Tutte le genti mi avevano circondato, ma nel nome del Signore li ho sconfitti.
11 they swarmed around me, pressing upon me, in the name of Yahweh I cut them down.	11 Mi avevano circondato, mi avevano accerchiato, ma nel nome del Signore li ho sconfitti.
12 They swarmed around me like bees, they flared up like a brushwood fire, in the name of Yahweh Icut them down.	12 Mi avevano circondato come api divamparono come fuoco fra le spine ma nel nome del Signore li ho sconfitti.
13 I was pushed hard, to make me fal , but Yahweh came to my help.	13 Venni spinto con forza perché io cadessi; ma il Signore è venuto in mio aiuto.
14 Yahweh is my strength and my song, he has been my Saviour.	14 Mia forza e mio canto è il Signore, egli si è fatto salvezza per me.
15 Shouts of joy and salvation, in the tents of the upright, 'Yahweh's right hand is triumphant,	15 Grida di giubilo e di vittoria nelle tende dei giusti!
16 Yahweh's right hand is victorious, Yahweh's right hand is triumphant!'	16 La destra del Signore ha compiuto meraviglie; la destra del Signore s'è elevata, la destra del Signore ha compiuto meraviglie.
17 I shal not die, I shal live to recount the great deeds of Yahweh.	17 Non morrò, resterò in vita, in modo che annunzi le gesta del Signore.
18 Though Yahweh punished me sternly, he has not abandoned me to death.	18 Duramente il Signore mi ha punito, ma non mi ha consegnato alla morte.
19 Open for me the gates of saving justice, I shal go in and thank Yahweh.	19 Apritemi le porte della giustizia: voglio entrarvi e render grazie al Signore.
20 This is the gate of Yahweh, where the upright go in.	20 Questa è la porta della giustizia: solo i giusti entrano per essa.
21 I thank you for hearing me, and making yourself my Saviour.	21 Ti rendo grazie, poiché mi hai esaudito, e ti sei fatto salvezza per me.
22 The stone which the builders rejected has become the cornerstone;	22 La pietra che scartarono i costruttori è diventata testata d'angolo.
23 This is Yahweh's doing, and we marvel at it.	23 Da parte del Signore è avvenuto questo; è una meraviglia ai nostri occhi.
24 This is the day which Yahweh has made, a day for us to rejoice and be glad.	24 Questo è il giorno che ha fatto il Signore: rallegriamoci ed esultiamo in esso.
25 We beg you, Yahweh, save us, we beg you, Yahweh, give us victory!	25 Orsù, Signore, da' la salvezza; orsù, Signore, dona la vittoria!
26 Blessed in the name of Yahweh is he who is coming! We bless you from the house of Yahweh.	26 Benedetto colui che viene nel nome del Signore; vi benediciamo dalla casa del Signore.
27 Yahweh is God, he gives us light. Link your processions, branches in hand, up to the horns of thealtar.	27 Dio è il Signore e ci ha illuminati. Ordinate il corteo con rami frondosi fino ai lati dell'altare.
28 You are my God, I thank you, al praise to you, my God. I thank you for hearing me, and makingyourself my Saviour.	28 Tu sei il mio Dio e ti rendo grazie; sei il mio Dio, e ti esalto.
