NEW JERUSALEM	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 Al eluia! I am fil ed with love when Yahweh listens to the sound of my prayer,	1 Amo il Signore, perché ha dato ascolto alla voce della mia implorazione;
2 when he bends down to hear me, as I cal .	2 perché ha teso verso di me il suo orecchio, quando l'invocavo.
3 The bonds of death were al round me, the snares of Sheol held me fast; distress and anguish heldme in their grip,	3 Mi stringevano funi di morte, i lacci degli inferi mi avvincevano, mi opprimevano tristezza e angoscia.
4 I cal ed on the name of Yahweh. Deliver me, Yahweh, I beg you.	4 Ma ho invocato il nome del Signore: "Ti prego, Signore, salvami!".
5 Yahweh is merciful and upright, our God is tenderness.	5 Pietoso è il Signore e giusto; facile alla compassione è il nostro Dio.
6 Yahweh looks after the simple, when I was brought low he gave me strength.	6 Il Signore protegge gli umili: ero misero ed egli mi ha salvato.

16 I beg you, Yahweh! I am your servant, I am your servant and my mother was your servant; you haveundone my fetters.	16 Sì, o Signore, io sono tuo servo, tuo servo e figlio della tua ancella. Tu hai sciolto le mie catene.
17 I shal offer you a sacrifice of thanksgiving and cal on the name of Yahweh.	17 A te offrirò il sacrificio di lode e invocherò il nome del Signore.
18 I shal fulfil my vows to Yahweh, witnessed by al his people,	18 Adempirò al Signore i miei voti al cospetto di tutto il suo popolo,
19 in the courts of the house of Yahweh, in your very heart, Jerusalem.	19 negli atri della casa del Signore, in mezzo a te, Gerusalemme. Alleluia.
