NEW JERUSALEM	DIODATI
1 Al eluia! I am fil ed with love when Yahweh listens to the sound of my prayer,	1 IO amo il Signore; perciocchè egli ascolta La mia voce, e le mie supplicazioni.
2 when he bends down to hear me, as I cal .	2 Poichè egli ha inchinato a me il suo orecchio, Io lo invocherò tutti i giorni della mia vita.
3 The bonds of death were al round me, the snares of Sheol held me fast; distress and anguish heldme in their grip,	3 I legami della morte mi avevano circondato, E le distrette del sepolcro mi avevano colto; Io aveva scontrata angoscia e cordoglio.
4 I cal ed on the name of Yahweh. Deliver me, Yahweh, I beg you.	4 Ma io invocai il Nome del Signore, Dicendo: Deh! Signore, libera l’anima mia.
5 Yahweh is merciful and upright, our God is tenderness.	5 Il Signore è pietoso e giusto; E il nostro Dio è misericordioso.
6 Yahweh looks after the simple, when I was brought low he gave me strength.	6 Il Signore guarda i semplici; Io era ridotto in misero stato, Ed egli mi ha salvato.
7 My heart, be at peace once again, for Yahweh has treated you generously.	7 Ritorna, anima mia, al tuo riposo; Perciocchè il Signore ti ha fatta la tua retribuzione.
8 He has rescued me from death, my eyes from tears, and my feet from stumbling.	8 Poichè, o Signore, tu hai ritratta l’anima mia da morte, Gli occhi miei da lagrime, I miei piedi da caduta;
9 I shal pass my life in the presence of Yahweh, in the land of the living.	9 Io camminerò nel tuo cospetto Nella terra de’ viventi
10 My trust does not fail even when I say, 'I am completely wretched.'	10 Io ho creduto, e però certo io parlerò. Io era grandemente afflitto;
11 In my terror I said, 'No human being can be relied on.'	11 Io diceva nel mio smarrimento: Ogni uomo è bugiardo.
12 What return can I make to Yahweh for his generosity to me?	12 Che renderò io al Signore? Tutti i suoi beneficii son sopra me.
13 I shal take up the cup of salvation and cal on the name of Yahweh.	13 Io prenderò il calice delle salvazioni, E predicherò il Nome del Signore.
14 I shal fulfil my vows to Yahweh, witnessed by al his people.	14 Io pagherò i miei voti al Signore, Ora in presenza di tutto il suo popolo.
15 Costly in Yahweh's sight is the death of his faithful.	15 La morte de’ santi del Signore È preziosa nel suo cospetto.
16 I beg you, Yahweh! I am your servant, I am your servant and my mother was your servant; you haveundone my fetters.	16 Deh! Signore, esaudiscimi; perciocchè io son tuo servitore; Io son tuo servitore, figliuolo della tua servente; Tu hai sciolti i miei legami.
17 I shal offer you a sacrifice of thanksgiving and cal on the name of Yahweh.	17 Io ti sacrificherò sacrificio di lode, E predicherò il Nome del Signore.
18 I shal fulfil my vows to Yahweh, witnessed by al his people,	18 Io pagherò i miei voti al Signore, Ora in presenza di tutto il suo popolo;
19 in the courts of the house of Yahweh, in your very heart, Jerusalem.	19 Ne’ cortili della Casa del Signore, In mezzo di te, o Gerusalemme. Alleluia
