Psalms 116

NEW JERUSALEM	NOVA VULGATA
1 Al eluia! I am fil ed with love when Yahweh listens to the sound of my prayer,	1 ALLELUIA. Dilexi, quoniam exaudit Dominus vocem deprecationis meae.
2 when he bends down to hear me, as I cal .	2 Quia inclinavit aurem suam mihi, cum in diebus meis invocabam.
3 The bonds of death were al round me, the snares of Sheol held me fast; distress and anguish heldme in their grip,	3 Circumdederunt me funes mortis, et angustiae inferni invenerunt me. Tribulationem et dolorem inveni
4 I cal ed on the name of Yahweh. Deliver me, Yahweh, I beg you.	4 et nomen Domini invocabam: “ O Domine, libera animam meam ”.
5 Yahweh is merciful and upright, our God is tenderness.	5 Misericors Dominus et iustus, et Deus noster miseretur.
6 Yahweh looks after the simple, when I was brought low he gave me strength.	6 Custodiens parvulos Dominus; humiliatus sum, et salvum me faciet.
7 My heart, be at peace once again, for Yahweh has treated you generously.	7 Convertere, anima mea, in requiem tuam, quia Dominus benefecit tibi;

11 In my terror I said, 'No human being can be relied on.'	11 Ego dixi in trepidatione mea: “ Omnis homo mendax ”.
12 What return can I make to Yahweh for his generosity to me?	12 Quid retribuam Domino pro omnibus, quae retribuit mihi?
13 I shal take up the cup of salvation and cal on the name of Yahweh.	13 Calicem salutaris accipiam et nomen Domini invocabo.
14 I shal fulfil my vows to Yahweh, witnessed by al his people.	14 Vota mea Domino reddam coram omni populo eius.
15 Costly in Yahweh's sight is the death of his faithful.	15 Pretiosa in conspectu Domini mors sanctorum eius.
16 I beg you, Yahweh! I am your servant, I am your servant and my mother was your servant; you haveundone my fetters.	16 O Domine, ego servus tuus, ego servus tuus et filius ancillae tuae. Dirupisti vincula mea:
17 I shal offer you a sacrifice of thanksgiving and cal on the name of Yahweh.	17 tibi sacrificabo hostiam laudis et nomen Domini invocabo.
18 I shal fulfil my vows to Yahweh, witnessed by al his people,	18 Vota mea Domino reddam coram omni populo eius
19 in the courts of the house of Yahweh, in your very heart, Jerusalem.	19 in atriis domus Domini, in medio tui, Ierusalem.
