NEW JERUSALEM	JERUSALEM
1 'From among the Israelites, summon your brother Aaron and his sons to be priests in my service:Aaron and Aaron's sons Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.	1 "Quant à toi, fais approcher de toi Aaron ton frère et ses fils, d'entre les Israélites, pour qu'il exercemon sacerdoce: Aaron, Nadab et Abihu, Eléazar et Itamar, fils d'Aaron.
2 For your brother Aaron you wil make sacred vestments to give dignity and magnificence.	2 Tu feras pour Aaron ton frère des vêtements sacrés qui lui feront une glorieuse parure.
3 You will instruct al the skilled men, whom I have endowed with skil , to make Aaron's vestments for hisconsecration to my priesthood.	3 Tu t'adresseras à tous les hommes habiles que j'ai comblés d'habileté et ils feront les vêtementsd'Aaron, pour qu'il soit consacré à l'exercice de mon sacerdoce.
4 These are the vestments which they must make: a pectoral, an ephod, a robe, an embroidered tunic, aturban and a belt. They must make sacred vestments for your brother Aaron and his sons, for them to be priestsin my service.	4 Voici les vêtements qu'ils feront: un pectoral, un éphod, un manteau et une tunique brodée, unturban et une ceinture. Ils feront des vêtements sacrés pour ton frère Aaron et pour ses fils, afin qu'ils exercentmon sacerdoce.
5 They wil use gold and violet material, red-purple and crimson, and finely woven linen.	5 Ils prendront l'or, la pourpre violette et écarlate, le cramoisi et le fin lin.
6 'They wil make the ephod of finely woven linen embroidered with gold, violet-purple, red-purple andcrimson.	6 "Ils feront l'éphod brodé en or, en pourpre violette et écarlate, en cramoisi et en fin lin retors.
7 It wil have two shoulder-straps joined to it; it will be joined to them by its two edges.	7 Deux épaulettes y seront fixées: il y sera fixé par ses deux bords.
8 The waistband on the ephod to hold it in position must be of the same workmanship and be of a piecewith it: of gold, violet-purple, red-purple and crimson materials and finely woven linen.	8 L'écharpe qui est dessus pour l'attacher sera de même travail et fera corps avec lui, elle sera d'or, depourpre violette et écarlate, de cramoisi et de fin lin retors.
9 You will then take two cornelians and engrave them with the names of the sons of Israel,	9 Tu prendras ensuite deux pierres de cornaline sur lesquelles tu graveras les noms des Israélites,
10 six of their names on one stone, the remaining six names on the other, in the order of their birth.	10 six de leurs noms sur la première pierre, et les six noms restants sur la deuxième pierre, selonl'ordre de leur naissance.
11 By the stone-carver's art -- seal engraving -- you wil engrave the two stones with the names of thesons of Israel. You will have them mounted in gold settings	11 C'est selon l'art du lapidaire -- en gravure de sceau -- que tu graveras les deux pierres aux noms desIsraélites, et tu les sertiras dans des chatons d'or.
12 and wil put the two stones on the shoulder-straps of the ephod, to commemorate the sons of Israel.In this way Aaron will bear their names on his two shoulders, before Yahweh, as a reminder.	12 Tu placeras les deux pierres aux épaulettes de l'éphod, comme mémorial des Israélites. AinsiAaron portera leurs noms sur ses deux épaules en présence de Yahvé, pour en faire mémoire.
13 You wil also make golden rosettes,	13 Tu feras des rosettes d'or,
14 and two chains of pure gold twisted like cord, and wil attach the cord-like chains to the rosettes.	14 et deux chaînettes d'or pur que tu feras comme des cordelettes, en forme de torsades, et tu mettrasles chaînettes en torsades aux rosettes.
15 'You wil make the breastplate of judgement of the same embroidered work as the ephod; you wilmake it of gold, violet-purple, red-purple and crimson materials and finely woven linen.	15 "Tu feras le pectoral du jugement brodé comme l'éphod -- tu le feras d'or, de pourpre violette etécarlate, de cramoisi et de fin lin retors.
16 It must be square and doubled over, a span in length and a span in width.	16 Il sera carré et double, d'un empan de long et d'un empan de large.
17 In it you wil set four rows of stones: a sard, topaz and emerald for the first row;	17 Tu le garniras de pierres serties disposées sur quatre rangs: une sardoine, une topaze, une émeraudepour la première rangée;
18 for the second row, a garnet, sapphire and diamond;	18 pour la deuxième rangée, une escarboucle, un saphir et un diamant;
19 for the third row, a hyacinth, a ruby and an amethyst;	19 pour la troisième rangée, une agate, une hyacinthe et une améthyste;
20 and for the fourth row, a beryl, a cornelian and a jasper. These must be mounted in gold settings.	20 pour la quatrième rangée, une chrysolithe, une cornaline et un jaspe; elles seront serties dans deschatons d'or.
21 The stones wil correspond to the names of the sons of Israel, twelve like their names, engraved likeseals, each with the name of one of the twelve tribes.	21 Les pierres seront aux noms des Israélites, elles seront douze selon leurs noms, gravées comme dessceaux, chacune sera au nom de l'une des douze tribus.
22 For the breastplate you wil make chains of pure gold twisted like cords,	22 Tu feras pour le pectoral des chaînettes d'or pur en forme de torsades.
23 and on the breastplate you wil make two gold rings, putting the two rings on the two outside edges ofthe breastplate	23 Tu feras pour le pectoral deux anneaux d'or, tu les mettras à ses deux extrémités,
24 and fastening the two gold cords to the two rings on the outside edges of the breastplate.	24 et tu mettras les deux torsades d'or aux deux anneaux fixés aux deux extrémités du pectoral.
25 The other two ends of the cords you wil fasten to the two rosettes, putting these on the shoulder-straps of the ephod, on the front.	25 Les deux autres bords des deux torsades, tu les mettras aux deux rosettes, et tu les mettras sur lesépaulettes de l'éphod, par-devant.
26 You wil also make two gold rings and put them on the two edges of the breastplate, on the innerside, against the ephod;	26 Tu feras deux anneaux d'or et tu les placeras sur les deux extrémités du pectoral, sur la lisièreintérieure de l'éphod.
27 and you wil make two gold rings and put them low down on the front of the two shoulder-pieces ofthe ephod, close to the join, above the waistband of the ephod.	27 Tu feras deux anneaux d'or et tu les mettras sur les deux épaulettes de l'éphod, vers le bas, enavant, près de leur point d'attache au-dessus de l'écharpe de l'éphod.
28 The breastplate wil be secured by a violet-purple cord passed through its rings and those of theephod, so that the breastplate wil sit above the waistband and not come apart from the ephod.	28 On liera le pectoral par ses anneaux aux anneaux de l'éphod avec un cordon de pourpre violette,afin qu'il soit sur l'écharpe, et que le pectoral ne puisse se séparer de l'éphod.
29 Thus Aaron wil bear the names of the sons of Israel on the breastplate of judgement, on his heart,when he enters the sanctuary, as a reminder, before Yahweh, always.	29 Ainsi Aaron portera les noms des Israélites sur le pectoral du jugement, sur son coeur, quand ilentrera dans le sanctuaire, comme mémorial devant Yahvé, toujours.
30 To the breastplate of judgement you will add the urim and the thummim, and these wil be on Aaron'sheart when he goes into Yahweh's presence, and Aaron will bear the Israelites' judgement on his heart, inYahweh's presence, always.	30 Tu joindras au pectoral du jugement l'Urim et le Tummim, ils seront sur le coeur d'Aaron quand ilpénétrera devant Yahvé, et Aaron portera sur son coeur le jugement des Israélites devant Yahvé, toujours.
31 'You wil make the robe of the ephod entirely of violet-purple.	31 "Tu feras le manteau de l'éphod tout entier de pourpre violette;
32 In the centre it will have an opening for the head, the opening to have round it a border woven likethe neck of a coat of mail, so that it wil not get torn.	32 il aura en son milieu une ouverture pour la tête; son ouverture aura tout autour une lisière tisséecomme l'ouverture d'un corselet de mailles, indéchirable.
33 On its lower hem, you wil make pomegranates of violet-purple, red-purple and crimson, and finelywoven linen al round the hem, with golden bel s between them al round:	33 Sur son ourlet tu feras des grenades de pourpre violette et écarlate, de cramoisi et de fin lin retors,tout autour de l'ourlet, avec, tout autour, des clochettes d'or intercalées:
34 a golden bell and then a pomegranate, alternately, al round the lower hem of the robe.	34 une clochette d'or et une grenade, une clochette d'or et une grenade tout autour de l'ourlet de sonmanteau.
35 Aaron must wear it when he officiates, and the tinkling will be heard when he goes into the sanctuaryinto Yahweh's presence, or leaves it, and so he wil not incur death.	35 Aaron le portera pour officier, on en entendra le bruit quand il entre dans le sanctuaire devantYahvé, ou qu'il en sort, et il ne mourra pas.
36 'You wil make a flower of pure gold and on it, as you would engrave a seal, you wil engrave,"Consecrated to Yahweh".	36 "Tu feras une fleur d'or pur et tu y graveras en intaille, comme un sceau: Consacré à Yahvé.
37 You wil put it on a violet-purple cord; it wil go on the turban; the front of the turban is the place whereit must go.	37 Tu la placeras sur un cordon de pourpre violette, et elle sera sur le turban: c'est sur le devant duturban qu'elle sera.
38 This wil go on Aaron's brow, and Aaron will thus take on himself the short-comings in the holy thingsconsecrated by the Israelites, in all their holy offerings. It wil be on his brow permanently, to make themacceptable to Yahweh.	38 Elle sera sur le front d'Aaron, et Aaron se chargera ainsi des fautes concernant les choses saintesque consacreront les Israélites, pour toutes leurs saintes offrandes. Elle sera sur son front toujours pour leurattirer la faveur de Yahvé.
39 The tunic you wil weave of fine linen, and make a turban of fine linen, and an embroideredwaistband.	39 Tu tisseras la tunique de lin fin, tu feras un turban de lin fin et une ceinture brochée.
40 'For the sons of Aaron you will make tunics and waistbands. You wil also make them head-dressesto give dignity and magnificence.	40 "Pour les fils d'Aaron, tu feras des tuniques et des ceintures. Tu leur feras aussi des calottes quileur feront une glorieuse parure.
41 You wil dress your brother Aaron and his sons in these; you wil then anoint them, invest them andconsecrate them to serve me in the priesthood.	41 Tu en revêtiras Aaron, ton frère, et ses fils, puis tu les oindras, tu les investiras et tu les consacrerasà mon sacerdoce.
42 You wil also make them linen breeches reaching from waist to thigh, to cover their bare flesh.	42 Fais-leur, pour couvrir leur nudité, des caleçons de lin qui iront des reins jusqu'aux cuisses.
43 Aaron and his sons wil wear these when they go into the Tent of Meeting and when they approachthe altar to serve in the sanctuary, as a precaution against incurring mortal guilt. This is a perpetual decree forAaron and for his descendants after him.'	43 Aaron et ses fils les porteront quand ils entreront dans la Tente du Rendez-vous, ou qu'ilss'approcheront de l'autel pour faire le service dans le sanctuaire, afin de ne pas se charger d'une faute quientraînerait leur mort. C'est là un décret perpétuel pour Aaron et sa postérité après lui.
