1 In view of al this we make a firm agreement, in writing. Our princes, our Levites, our priests and therest of the people have put their names to the document under seal.	1 Os que assinaram foram: Neemias, o governador, filho de Haquelai, Sedecias,
2 On the sealed document were the names of: Nehemiah, son of Hacaliah, and Zedekiah;	2 Saraias, Azarias, Jeremias,
3 Seraiah, Azariah, Jeremiah,	3 Fasur, Amarias, Melquias,
4 Pashhur, Amariah, Malchijah,	4 Hato, Sebenias, Meluc,
5 Hattush, Shebaniah, Mal uch,	5 Harem, Merimut, Obdias,
6 Harim, Meremoth, Obadiah,	6 Daniel, Genton, Baruc,

29 And the rest of the people, the priests, the Levites, the gatekeepers, the singers, the temple slavesand all those who had severed relations with the people of the country to adhere to the law of God, as also theirwives, their sons, their daughters, that is, al those who had reached the age of discretion,	29 todos os que tinham discernimento, juntaram-se a seus irmãos, os principais entre eles, e prometeram, sob juramento, que andariam na lei de Deus, que o Senhor tinha dado por meio de Moisés, servo de Deus, que guardariam e observariam todos os mandamentos do Senhor nosso Deus, as suas ordens, as suas leis.
30 have joined their esteemed brothers in a solemn oath to follow the law of God given through Moses,servant of God, and to observe and practise all the commandments of Yahweh our Lord, with his rules and hisstatutes.	30 Prometemos que não daríamos as nossas filhas ao povo da terra, nem tomaríamos as suas filhas para os nossos filhos.
31 We will not give our daughters in marriage to the peoples of the country, nor allow their daughters tomarry our sons.	31 Além disso, vindo os povos da terra trazer mercadorias e comestíveis para vender, aos sábados ou em dias santificados, nós não lhos compraremos, nem no sábado nem no dia santificado. (Também) deixaremos (a terra em descanso) no sétimo ano e perdoaremos todas as dívidas.
32 If the people of the country bring goods or foodstuff of any kind to sel on the Sabbath day, we wilbuy nothing from them on Sabbath or holy day. In the seventh year, we wil forgo the produce of the soil and theexaction of al debts.	32 Nós nos imporemos a obrigação de dar cada ano a terça parte dum siclo para as obras da casa do nosso Deus,
33 We recognise the fol owing obligations: to give one-third of a shekel yearly for the service of theTemple of our God:	33 para os pães da proposição, para a oblação perpétua, para o holocausto perpétuo, para os sacrifícios dos sábados, das neoménias, das festas solenes, para as coisas consagradas, para os sacrifícios pelo pecado, a fim de que (Deus) seja propício a Israel, e para todo o ministério da casa do nosso Deus.
34 for the loaves of permanent offering, for the perpetual oblation, for the perpetual burnt offering, forthe sacrifices on Sabbaths, on New Moons and on festivals, for the consecrated gifts, the sin offerings to expiatefor Israel, in short, for the whole work of the Temple of our God;	34 Deitamos sortes entre os sacerdotes, os Levitas e o povo, acerca da lenha que se deve oferecer, para que fosse levada à casa do nosso Deus por cada uma das nossas famílias, à vez, no tempo devido, de ano a ano, para se queimar sobre o altar do Senhor nosso Deus, conforme está escrito na lei de Moisés.
35 Furthermore, as regards deliveries of wood for burning on the altar of our God as the law prescribes,we have arranged, by drawing lots, how these deliveries are to be made at the Temple of our God by the priests,the Levites and the people by families, at stated times every year.We wil no longer neglect the Temple of ourGod.	35 Prometemos levar todos os anos à casa do Senhor as primícias da nossa terra, as primícias dos frutos de todas as árvores,
36 and further, to bring yearly to the Temple of our God the first-fruits of our soil and the first-fruits of alour orchards,	36 os primogênitos dos nossos filhos e dos nossos gados, como está escrito na lei, e os primogênitos dos nossos bois e das nossas ovelhas, para serem oferecidos na casa do nosso Deus aos sacerdotes que servem na casa do nosso Deus;
37 also the first-born of our sons and of our cattle, as the law prescribes, the first-born of our herds andflocks should be taken to the Temple of our God for the priests officiating in the Temple of our God.	37 também prometemos levar aos sacerdotes, para o tesouro (da casa) do nosso Deus, as primícias dos nossos alimentos, dos nossos licores, dos frutos de todas as árvores, da vinha, do azeite, e pagar o dízimo da nossa terra aos Levitas. Os mesmos Levitas receberão em todas as cidades os dízimos dos nossos trabalhos.
38 Furthermore, we shall bring the best of our dough, of every kind of fruit, of the new wine and of the oilto the priests, to the storerooms of the Temple of our God, and the tithe on our soil to the Levites -- the Leviteswil themselves col ect the tithes from all the towns of our religion.	38 O sacerdote da linhagem de Aarão terá parte com os Levitas nos dízimos que os Levitas receberem; os Levitas oferecerão na casa do nosso Deus o dízimo do dízimo, que tiverem recebido, para se guardar na casa do tesouro.
39 An Aaronite priest wil accompany the Levites when they collect the tithes, and the Levites wil bringa tenth part	39 Com efeito, os filhos de Israel e os filhos de Levi, levarão as primícias do trigo, do vinho e do azeite, à casa do tesouro; ali estarão os vasos consagrados, e os sacerdotes, os cantores, os porteiros e os ministros. Assim não seremos descuidados para com a casa do nosso Deus.
40 a,b of the tithes to the Temple of our God, into the treasury storerooms; for these rooms are wherethe Israelites and the Levites are to bring the contributions of corn, wine and oil, and where the vessels of thesanctuary are, and the officiating priests, the gatekeepers and the singers.
