Nehemiah 10

NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 In view of al this we make a firm agreement, in writing. Our princes, our Levites, our priests and therest of the people have put their names to the document under seal.	1 Como consecuencia de todo esto, asumimos un firme compromiso y lo consignamos por escrito. En el documento sellado atestiguan nuestros jefes, nuestros levitas y nuestros sacerdotes.
2 On the sealed document were the names of: Nehemiah, son of Hacaliah, and Zedekiah;	2 En el documento sellado firmaron: Nehemías, el gobernador, hijo de Jacalías, y Sedecías;
3 Seraiah, Azariah, Jeremiah,	3 Seraías, Azarías, Jeremías,
4 Pashhur, Amariah, Malchijah,	4 Pasjur, Amarías, Malaquías,
5 Hattush, Shebaniah, Mal uch,	5 Jatús, Sebanías, Maluc,
6 Harim, Meremoth, Obadiah,	6 Jarím, Meremot, Abdías,
7 Daniel, Ginnethon, Baruch,	7 Daniel, Guinetón, Baruc,

29 And the rest of the people, the priests, the Levites, the gatekeepers, the singers, the temple slavesand all those who had severed relations with the people of the country to adhere to the law of God, as also theirwives, their sons, their daughters, that is, al those who had reached the age of discretion,	29 El resto del pueblo, de los sacerdotes y levitas, los porteros, los cantores, los empleados del Templo, en una palabra, todos los que se separaron de los pueblos extranjeros para seguir la Ley de Dios, lo mismo que sus mujeres y sus hijos, y todos los que son capaces de entender,
30 have joined their esteemed brothers in a solemn oath to follow the law of God given through Moses,servant of God, and to observe and practise all the commandments of Yahweh our Lord, with his rules and hisstatutes.	30 se unen a sus hermanos y a sus dignatarios, y se comprometen con imprecación y juramento a proceder según la Ley de Dios, que ha sido dada por medio de Moisés, el servidor de Dios, y a observar y practicar todos los mandamientos del Señor, nuestro Dios, sus normas y preceptos. Las cláusulas del compromiso
31 We will not give our daughters in marriage to the peoples of the country, nor allow their daughters tomarry our sons.	31 En particular, no daremos nuestras hijas a la gente del país ni tomaremos sus hijas como esposas para nuestros hijos.
32 If the people of the country bring goods or foodstuff of any kind to sel on the Sabbath day, we wilbuy nothing from them on Sabbath or holy day. In the seventh year, we wil forgo the produce of the soil and theexaction of al debts.	32 Si la gente del país trae mercancías o cualquier otro objeto, para vender en día sábado, no les compraremos nada en sábado o en día festivo. El séptimo año, dejaremos los campos sin cultivar y cancelaremos cualquier clase de deuda.
33 We recognise the fol owing obligations: to give one-third of a shekel yearly for the service of theTemple of our God:	33 Nos imponemos la obligación de dar cada año un tercio de siclo para el culto de la Casa de nuestro Dios,
34 for the loaves of permanent offering, for the perpetual oblation, for the perpetual burnt offering, forthe sacrifices on Sabbaths, on New Moons and on festivals, for the consecrated gifts, the sin offerings to expiatefor Israel, in short, for the whole work of the Temple of our God;	34 para el pan de la ofrenda y la oblación perpetua, para el holocausto diario y los sacrificios del sábado, de las neomenias y solemnidades, para las ofrendas consagradas y los sacrificios de expiación por los pecados de Israel, en una palabra, para todo el servicio de la Casa de nuestro Dios.
35 Furthermore, as regards deliveries of wood for burning on the altar of our God as the law prescribes,we have arranged, by drawing lots, how these deliveries are to be made at the Temple of our God by the priests,the Levites and the people by families, at stated times every year.We wil no longer neglect the Temple of ourGod.	35 En cuanto a la ofrenda de leña, los sacerdotes, los levitas y el pueblo hemos echado suertes para que cada una de nuestras familias la traiga por turno a la Casa de nuestro Dios, en los tiempos fijados, año tras año, a fin de que arda en el altar del Señor, nuestro Dios, como está escrito en la Ley.
36 and further, to bring yearly to the Temple of our God the first-fruits of our soil and the first-fruits of alour orchards,	36 Nos obligamos asimismo a traer a la Casa del Señor, año tras año, los primeros frutos de nuestro suelo, las primicias de todos los árboles frutales
37 also the first-born of our sons and of our cattle, as the law prescribes, the first-born of our herds andflocks should be taken to the Temple of our God for the priests officiating in the Temple of our God.	37 y los primogénitos de nuestros hijos y de nuestro ganado, como está escrito en la Ley. Los primogénitos de nuestro ganado serán llevados a la Casa de nuestro Dios para los sacerdotes que prestan servicio en ella.
38 Furthermore, we shall bring the best of our dough, of every kind of fruit, of the new wine and of the oilto the priests, to the storerooms of the Temple of our God, and the tithe on our soil to the Levites -- the Leviteswil themselves col ect the tithes from all the towns of our religion.	38 Lo mejor de nuestra molienda, de nuestros productos, de toda clase de frutos, del vino nuevo y del aceite fresco, los llevaremos a los sacerdotes para los depósitos de la Casa de nuestro Dios; el diezmo de nuestro suelo será para los levitas, y ellos mismos cobrarán el diezmo en todas las ciudades de nuestras zonas de cultivo.
39 An Aaronite priest wil accompany the Levites when they collect the tithes, and the Levites wil bringa tenth part	39 Un sacerdote, hijo de Aarón, estará con los levitas cuando cobren el diezmo, y los levitas harán llegar la décima parte del diezmo a la Casa de nuestro Dios, para los depósitos del Tesoro.
40 a,b of the tithes to the Temple of our God, into the treasury storerooms; for these rooms are wherethe Israelites and the Levites are to bring the contributions of corn, wine and oil, and where the vessels of thesanctuary are, and the officiating priests, the gatekeepers and the singers.	40 Porque en esos depósitos los israelitas y los hijos de Leví colocarán las ofrendas de trigo, de vino nuevo y aceite fresco. Allí están también los utensilios del Santuario, los sacerdotes que prestan servicio, los porteros y los cantores. Así no descuidaremos la Casa de nuestro Dios.
